Chapter 225: Demonized Fairy Warrior (First Update)

The next morning, in the inn lobby!

Li Zhangsheng put down the mission list in his hand and pointed to one of the missions, saying, "I have decided to take this Ordinary-difficulty mission. However, the target this time is not a Demonized Fairy, but a pair of Monster Tamer brothers wanted by the government. They both possess the level of a Second-Rank Beast Master! Well, what do you all think?"

Although he did not choose a Difficult-level mission, Li Zhangsheng still increased the difficulty somewhat; compared to Demonized Fairies that only know how to act recklessly, wanted Monster Tamers are undoubtedly harder to deal with.

"I agree with the captain's decision!" The first to agree was still Yuan Yongyan.

"Agreed!"

"Agreed!"

"Agreed!"

There were no surprises; everyone chose to agree, as this was, after all, an Ordinary-level mission.

"This is your mission information!"

After Li Zhangsheng accepted the mission, Instructor Qian Yuanfei handed over the detailed information.

Mission: Kill the Yang Brothers!

Targets: Yang Chenggang, Yang Chengtie!

Reward: 80 Academic Credits!

Note: They are both Second-Rank Beast Masters. Yang Chenggang has a steady personality, is lustful, and possesses a Demon Pet... Yang Chengtie has a cunning personality, is a gambler, and possesses a Demon Pet...

Although it is also an Ordinary-level mission, the Academic Credit reward this time is significantly more generous.

Instructor Qian Yuanfei took out a map and pointed to a location, saying, "According to our latest news, someone saw the Yang Brothers in Yuan City two days ago; they might still be there! Of course, if the targets have already left, you can choose to continue tracking them, or change the mission unconditionally!"

The Elite Class going out for training is, after all, meant to temper the team; if they cannot find the targets for a long time, wouldn't that affect the effectiveness of the training?

Although Yuan City is only a small city, it still has a population of over one hundred thousand, so searching would certainly be troublesome; however, if they haven't relocated, then it would be much easier to handle.

"If you find them, remember not to involve civilians to avoid causing a negative impact on our Academy's reputation. If you involve innocent people, the Academic Credit reward for this mission will be deducted in full!"

"Instructor, you can rest assured about that!" Li Zhangsheng nodded, then shouted to his teammates: "Did you all hear that? Unless absolutely necessary, you must not involve ordinary people!"

"Yes!"

The four team members naturally had no objections.

"We are setting off now, destination Yuan City!"

Li Zhangsheng took the lead in leaving the inn and, together with his teammates, rode large Flying Demon Pets toward Yuan City.

The total distance was only a few hundred miles, and with the help of the Flying Demon Pets, Li Zhangsheng and the others successfully arrived at Yuan City before noon.

Immediately, Li Zhangsheng proposed: "Let's first scout the area around the destination! Remember, we are Monster Tamers passing through Yuan City; if we find the Yang Brothers, absolutely do not show any inappropriate emotions! If we don't find them, we will then change the mission!"

No one had any objections; this was also a very normal matter. If the Yang Brothers were still there, they could designate a strategy to kill them; if they had already left, then they would change the mission!

To avoid alerting the enemy, Li Zhangsheng specifically divided the team into two groups. He took Li Tianyu, and Yuan Yongyan took the other two. Both sides roughly agreed on the scouting range, which would not exceed one mile apart. If one side was discovered by the Yang Brothers, they were to prioritize holding their ground and waiting for reinforcements.

That person had only seen the Yang Brothers but did not know where they lived, otherwise, there would have been no need for such trouble.

Just as Li Zhangsheng was wandering around with Li Tianyu, not long after, Yuan Yongyan discovered the trail of Yang Chengtie.

After discovering Yang Chengtie, Yuan Yongyan did not act rashly, signaling Wang Ding to go and notify Li Zhangsheng and the other, while Yuan Yongyan and Chen Yunsheng trailed far behind Yang Chengtie.

Yuan Yongyan thought she was doing this without anyone knowing, but she was, after all, tracking someone for the first time, and she was eventually noticed by Yang Chengtie.

However, Yang Chengtie did not make any unusual moves, instead leading Yuan Yongyan and the other to a secluded small courtyard.

After Yang Chengtie entered the courtyard, Yuan Yongyan and the other did not leave, nor did they dare to release their Mental Power. They wandered around the courtyard, wanting to wait for Li Zhangsheng and the others to rendezvous.

Unfortunately, before Li Zhangsheng and the others could arrive, the Yang Brothers suddenly appeared from behind them, catching Yuan Yongyan and Chen Yunsheng off guard.

"Ah!"

In a short amount of time, Chen Yunsheng let out a miserable cry. He had just released a blood-type Demon Pet when it was besieged by several of the Yang Brothers' Demon Pets, instantly causing the blood-type Demon Pet to die.

From the very beginning, the Yang Brothers' target was Chen Yunsheng, not the clearly stronger Yuan Yongyan.

The moment the blood-type Demon Pet died, Chen Yunsheng groaned, his face turned deathly pale, a trickle of blood flowed from the corner of his mouth, and his Consciousness Sea suffered a violent shock.

In a state of mental shock, even releasing Mental Power or summoning Demon Pets could potentially cause further injury, let alone using a Spirit Secret Law.

In the blink of an eye, Chen Yunsheng was severely wounded. Yuan Yongyan hurriedly released more Demon Pets, barely blocking the Yang Brothers' first wave of attacks.

The Yang Brothers looked at each other, wanting to kill Chen Yunsheng immediately.

Yuan Yongyan saw through their intentions. She immediately summoned her strongest Demon Pet; a Purple Hexagram appeared, and a relatively rare Warrior-type Demon Pet appeared on the field.

【Spirit Beast Name】: Demonized Fairy (Growth Stage)

【Spirit Beast Realm】: Mid-level 9th Rank

【Spirit Beast Species】: High-level War General

【Spirit Beast Quality】: Superior Quality

【Spirit Beast Bloodline】: None

【Spirit Beast Attribute】: Wood Element

【Spirit Beast Status】: Healthy

【Spirit Beast Weakness】: Fire

The Demonized Fairy is an anomaly among plant-type Spirit Beasts. Compared to ordinary plant-type Spirit Beasts, the Demonized Fairy not only possesses powerful strength and defensive capabilities, but its speed is also not slow. Among Warrior Species Spirit Beasts, it rarely has an opponent; its only flaw is its fear of fire, which is also a common ailment of plant-type Spirit Beasts.

"Demonized Fairy, Tree Transformation Barrier!" Yuan Yongyan commanded the Demonized Fairy to protect Chen Yunsheng.

The Demonized Fairy's whole body flickered with rich green light, transforming into a layer of green light screen, protecting itself and Chen Yunsheng within it.

Yuan Yongyan asked quickly: "How is it? Can you still fight?"

"I'm okay!" Chen Yunsheng was somewhat panicked, but in a life-or-death situation, even knowing it might cause further injury, he still endured the mental shock and summoned his other Demon Pets.

Just after summoning one Demon Pet, Chen Yunsheng's body shook violently, he spat out a mouthful of blood, and his expression became listless.

Seeing this situation, the Yang Brothers, who were just about to draw power to deal with Chen Yunsheng, looked at each other. They tacitly ignored Chen Yunsheng for the time being and commanded their Demon Pets to attack Yuan Yongyan with all their might.

For a time, Yuan Yongyan was in constant danger.

Under the Yang Brothers' airtight offensive, if things continued like this, defeat would be a matter of time.
