Chapter 824: Ding Xiang Brings Good News!

Although Tang Ye was not much older than Jiang Rou, he had always regarded her as a junior in his heart!

Since Jiang Rou had taken the initiative to come find him, he still had to spare some energy to look after her.

To tell the truth, the conditions in Dayu County were certainly not as good as those in Hanzhou.

But, Jiang Rou was able to persevere.

This left Tang Ye quite surprised.

In order to force Jiang Rou to return to Hanzhou sooner, Tang Ye came up with the idea of forcing her to go morning jogging with him.

To Tang Ye's disappointment, this young girl complained a bit at first.

But later, she became more and more immersed in it.

Tang Ye even felt a bit of regret for his actions.

"Uncle. I think getting up early to run is quite comfortable. I've decided. Starting tomorrow, I'll go morning jogging with you every day."

"Uh. Actually, you don't have to get up this early every day."

"Hmph, do you think I can't keep it up?"

"No. Aren't you quite fond of sleeping?"

"That was before I had been exposed to morning jogging. Morning jogging is much more interesting than sleeping."

"Is that so? I've opened up a whole new world for you again."

"Mm, GOGOGO! Self-discipline leads to a better self!"

Jiang Rou suddenly increased her speed and overtook him.

Tang Ye smiled helplessly and hurriedly followed.

He had always felt that his plans were foolproof, but when facing the quirky Jiang Rou, he felt as if he couldn't quite figure her out.

After the morning jog ended, Tang Ye took Jiang Rou to have breakfast.

After Tang Ye finished showering, he headed to the County Party Committee Compound for work.

Not long after he sat down, he received an unexpected phone call.

"Brother, we haven't been in touch for a long time!" Ding Xiang's voice still carried its unique magnetism and penetrative power.

"Haha, why did you suddenly call me?" Tang Ye's mood lightened along with it.

"I won't beat around the bush with you—our television station has recently planned a program, intending to send problem children from the city to the mountains for reform, while simultaneously bringing children from the mountains to the city to experience life. The proposal is already finalized, and I wanted to communicate with you to see if we could scout a suitable recording location in your county."

Ding Xiang explained the purpose of her call with a smile.

Tang Ye reacted quickly.

The program format Ding Xiang mentioned was very similar to that program in Xiang Province called "Transformation".

In 2006, after "Transformation" aired, it sparked widespread heated discussion.

This was the best of times, and the worst of times.

The gap and conflict between the city and the countryside were exposed to the public eye because of this program.

As for other television stations, they smelled the "traffic code" and began to imitate it one after another.

Huai Province Television choosing to come to Dayu County to find material also fit the current cooperative relationship of strategic assistance between the two provinces.

The program's planning staff still had political acumen.

"Sure! Dayu County is a National-level Poverty-stricken County, and the conditions here are indeed difficult, which just happens to meet your television station's requirements for a location. I'll communicate with the County Party Secretary later; we will definitely fully support your program."

"That's great! I'll send you the proposal in a moment."

"Mm, I'll contact you again once things are confirmed later."

After hanging up the phone, Tang Ye immediately clicked on his email and soon received the new message.

He carefully read through the proposal in the email.

He printed it out and knocked on the door of Ou Xiye's office.

"Secretary Ou, I just received a proposal sent by Huai Province Television. They want to make a program in our Dayu County, and I specifically came to communicate with you about it."

Ou Xiye took the proposal from Tang Ye's hand, quickly flipped through it, and said, "This program can allow the outside world to better understand Dayu County; we must support it. I will communicate with the Propaganda Department later to mobilize all resources to cooperate with the program's recording."

"I've had to trouble you again."

"Hey, we're all on the same side, why be so polite!"

Ou Xiye secretly thought to himself that this kid Tang Ye had a treasure chest hidden in his brain.

Look at this!

He had brought yet another promotional channel that could showcase and publicize Dayu County to the outside world!

Tang Ye was in a good mood after receiving Ou Xiye's support.

He returned to his office and dialed Ding Xiang's number.

"I've communicated with the County Party Secretary, and we very much welcome you to come to Dayu County to film the program. Regarding the filming location, I have a good suggestion."

Ding Xiang said softly, "If I'm not mistaken, it should be that Cliff Village, right?"

Tang Ye was stunned for a moment: "You've heard of Cliff Village too?"

Ding Xiang said, "Although I haven't been in frequent contact with you, I've been following your updates. Cliff Village now has high popularity nationwide; if we record the program here, we can guarantee the ratings."

Tang Ye reminded her, "The name of Cliff Village is Shanyang Village. We are currently making every effort to build this village into a tourist attraction to attract outside visitors to come and sightsee. If the television station can use this as the filming location, it will also be beneficial for the subsequent planning of the tourist attraction."

Ding Xiang said happily, "Fine, then let's choose Shanyang Village! However, regarding the selection of the children, the program team still needs to go on-site to understand the situation."

Tang Ye understood that when television stations produce this kind of reality show, they need to design some contradictions and conflicts in order to increase the program's appeal.

"Have the program team contact me directly. I'll arrange for people to take them to conduct research. If you have time, you can also come to Dayu County to take a look."

Ding Xiang responded with a smile, "I also want to go to Dayu County to take a look. But I've been too busy lately. I'll communicate with the producer later and let you know once there's a result."

The program team had quite a few backup plans.

They were still in the research stage now.

This news from Ding Xiang is very critical.

There are so many poverty-stricken counties in the country; not every place can have this opportunity.

Tang Ye could not help but sigh to himself; relying on this level of fame, as long as it is utilized well, Shanyang Village could completely become a nationally renowned place.

Of course, one needs to grasp the proper measure and scale in doing so.

External resources must be made into tools to promote poverty alleviation.

However, one must avoid excessive publicity, which would cause the original intention to lose its flavor.

After hanging up the phone with Tang Ye, Ding Xiang took the initiative to find the program producer.

This program adopts a reality show format and has no Host throughout.

Previously, when Ding Xiang had chatted privately with the Producer, she had mentioned this matter by chance, and at that time, the idea of having the program team film in Dayu County had sprouted in her mind.

The current Ding Xiang has already quietly become a well-known female Host at Huai Province Television.

Although she cannot yet be called a "pillar of the station," she is already a rising star among hosts with extremely high popularity and fame, thanks to her solid professional competence, elegant temperament, and outstanding image.

"Sister Gao, I have communicated with Dayu County; they especially welcome our program team to film in their local Cliff Village." The Producer, Gao Yao, a middle-aged woman in her fifties, heard this and asked, "Is that so? Who did you contact over there?"

Ding Xiang smiled and replied, "My brother is there on a temporary exchange post; he is currently the local Executive Deputy County Magistrate, and he has already requested instructions from the County Party Secretary regarding this matter."

Gao Yao nodded slightly, "Good, then we will set our first episode in Dayu County. I have also heard the story of that Cliff Village; it can absolutely guarantee our viewership ratings."

Gao Yao actually had another consideration in mind: filming footage in other regions cannot be done without local support, otherwise, one would be unable to move a single step.

And with Ding Xiang acting as the go-between, it would undoubtedly help her save a lot of trouble.

"I will give you my brother's phone number."

"Alright, I will contact him later."
