Chapter 144: Conflict at the Venue

Yu Manling smiled and said to Chen Feng, "Brother Chen, you’re joking. If anyone truly dragged Brother Yang Yun into this, it would be you, wouldn't it? You must have had him do something for you, right?"

Hearing Yu Manling’s words, I stared at her in astonishment. I didn't understand how she knew about this, nor did I know if what she was referring to was actually the Li family affair.

Chen Feng chuckled and said, "How could that be? You’re overthinking it!"

Zhang Yinuo ignored him completely and turned her head away.

The man, however, was persistent and kept walking forward, saying, "Beauty, why be so disrespectful?"

"Let me tell you, don't be ungrateful. Everyone knows Young Master Huang Heng. To be favored by Young Master Huang is a blessing you've cultivated over eight lifetimes!" one of the men in the group said.

"Young Master Huang Heng? How come I've never heard of him?" Third Brother said out of the blue from beside me.

"You don't even know Young Master Huang? That just shows how ignorant you are. Everyone knows the Huang family is one of the top families in S City. They own companies like Huang’s Jewelry. Huang Heng is a genuine jewelry-rich second generation. Do you understand?" the man who spoke earlier continued.

"Huang’s Jewelry? What kind of trash is that? And who are you?" Third Brother said, still dismissive.

"Me? If I tell you, it’ll scare you. Every major clothing factory in S City belongs to my father, and I am his eldest son, Liu Hong. Thanks to everyone’s kindness, they all call me Young Master Liu!" Liu Hong said, looking very proud.

Hearing this, Third Brother remained dismissive: "Pfft, someone who makes cheap clothes—what’s so great about that?"

"How dare you! Who are you? What does this have to do with you? Where are you from, and who is your father? Are you as awesome as us?" Liu Hong snorted.

"Me? I have no father, no parents, and no background at all!" Third Brother said with a faint smile.

"Damn it, a bastard with no parents dares to be this arrogant!" Liu Hong said, even more contemptuous after hearing Third Brother’s words.

Hearing the word "bastard," both Third Brother and I were furious, our fists clenched tight. If it weren't for the order of the venue, I would have hit him long ago. Third Brother couldn't take it anymore and rushed forward to attack Liu Hong, but I held him back.

Third Brother said to me in anger, "Fourth Brother, what are you doing? Let me go over and kill him!"

"Third Brother, don't be angry. There are people everywhere. Don't be impulsive. Besides, this is someone else’s territory; it’s not good to start a fight here," I urged him.

"Damn it, so what if it’s someone else’s territory? I’m not happy, and I’m going to beat him up!" Third Brother stared at Liu Hong.

Seeing Third Brother’s reaction, Liu Hong chuckled and said to the people around him, "Look at this guy, he actually wants to fight. It’s hilarious. He’s just a bastard with no parents. I don't even know how he managed to sneak in. Oh, by the way, I think I saw this guy being blocked at the entrance earlier. Isn't that ridiculous?"

"What? He was blocked at the entrance? That’s too funny," many people nearby laughed and discussed.

"I say, you two beauties, don't be fooled by those two guys. You’d better come with me and Young Master Huang. I guarantee you’ll be wined and dined in the future!" Liu Hong said to Chen Ling and Zhang Yinuo with a smile.

Zhang Yinuo remained cold and aloof, not replying. As for Chen Ling, she looked at Liu Hong, curled her lip, and said, "You guys? Not only are you ugly, but you’re also shallow. Compared to my Brother Yang Yun, you’re far behind!"

Huang Heng looked at me, very unconvinced, and snorted, "He’s handsome? I think you’re nearsighted, beauty. How do you see that? And is this guy as rich as I am?"

"What’s the use of money? My family has plenty. Even if Brother Yang Yun doesn't earn money, it’s enough that my family is rich!" Chen Ling said, sticking out her tongue.
