Chapter 488: Auction

Auction.

Lin Chen saw the introduction about the auction in the jade slip given by his master.

Even in the Yan Imperial Dynasty, which is dominated by super sects, auctions are still very popular. Some are supported by super sects, and some are local firms, but the most famous one is the Qianji Region.

Because of its special nature, in addition to cultivation, martial artists in the Qianji Region will manufacture many treasures based on spirit methods, such as flying boats and some formations, which are deeply loved by other martial artists.

Therefore, the trade in the Qianji Region is the most prosperous, and some auction houses have also been born for this.

The Qianji Sect in the Qianji Region has the top auction house, which is said to be open only to experts above the fifth stage of Innate, and is held once every ten years.

The auction house in Guangwu City naturally cannot be compared with the Qianji Region, but among all the islands in the East Sea, it is also a large auction house with considerable influence.

The auction house in Guangwu City is not held at a fixed time, but after collecting enough auction treasures, it sends invitations to Innate experts from other islands. Inside, there will be a list of auction treasures. If interested experts will come.

There are also many experts who have not received invitations who will take the initiative to come, and the number is not small. This is also the reason why the shopkeeper misunderstood Lin Chen's intention.

The next day, afternoon!

Lin Chen and Yin Yue, led by the waiter of the restaurant, went to the auction house in Guangwu City.

The auction house is located in the central area of Guangwu City, and there are martial artist guards at the entrance of the auction house. Lin Chen glanced at it. Those responsible for guarding are all middle-grade martial artists, and the leader is even at the first-rank stage.

However, these guards saw Lin Chen approaching, and their expressions immediately became respectful, and the leader came to the front in a few steps.

"I have seen the Lord. Is the Lord here to attend the auction?"

Lin Chen said lightly: "Yes."

"Does the Lord have an invitation?"

"No."

Hearing that Lin Chen had no invitation, the man's expression did not change at all. Every time the Guangwu City auction was held, more than half of them had no invitations.

"Lord, this is the maid arranged for you by the auction house. She will take you in."

The man beckoned to one side. In the shadow on the left side of the door, a woman in white was bowing her head. Hearing the voice, she immediately raised her head and walked over, her face charming and moving.

"Lord, please follow me."

The woman turned sideways, respectfully made a gesture of invitation, and her slightly bowed body just happened to reveal her proud fullness in front of Lin Chen.

Lin Chen nodded, but didn't say anything, and walked towards the front. The woman followed closely by his side, half a body behind.

After entering the auction house, the woman asked respectfully: "Lord, the auction house is divided into the main hall and the private room. Do you need a private room?"

"Yes."

Led by the woman, Lin Chen and Yin Yue soon stepped into the private room. The entire private room was decorated extremely luxuriously, dotted with various jewels, and fine wine and delicacies were placed on the table.

"Is the Lord attending the auction for the first time?"

Seeing Lin Chen looking at the private room, the woman in white understood in her heart that these two Lords should be attending the auction for the first time.

"Passing by Jiushan Island, I happened to catch up, so I came to join in the fun."

Hearing Lin Chen's words, the woman in white's expression was very strange, and while she was relieved, she also carried a trace of loss.

Although the woman covered it up very well, with Lin Chen's current spirit perception, the woman's emotional fluctuations were captured clearly by him.

"Tell me about some of the rules of the auction, both explicit and potential..."

Lin Chen spoke lightly. The woman in white was stunned when she heard this, and then reacted and replied respectfully: "Lord, the auction will start on time at the Xu hour. Each auction's price increase range will be notified in advance by the auctioneer. All distinguished guests in the private room can bid directly within one thousand Yan coins, and then settle after the treasure is successfully auctioned."

This rule of the auction house is a special treatment given to Innate martial artists, and martial artists below Innate can also participate in the auction, but they must pay Yan coins to the auction house in advance, or verify assets by giving Yan coins on the spot.

One thousand Yan coins is not a small amount for Innate martial artists, especially those at the first and second stages of Innate, but it is not enough to make an Innate martial artist play rogue. Moreover, it is only giving such a quota. To take away the treasure, you still have to pay.

Lin Chen's mouth also held a smile. The owner behind this auction house is also a good businessman. He gave face to Innate martial artists without any actual loss.

"If the Lord wants to auction treasures that exceed one thousand Yan coins, you can take out Yan coins directly in the private room, and there will be a deacon to confirm. If the Lord does not want to reveal his identity, you can also tell me before the auction, so that the bid will not reveal the private room where the Lord is."

"Can I also be anonymous?"

Lin Chen was a bit surprised. This Guangwu auction is quite avant-garde, and even anonymous auctions have come out.

"Some Lords do not want to expose that they bought treasures, so the owner made such arrangements."

The woman in white explained. Lin Chen smiled lightly. There must be reasons for this, but anonymous auctions also make it convenient for the auction house to arrange for themselves. As long as the price is not in place, they can buy it anonymously so as not to be picked up, or find that someone is determined to get a treasure, and then secretly raise the price.

"Besides... besides, if... if the Lord's auction reaches three thousand Yan coins... the private room... everything in the private room belongs to the Lord."

When she said the last part, the woman in white's voice was significantly reduced, a blush appeared on her charming face, and she lowered her head and dared not look at Lin Chen.

Looking at the woman's shy appearance, Lin Chen also realized why she had an expression of relief and loss when she heard that he was just here to join in the fun. ===== CHAPTER 489 =====
