Chapter 17: Su Yang's Next Arrangement

"If you have any thoughts of staying in the Discipline Inspection Commission, I can help you put in a word with them. I see you are also good material for working in the Discipline Inspection Commission. If you want to go elsewhere, you can contact your old leader, and he can help you resolve it."

Su Yang was very moved. He said, "Thank you, Secretary. I feel that I am currently not very suitable to continue working in the Discipline Inspection Commission. If possible, I would like to go elsewhere."

Zhou Cheng suddenly smiled, took out the phone he had already dialed from his pocket, and placed it directly on the table: "Zhengyang, you really guessed it right. This kid is truly unwilling to stay in the Discipline Inspection Commission. Then you can talk to him; I'm going out for a smoke."

Su Yang was a bit dazed; it seemed everything was within his old leader's predictions. Liu Zhengyang on the other end said: "Su Yang, I had long expected that you, kid, would not be willing to stay in the Discipline Inspection Commission."

"To achieve results while staying in the Discipline Inspection Commission, you have to offend others. You are so shrewd, you certainly wouldn't be willing. This time, not only did you save my life, but you also helped me completely root out this group of people. In the end, I still have to thank you."

"Where do you want to go? Tell me. Although I am no longer in Lancheng, it is still no problem for me to secure a position for you. Plus, you have performed meritorious service in the Discipline Inspection Commission this time, so I can even raise your rank a bit."

Su Yang was ecstatic in his heart; it really had to be his old leader. He said: "Secretary Liu, if possible, I would like to go to the townships below to train."

Liu Zhengyang said with a smile: "I really didn't misjudge you. To go far within the system, one must start from the grassroots. I have already thought it out for you: next week, you will go to Huatian Town, Jincheng County, to be the Town Mayor."

"I originally wanted to send you to a better place, but there were no vacancies elsewhere, only this place. However, I must tell you first: Jincheng County is Zhao Shanhe's base camp. Although Zhao Shanhe has already been put away, his people are still there. You might be targeted after you go, so you must be mentally prepared."

Su Yang said: "Please rest assured, Secretary Liu. I will definitely overcome all difficulties and do my job well."

Liu Zhengyang said: "Well done. I like this spirit of yours—knowing there are tigers in the mountains, yet choosing to head toward the tiger mountain. I know a little about Huatian Town; it is currently a bona fide impoverished township. As long as you can develop the economy there after you go, that will be a glorious stroke in your resume."

After he hung up the phone, Zhou Cheng walked in from outside: "It's a pity that you, kid, aren't working in the Discipline Inspection Commission. If you came to the Discipline Inspection Commission, I could arrange for you to be the Deputy Director of the Supervision Room. But since you want to go to the townships below, I can't help you with that."

Su Yang expressed his various thanks to Zhou Cheng again.

Early the next morning, he received a call telling him to go directly to the Jincheng County Committee Organization Department to report. Before leaving, he specifically called Fang Jingwen, wanting to invite her out for a meal, but he was ruthlessly rejected by Fang Jingwen. It seemed she had returned to that cold feeling from when they first met.

Fang Jingwen said: "I am very busy with work here and don't have time to eat with you. I originally hoped you could stay in the Discipline Inspection Commission so we could become colleagues and work together, but you have your own ambitions. I congratulate you in advance."

This truly is a woman's face, like the weather in June, changing as soon as it's said. However, he didn't pay much attention to it. After resting in the provincial capital for two days, he headed straight to the Lancheng Municipal Committee Organization Department on Monday morning to report, and then the Lancheng Municipal Committee Organization Department sent him to Jincheng County. ===== CHAPTER 18 =====
