Chapter 220: Ancient Speed Enhancement Potion Formula (Second update, seeking votes)

The Treasure Vat Li Zhangsheng was pointing at was a Darkness Treasure Vat.

Due to the Moonlight Meow's Dark Vision Aura, even if the Darkness Treasure Vat activated Night Curtain, it was completely ineffective against Li Zhangsheng and his Demon Pets.

The same logic applied to the Light Treasure Vat!

Without a doubt, the Light and Darkness Treasure Vats had the highest probability of being broken.

However, even Treasure Vats of the same attribute had differences in strength; perhaps this was so the successor could improve their strength step-by-step, or perhaps it was determined by the value of the treasures, resulting in a large disparity in the strength of the energy Restrictions laid down.

Under Li Zhangsheng's command, several Demon Pets aimed at the Darkness Treasure Vat and launched their long-range attacks one after another.

Destruction Beam, Blazing Light Sword, Darkness Sword, Earth Wave, Three-Colored Beam, Leaf Blade Slash, Explosive Fireball, Holy Light Judgment!

In an instant, eight different long-range attacks landed on the Darkness Treasure Vat.

Under the assault of the eight Demon Pets, the Darkness Treasure Vat instantly activated Night Curtain, shrouding most of the Treasure Room within it.

Unfortunately, for the Moonlight Meow, which possessed the Dark Vision Aura, the Night Curtain activated by the Darkness Treasure Vat was completely ineffective.

Eight energy blasts struck the energy barrier of the Darkness Treasure Vat, causing only an imperceptible ripple before it stabilized once more.

Li Zhangsheng could not help but frown, but he did not call for a stop, letting the eight Demon Pets continue their long-range assault.

However, the Darkness Treasure Vat seemed as if it could be replenished; even though the eight Demon Pets were doing their utmost, the black energy screen never weakened and remained at its peak state throughout.

"It seems the energy of the entire Secret Realm is basically being supplied to these Treasure Vats. Unless the energy supply is cut off, it is very difficult to break the Restrictions of these Treasure Vats!" Li Zhangsheng frowned; he knew things would not be that simple.

Under these circumstances, he had to give up on this Darkness Treasure Vat and immediately commanded the eight Demon Pets to attack the Light Treasure Vat to the side.

After the first round of attacks, Li Zhangsheng had to call for a stop; this Light Treasure Vat was even more monstrous than the previous Darkness Treasure Vat, as it did not even ripple in the slightest.

Under these circumstances, Li Zhangsheng had no choice but to select the next target.

Soon, after constant probing, Li Zhangsheng finally found a Water Element Treasure Vat with relatively weak energy and immediately commanded the eight Demon Pets to continuously launch attacks.

The characteristic of the Water Element Treasure Vat was its endless supply; its energy recovery speed far exceeded that of Treasure Vats of other attributes. Unless one was certain of breaking the Treasure Vat in a short time, the consumption speed would not even match the Treasure Vat's recovery speed.

Under the continuous assault of the eight Demon Pets, the energy barrier of the Water Element Treasure Vat began to ripple more and more intensely, giving the feeling that it could be broken at any moment.

However, if one observed carefully, one would discover that every short interval, the energy Restriction would receive some replenishment of Water Element energy.

Li Zhangsheng stared intently at the Water Element Treasure Vat, and when he saw the energy barrier gradually becoming thinner and paler, hope welled up in his heart.

Very good, the consumption speed exceeded the recovery speed; as long as they persisted, they would definitely be able to break the Water Element Treasure Vat.

Pop~

After about five minutes, following a soft sound, the energy barrier of the Water Element Treasure Vat flickered crazily a few times and finally disappeared.

"Stop!" Li Zhangsheng immediately called for a stop, fearing that the treasure inside the vat would be damaged.

Having lost the protection of the energy barrier, Li Zhangsheng reached into the Treasure Vat; this time, there was no situation of being blocked by energy, and he successfully grabbed the item inside.

This was a piece of parchment, covered in dense Continental Common Script and formulas.

"Ancient Speed Enhancement Potion formula!"

As long as an Alchemist had sufficient ability and had gathered the formula and materials, they could concoct the corresponding Alchemical Pill or potion according to the formula's instructions.

Among these medicines, those for treating injuries, eliminating abnormal statuses, and recovering physical strength were relatively common, while those for ability enhancement, temporary combat power boosts, and recovering soul trauma were relatively rare, which was mainly related to the formulas and materials.

Some materials had already vanished into the dust of history. Although one could look for substitutes, this would undoubtedly require a large amount of time and energy.

With this formula recording the Ancient Speed Enhancement Potion, as long as the materials were gathered, one could attempt to make the Speed Enhancement Potion, which could permanently increase a Demon Pet's speed; as for how much it could increase, it mainly depended on the Demon Pet's quality.

Compared to Fairy Food specialized in increasing speed, the Speed Enhancement Potion took effect faster, but each Spirit Beast could only have an effect from the Speed Enhancement Potion the first time it was consumed.

This kind of potion that permanently increased a Demon Pet's speed might not be obvious for a single Demon Pet, but if every Demon Pet consumed it, the enhanced combat power would naturally be optimistic.

High speed had many benefits; it allowed for better dodging of attacks, chasing down enemies, increasing attack frequency, and even improving hit rates.

Li Zhangsheng glanced at the formula, which listed dozens of relatively rare materials; he hadn't even heard of many of them. Just gathering the materials listed would likely require a huge amount of energy, and some materials might even be extinct, which would be even more troublesome.

Without a doubt, wanting to make the Speed Enhancement Potion was not something that could be done in a short time.

After putting away the potion formula, Li Zhangsheng continued to command the eight Demon Pets to probe the next Treasure Vat.

As one Treasure Vat after another was eliminated, soon, Li Zhangsheng found another Treasure Vat that could be breached.

This time it was a Fire Element Treasure Vat, and its characteristics were very distinct: except for Fire Element Demon Pets, other Demon Pets would often fall into a burn state upon touching it.

Simply put, it was best not to choose physical melee attacks.

"Attack!"

Under Li Zhangsheng's command, the eight Demon Pets launched long-range attacks almost simultaneously, all striking the energy barrier together.

This time, the energy barrier rippled in layers, and although the ripples were not as strong as the previous one, they were not far off; the key was that this was a Fire Element Treasure Vat, and its energy recovery speed was far inferior to the previous Water Element Treasure Vat.

Under the uninterrupted bombardment of the eight Demon Pets, the energy barrier of the Fire Element Treasure Vat began to thin and fade at a speed visible to the naked eye. Because the consumption speed was only slightly stronger than the recovery speed, this process could be said to be relatively slow.

Soon, ten minutes passed, and the energy barrier of the Fire Element Treasure Vat only had a thin layer remaining; however, as the price, Li Zhangsheng's Demon Pets were also panting, inevitably slowing down their attack intensity.

"Keep it up, we're almost there!" Seeing this situation, Li Zhangsheng hurriedly boosted their morale.

The eight Demon Pets barely pulled themselves together, and the bombardment intensity returned to the level it was at before, though this situation was bound not to last long.

Pop~

One minute later, the eight Demon Pets finally broke through the energy barrier; they collapsed onto the ground one after another, panting heavily and not wanting to move.
