Chapter 174: Earth of the Primary Material Plane

~7 min read 1,201 words

"Doctor Brunner?" Naimi Xisi was somewhat surprised, after all he hadn't heard the word "Doctor" in a long time.

Professor Fa Qi, who came from Dark Earth, added, "Her world's name is exactly the same as ours."

Naimi Xisi focused his gaze, and the Throne displayed the little girl's information.

Name: Subject 11.

Race: Human

Location: Magic Net Multiverse — Primary Material Plane — Unknown Crystal Barrier System — Earth.

"Indeed, it's Earth."

Naimi Xisi's eyes were calm; the present him was far from the past him, years of dragon life had made him forget most of his former affairs. He lived very well in Frelen and was very satisfied with his current body.

If someone now asked him to choose whether to abandon everything and return home, he would probably burst out laughing; having witnessed the vastness of the Multiverse and the splendid truth of the cosmos, how could he still be content with mediocrity.

"Sister Xia Nai, the thing you mentioned last time called 'Ocean', is it real? When I went back and asked Dad, he got angry and asked who told me, and told me not to think too much, that the laboratory is my home," Subject 11 asked with a pained expression, looking puzzled at Xia Nai.

Xia Nai heard Subject 11's words, a trace of concern flashed in her eyes, and she said softly, "Is the dad in the laboratory treating you well, Subject 11?"

Subject 11 smiled innocently, "Dad treats me well; although the training is harsh, privately Dad always tells me I'm his proudest child."

Fa Qi, hearing this, sighed and said, "A child so young, why must they train? How dangerous is their world really?"

La Jiate snorted coldly, "You little girl, I've already told you, come to my world, grandpa; with such a powerful Mana talent, staying there would be a waste."

Subject 11 immediately shook his head like a tambourine, "No, Subject 11 doesn't want to leave Dad."

Naimi Xisi listened quietly for a while, his face full of curiosity, then asked, "You've never stepped out of the laboratory even a single step, Subject 11?"

Subject 11 shook his head again, and slowly said, "I have no recollection of the past... Since I have memory, I've always stayed in that laboratory with Dad and the other older brothers and sisters."

"That damn laboratory of theirs, it's full of kids like her who can wield Psychic Ability," La Jiate added, then, as if recalling something, coldly said to Subject 11, "The Psychic Ability handbook I taught you last time, did you read it properly after returning? Remember, don't let anyone see it, especially your dad!"

Subject 11 obediently nodded, proudly saying, "I read it! Grandfather, and I hid it under my bed, no one can see it!"

La Jiate, like a doting yet extremely awkward old man, felt some satisfaction in his heart but couldn't bring himself to smile, merely snorted coldly and said, "That's best."

After that, everyone chatted a while longer; although Subject 11 was a child who had lived his whole life in the laboratory, through various indirect details, Naimi Xisi could roughly sketch the world she came from.

Undoubtedly, the Earth where Subject 11 resides is a modern Earth far more advanced than the 19th-century Earth where Fa Qi lives, and its precise location is in the distant United States. In that mysterious laboratory, there are more than a dozen teenagers like her.

These teenagers were no ordinary; each could skillfully master telekinetic object control, and could project powerful mental will, truly superpowered individuals. Fa Qi and Xia Nai had proposed going to Earth to take Subject 11 out of the laboratory, but she refused, having deep affection for the Doctor called "Dad".

"Then how did you obtain the Throne?" Naimi Xisi asked curiously, then, fearing she didn't understand, added, "It's the silver gem that brought you here."

Subject 11 suddenly realized, "I found it in a red world! Dad told me to tear open the wall, and inside there was something red, then I fainted, and... I don't know what happened, when I woke up I was holding this gem in my hand."

"Tear open the wall? A red world? A kind of portal? And just by talent you can use Mana to forcibly rip open a portal?!" Naimi Xisi inhaled a cold breath, now understanding why La Jiate said the little girl's Mana talent was high.

That's not just high, it's terrifying; without system training, without a professional progression, a five-year-old girl can achieve this level purely by instinct?

This is not a talent humans can possess; perhaps even those born in the Star Realm plane, naturally gifted, are no different.

One should know that Naimi Xisi's mutant race talent—the Psychic Dragon's talent—is merely the casual release of Mana to cause a shock explosion!

Such a uniquely talented child being taught by a group of ignorant Earthlings made Naimi Xisi feel a bit regretful; he couldn't help but, like La Jiate, develop a love for talent.

However, Naimi Xisi knew very well that, given this little girl's deep affection for her "Dad", she would probably resolutely refuse to leave the laboratory. And Juan Ce Long was not at all anxious at this moment; he had already made plans to patiently wait, because he deeply understood that human nature is extremely fickle.

Think about it, that five-year-old fledgling might be afraid to step out of the warm nest due to inner fear, and thus be reluctant to bravely face the unknown world outside.

But when it grows to ten, fifteen, or even twenty years old, the situation will be entirely different.

That fledgling imprisoned in a cramped nest will eventually reach a day when it can no longer endure the suffocating nest environment; its heart will yearn for a broader sky to soar freely. When that time comes, even if Naimi Xisi does not mention it, Subject 11 will surely request him to rescue her from the laboratory.

!

As the abacus rang, Naimi Xisi temporarily chose not to attend to the little girl's affairs, focusing his attention on Fa Qi.

He asked Fa Qi whether she had made any discoveries in the underground ruins they were about to excavate, and received an affirmative answer.

"Of course we have harvests!" Fa Qi exclaimed, "Ancient wise kings, legends say they could wield magic and command demon gods."

"It's a genuine Solomon's tomb!"

"Unfortunately," Fa Qi shook her head regretfully, "we didn't find Solomon's remains in the tomb, but I obtained a large number of ancient mysterious books!"

"I've spent these past months researching, and have made considerable progress; if you want, I can give you a free copy," Fa Qi said with a smile.

"Oh? Give me one, and as a trade, this Spellbook is yours," Naimi Xisi said with interest, tossing out a Spellbook that listed numerous 3–5 Circle Spell Models.

Fa Qi unceremoniously took it, then produced two brand-new books and said, "I've made a copy for you, here's the first; I'll bring a few more at the next meeting."

One titled *The Key of Solomon*,

The other titled *The True of Red*.
