Chapter 160

Hearing this, Su Yang's heart skipped a beat. This definitely wasn't anything good, otherwise Fang Jingwen wouldn't have told him in this tone.

He said, "Secretary Fang, just say it if there's something. I have good mental resilience and can handle anything."

But in his heart, he was also guessing what had happened. Could it be that something had happened in the town, or that something had gone wrong in Huatian Village?

"The news I just heard is that the city is going to parachute an Executive Vice Town Mayor into your town, and it is said that this Executive Vice Town Mayor has a strong background and is highly regarded by certain leaders for his outstanding work ability," Fang Jingwen continued.

Su Yang chuckled, "What is this? It's just parachuting in a Vice Town Mayor, right? What can that do? How does he compare to Li Tian?"

"As long as he can work well and strive for the development of Huatian Town, I welcome him with open arms. Besides, someone parachuted in might even bring some resources we don't have."

"However, this news is indeed unexpected."

In fact, he felt a little disappointed. After all, in his view, this was an opportunity—an opportunity to build his own team.

At least in direct competition with Qin Chuan, he believed he had the advantage, even though he had been "invited" out of the office by both County Magistrate Zhou and Secretary Fang with the word "get lost."

But he believed that these two would certainly not be ambiguous on personnel issues, yet he hadn't expected this result.

Fang Jingwen said very seriously, "If it were just a normal parachuted Vice Town Mayor, it wouldn't be a big deal. But this time, there is the shadow of Zhao Ruilong behind his appointment as Executive Vice Town Mayor."

"Or to tell you clearly, this person was manipulated by Zhao Ruilong behind the scenes. I heard that even the relevant procedures of the Municipal Organization Department were skipped, and he was inserted directly into your town."

"Given Zhao Ruilong's mindset, since you rejected his face last time, he will definitely find a way to make up for it through other means. So you must be careful and cautious in your future work; don't give anyone any leverage."

Only then did Su Yang understand why Fang Jingwen had specifically called him. The problem lay right here; if it was someone sent by Zhao Ruilong, it was indeed not a good thing for him.

Now Qin Chuan was already preparing to suppress him at the Town Party Committee meeting to gain absolute control.

But in his view, Qin would not have it so easy. After all, he had a few votes in his hand, and with Dai Yaxuan being able to be elected as Executive Vice Town Mayor, his chances of winning were definitely greater than Qin Chuan's.

Thus, he could let go and do what he wanted to do. Qin Chuan wouldn't even have a chance to hold him back. But now, with someone from Zhao Ruilong parachuted in, it was obvious that Qin Chuan would definitely join forces with this incoming Executive Vice Town Mayor.

And his background and ability were far superior to that straw bag Li Tian. The situation in the town was already about to gain the upper hand, and suddenly the difficulty level had been increased.

But as someone who had lived two lives, how could he fear a Vice Town Mayor parachuted from above? "Secretary Fang, you have too little confidence in me. Facing Zhao Ruilong, I could smash his lackey's head with an ashtray, let alone a Vice Town Mayor he sent down."

"

Rest assured, when the time comes, I will let him know that if you are a dragon, you must coil, and if you are a tiger, you must lie down. Once in Huatian Town, it is best to serve the common people wholeheartedly and seek a way out for the development of Huatian Town. Otherwise, I don't mind letting him walk the same path as Li Tian."

Hearing Su Yang's domineering words, Fang Jingwen felt much more at ease. After all, making an enemy of Zhao Ruilong was caused by her.

If Su Yang were to stumble because of this, she would feel uneasy.

"Fine, as long as you have this confidence. If you encounter any difficulties, tell me. He has Zhao Ruilong as his backing, but you are not without people above either."

"If they really want to do anything out of line, I will definitely make them pay a painful price."

Su Yang said, "With Secretary Fang's words, I will let go and wait for him to come."

At the end, Fang Jingwen added, "Actually, I had originally planned to nominate the female town official you recommended. I believe County Magistrate Zhou feels the same."

"If it weren't for this matter, your Vice Town Mayor would certainly have been promoted."

Su Yang was instantly unhappy when he heard this, "What do you mean 'my' Vice Town Mayor? That is a cadre of the town, a cadre of the Organization, a cadre of the Party and the people."

"I was just saying that, why are you getting so worked up? Your attitude makes me suspicious. Let me give you a preventive shot: your age group is at a stage with extremely high temptation risks."

"Whether it is money or sex, it can easily pull you off your horse. So you must strictly abide by your duties, be an upright person, and work hard."

"Otherwise, if I hear that you are involved in any improper male-female relationships or other unclear matters, I will take the lead in investigating."

Su Yang thought to himself, did I provoke you? You haven't even finished explaining the matter, and you're already putting a tight-fitting spell on me. Am I that kind of person?

Besides, it's not appropriate for a female leader to keep staring at my personal lifestyle, right? So thinking of this, he bluntly said, "Secretary Fang, I have taken everything you said to heart. But I am currently a single, older youth. Isn't it normal to date a suitable girl?"

"Does Secretary Fang even interfere with my normal dating? Stop me from getting a wife?"

"Slap!"

Before he could finish, Fang Jingwen hung up the phone directly.

Geez, what is this situation? Did I say something wrong? It was sunny just a moment ago, and suddenly it was overcast.

There is a saying that is true: a woman's face is like the weather in June, changing whenever it wants, and there is absolutely no pattern to follow.

It seems that no matter how high a leader a woman becomes, her emotions are never as stable as one imagines.

But he didn't take it to heart. After all, compared to these things, pursuing his career was his main goal.

The money for road construction had not yet been raised. Fang Jingwen had promised to help him find someone in the province. Since there shouldn't be anything going on tomorrow, he had to hurry and implement it. Thinking of this, he immediately made the call.

But as soon as the phone rang, it was hung up. He called several times in a row, and it was hung up every time.

He shook his head helplessly. You can't afford to offend female leaders! Just like that, she turned hostile for no reason...

If it weren't for the lack of money, do you think I would be willing to call you? Really!

He smoked another cigarette and wondered whether he should call Zhou Ruohan. But thinking of being hung up on by Fang Jingwen repeatedly just now, he put away that thought.

Getting a cold shoulder once is enough; don't keep hitting a wall.

A real man should dodge when he should and avoid when he should.

But fortunately, Director Liu had asked him to wait for him just now. For him, this was an excellent opportunity, and the source of the remaining few million should be right here.

After smoking two cigarettes, he received a call from a strange man, "Excuse me, are you Town Mayor Su?"
