Chapter 109: Cooperation

Hearing my words, the Dean was stunned. He then looked at Li Hong and shouted angrily: "Li Hong, do you know what you’re doing? This is against the law! I advise you to turn back now!"

Li Hong chuckled involuntarily at the Dean’s words and said: "I don't know if you’re truly stupid or just pretending. You father and son are really idiots. Your wife is in my hands now, and you still want to leave?"

Li Hong grabbed the middle-aged woman beside him and looked at the Dean provocatively. The Dean’s face turned pale with rage: "Stop it! Whatever you want, come at me! Let my wife go!"

"Dean, don't go over there. He’s doing this specifically to capture you and your wife. Once you both fall into his hands, Liu Shuang won't be able to escape. This guy is eyeing Liu Shuang like a predator!" I said anxiously, holding the Dean back.

The Dean looked at me, gritted his teeth, and said: "I don't want to either, but what else can I do? I am a man! I cannot watch my wife fall into his hands!"

When the Dean said this, his spirit reached its peak, and his image seemed much taller. I knew he wouldn't listen to me, but I sincerely respected him. Even though he was usually strict and harsh with us, at this moment, he was a true man and a qualified husband.

"Husband, leave quickly! Call the police, don't worry about me! He wouldn't dare do anything to me!" The middle-aged woman, seeing the Dean slowly walking over, panicked and shouted.

Li Hong looked impatiently at one of his subordinates and gave him a signal. The man understood, suddenly slapped the middle-aged woman across the face, and then kicked her in the stomach. The woman let out a miserable scream, collapsed to the ground, and wailed, even vomiting stomach acid from the blow.

Seeing this, the Dean panicked and rushed over, cursing: "You bastard! Stop! Whatever you want, come at me! You’re hitting a woman—are you even human?"

I knew I couldn't stop them now, so I quickly left. Li Hong didn't send anyone to stop me because he knew that sending people to block me would likely be a waste of effort. Anyway, they had Liu Shuang’s parents as leverage; they weren't afraid that Liu Shuang wouldn't show up.

Li Hong smiled as he watched the Dean rush over. One of his men stepped forward and restrained the Dean. With the Dean held down, he glared at Li Hong: "What exactly do you want? We have no grudge against you, what do you want?"

"You indeed have no grudge against me. If you want to blame someone, blame your son for knowing things he shouldn't have!"

"Ah Shuang? What happened to Ah Shuang?"

Li Hong didn't answer this question but simply took the two of them away.

I was now on the road looking for Liu Shuang. I had seen him escape, but I had no idea where he had gone, which gave me a massive headache. If Zhuge Yue were here, things would be much easier.

Thinking of this, I suddenly remembered that Chen Feng had promised me all the help I needed. I found a phone, sent a message to the other party, and then deleted it. Not long after, I received a call.

"What’s wrong? Why are you looking for me?"

"I need to check on someone. I want to know where he is right now. Can you do that?"

"Don't worry, that’s easy. Tell me the person’s name and information, and I’ll have someone look into it for you!"

I gave the other party Liu Shuang’s information, and they told me to wait. Less than two minutes later, a figure suddenly appeared behind me and tapped my shoulder. I looked over and saw it was Feng Chen.

Feng Chen smiled and said: "Want to check on someone, right? Come with me!"

Hearing his words, I asked in surprise: "You really are from the official side?"

"Otherwise? Did you really think I was lying to you? I already told you. But looking at your situation, you must have chosen to cooperate with us. Don't worry, cooperating with us won't leave you at a disadvantage!" Feng Chen smiled.

"Alright, stop talking. Didn't you say you had news about the person I’m looking for? Take me there quickly, or we won't make it in time!" I said hurriedly.

"Good, follow me!"

I followed behind Feng Chen. Feng Chen continued: "Remember, what I tell you later is classified. Don't leak it!"

I nodded.

"From now on, I will be the one coordinating with you. The higher-ups aren't convenient to deal with you directly, as your identity is quite sensitive. So, from now on, I will be fully responsible for coordinating with you. If you need anything, come find me anytime!"

"Alright, I know. Let’s go quickly!"

My heart was very concerned about Liu Shuang’s situation. Liu Shuang probably already knew about his parents. Although he didn't get along with me, he was at least a human being. If his parents were in trouble, he couldn't possibly ignore it.

Soon, Feng Chen and I found Liu Shuang on a street. Liu Shuang looked very anxious, his hair disheveled, as if he had been through some kind of shock.

I hurriedly jumped out to block Liu Shuang’s path. When he saw me, he was startled, subconsciously took two steps back, and glared at me: "Yang Yun, you really are like a ghost! I don't have time to play with you now, I have things to do, move aside!"

"Hmph, even if you could, you probably wouldn't help. Stop being hypocritical and move aside!" Liu Shuang shouted angrily.

"Calm down! Li Hong is dying for you to go over there. Once you go, he definitely won't let you go. You know his secret; do you think he’ll let you leave so easily?" I grabbed Liu Shuang.

Liu Shuang shook off my hands and shouted: "Then what can I do? Should I just let my parents fall into Li Hong’s hands!"
