Chapter 264: Should We Take the Hell-level Task? (Second Update, Requesting Everything)

Three days later, Heilongshan!

Woo—

It was near dusk. An Elite-level Demonized Mammoth, nearly two zhang long, let out an angry roar. Its body was covered in wounds of varying sizes, and under the onslaught of Aixi, it was in constant danger; defeat was only a matter of time.

However, due to the influence of the Demonic Qi, the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth only knew how to kill and had no intention of retreating or fleeing.

In the process of executing a Difficult-level Task, Li Zhangsheng had finally found the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth, which was also the final target for this Difficult-level Task.

But unlike before, this time he did not choose to gang up on it; instead, he let Aixi fight it one-on-one, and he did not issue any commands throughout the entire process.

Aixi did not let him down. Although the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth's offensive was like a tide, when facing Aixi, who had activated the Wind Speed Characteristic, it was like an anti-aircraft gun firing at a mosquito—it didn't land a single hit, and all of them were easily dodged by Aixi.

Of course, this also had to do with the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth being too clumsy.

Like the Savage Saber-toothed Tiger, the Mammoth possessed a High-level General Species bloodline, but the two had very different combat styles. The Mammoth had strong attacks and high defense, but due to its bloated and heavy physique, its speed and agility were poor; it feared encountering Spirit Beasts that were both strong in attack and fast.

Yet Aixi was exactly that type; it could be said that its style countered the Mammoth, especially since it had also activated the Wind Speed Characteristic.

Of course, this also had to do with Aixi's strength. As the strongest Demon Pet in Li Zhangsheng's hands, although it was inferior to the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth in terms of realm, the advantages in quality, bloodline, and characteristics well compensated for the disadvantage in realm, allowing it to fully compete with an Elite-level Spirit Beast.

"It's almost over!"

Li Zhangsheng crossed his arms, feeling a bit of regret in his heart. Limited by his rank as a Monster Tamer, even though this Elite-level Demonized Mammoth was a High Quality Fairy, he had no intention of taming it.

At this moment, the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth stood on its hind legs, wanting to Trample Aixi, but it was easily dodged by Aixi.

Without hesitation, Aixi moved with agile steps, appearing behind the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth with lightning speed. Its mouth opened wide, and its sword-like fangs stabbed down, deeply piercing into the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth's fat buttocks.

Woo—

The Elite-level Demonized Mammoth was thick-skinned after all and did not lose its combat ability because of this. It immediately performed a heel kick, but unfortunately, it was dodged by Aixi a step ahead.

Before the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth could retract its kicked leg, Aixi suddenly rolled, taking the opportunity to appear beneath it, cold light flashing as it swung its sharp claws with all its might.

Splash—

As blood sprayed, several deep wounds instantly appeared on the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth's Soft abdomen, and countless blood gushed out instantly, with the beating internal organs faintly visible.

The moment it succeeded, Aixi immediately rolled to the side, not giving the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth a chance for a death-throes counterattack.

After putting more than ten meters of distance between them, Aixi did not continue to attack, coldly watching the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth.

Woo—

Like a golden mountain collapsing and a jade pillar toppling, the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth fell heavily to the ground, struggling as it tried to stand up again.

Within a few breaths, it no longer had any signs of life.

"Aixi, well done!" Li Zhangsheng gave praise at the right time.

Roar—

Aixi let out a long howl toward the sky, its voice filled with excitement; this was the first time it had independently killed an Elite-level Demonized Spirit Beast.

"So strong."

"Too amazing!"

"As expected of the captain!"

Li Zhangsheng's four teammates also offered their admiration at the right time.

"This kid is improving way too fast! Especially his Savage Saber-toothed Tiger, it actually comprehended the Wind Speed Characteristic; in terms of speed, it can be called invincible among its peers!"

Not far away, on the treetop of a large tree, Instructor Qian Yuanfei was also clicking his tongue in praise.

The fall of the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth meant that Li Zhangsheng's squad had once again completed a Difficult-level Task, and this was the fourth Difficult-level Task they had completed.

Relying on Li Zhangsheng's strength and the tacit cooperation of his teammates, in these four days, Li Zhangsheng's squad was able to complete one Difficult-level Task of clearing out Demonized Spirit Beasts every day.

"Congratulations on completing the Difficult-level Task. This task rewards 300 Academic Credits! Among them, 150 Academic Credits for Li Zhangsheng, 40 Academic Credits each for Li Jingyi, Li Runfeng, and Li Tianyu, and 30 Academic Credits for Chen Yunsheng!"

While Li Zhangsheng's squad was collecting materials from the Elite-level Demonized Mammoth, Instructor Qian Yuanfei landed on the ground silently. Almost as usual, Li Zhangsheng received half of the reward.

Regarding Li Zhangsheng's contribution, his teammates were already completely numb; they could even clearly feel Li Zhangsheng's progress, and there was a trend of it becoming increasingly larger compared to them.

Even if the four of them added together, they were afraid they wouldn't be able to beat Li Zhangsheng.

"Alright, we should head back!"

Li Zhangsheng's squad had no intention of lingering and soon returned to the inn in the small town where they were staying, which had become their temporary residence.

After finishing dinner, Li Zhangsheng couldn't help but ask: "Instructor, how are the other squads doing?"

Regarding the weekly best reward, Li Zhangsheng could be said to be determined to win it.

It was unknown how Instructor Qian Yuanfei and the other instructors communicated, but they were always able to get news about the other squads at the first opportunity.

Instructor Qian Yuanfei took out a notebook and said: "Let me see. Zhang Yi's squad completed three Ordinary-level Tasks and one Difficult-level Task, but they lost one person. Zhao Shuyi's squad completed three Ordinary-level Tasks and two Difficult-level Tasks, which is quite close to yours!"

Due to the lower difficulty coefficient, three Ordinary-level Tasks were equivalent to one Difficult-level Task, which meant that Zhao Shuyi's squad was equivalent to having completed three Difficult-level Tasks.

At this time, Chen Yunsheng asked with some worry: "Another person lost? This time, it wouldn't be a First-tier Student again, right?"

Instructor Qian Yuanfei shrugged, not denying it at all.

This was a very normal thing. Firstly, Second-tier Students had stronger strength and were more confident in dealing with crises; secondly, Second-tier Students were the key cultivation targets of the Academy, so if they encountered a crisis, the probability of the instructors intervening was higher.

No matter which world it was in, there was no absolute fairness and justice. As long as there were people, there would be seven emotions and six desires, and bias would naturally appear during execution; this was a very normal thing.

Chen Yunsheng lowered his head and sighed softly, but his expression was not ugly, because he was a member of Li Zhangsheng's squad, and by following such a powerful captain, his safety could at least be guaranteed to a certain extent.

"Instructor, next we will continue to accept Difficult-level Tasks for clearing out Demonized Spirit Beasts!"

During these four days, what Li Zhangsheng accepted were all similar tasks. Clearing out Demonized Spirit Beasts was good; he could often 'pick up' High Quality Fairies.

In just four short days, he had obtained six High Quality Fairies.

"I have some bad news for you: there are no more Difficult-level Tasks for clearing out Demonized Spirit Beasts for the time being!"

Instructor Qian Yuanfei paused, then immediately said in a joking tone: "How about you try a Hell-level Task for clearing out Demonized Spirit Beasts?"
