Chapter 453

"Did you say a road could be built that would take only 5 kilometers to reach?" Su Yang sat up straight and asked.

Developing a scenic area already had a vague concept and plan in his heart, but he hadn't put it into practice. He actually didn't know much about many things, and he was even prepared for everything.

But if twenty or thirty kilometers could become four or five kilometers, that would be another concept.

Although the construction cost would be relatively high if tunnels were needed in between, greatly shortening the distance would be very beneficial to the development of the scenic area.

Xiang Donglai didn't expect Su Yang to consider so much, thinking Su Yang was just asking casually. He also said without much care, "Yes, there was an old cadre who went out from our Shuishui Township this year who asked someone to do a survey, saying that the vertical distance is actually at most five kilometers."

"He even thought about wanting to build this place into a scenic area, but how could it be so simple to build a scenic area? Not to mention anything else, just this road alone couldn't be built."

"Plus other facilities, how could it be less than ten million? Not to mention the township's finance, even the county's finance couldn't come up with so much money."

Su Yang thought to himself, ten million? Ten million wouldn't even be enough to build the road well. To build such a scenic area, it would at least cost over a hundred million.

And not to mention that Jincheng County's finance is currently lagging, even Chengdong District's economy couldn't afford it, and even Lancheng City coming forward couldn't handle it. Only by setting up a project directly from the province could it be barely handled.

Because developing a tourist scenic area can be a one-time investment, a business that eats dividends for generations.

"It's quite good. Having such natural resources and not developing them is simply starving while guarding a golden mountain."

"They all say rely on the mountain to eat from the mountain, rely on the water to eat from the water. Shuishui Township can't have such a treasure and actually turn a blind eye to it."

Xiang Donglai gave a wry smile, "Even if you have this heart, what can you do? Not to mention developing a tourist scenic area, even this road of ours can't be handled. It has been getting worse and worse for so many years."

"Every year, at most, they get a bulldozer to fill in the particularly large pits, and then they continue to walk. But every year, the leaders ask for no less money for road repairs."

"After they get the money, they just find dozens of villagers, take a few shovels, shovel the water on the road, and clean up the places with a lot of falling soil."

"If it really can't be justified, Cui Mingjiu will let his son drive the bulldozer from home, and after the account is pushed down, all the road repair expenses will go into his pocket."

"And I haven't even mentioned that he doesn't pay the farmers for their work, just gives them a bag of flour. This bag of flour was originally for relief to impoverished households."

"Anyway, the leaders in our township eat human food but don't do human things."

Su Yang listened to Xiang Donglai's somewhat emotional complaints, just smiled, and didn't pick up the conversation.

What is the situation in Shuishui Township? Everyone knows it now. In fact, it is clear that to change the status quo of Shuishui Township, Cui Mingjiu must be removed.

But the problem is that the time since he was removed from the position of Town Mayor of Huatian Town is too short.

He was removed in the front, but in less than a month, he was re-appointed as the Town Party Committee Secretary in Shuishui Township. If some people know this, it is inevitable that they will make a fuss.

After sending Xiang Donglai away, he originally had the need to go to the county to report his work to Fang Jingwen in person, but after thinking about it, he still reported it directly by phone.

At least, calling Fang Jingwen wouldn't give her a way to give him a hard time on the spot.

It's impossible for her to make him stand for an afternoon on the phone.

He didn't call the office landline, but called Fang Jingwen's private mobile phone directly. After the phone rang a few times, it was connected on the other side.

"Why do you have work to report to me? If it's not an urgent matter, shouldn't you come to my office? Doing it like this is a great disrespect to the leader."

As soon as Fang Jingwen's phone was connected, she said so.

From her tone, one could tell that her mood was extremely good, because at this very moment, she was playing with the bracelet on her hand.

Su Yang said, "Director Fang, actually I also want to come to the county to report to you in person, but the situation in Shuishui Township is very serious, and I cannot walk away."

"If I walk away, the entire poverty alleviation team will have to be withdrawn."

"What's going on? According to what you say, does the earth not turn without you, or what?"

"Or are those two girls who left you unable to do their work? Or is your personal charm extraordinary, that they follow you wherever you go? If so, then I have to congratulate Zhou Ruohan."

Su Yang listened to Fang Jingwen's erratic words and said patiently, "Something happened this morning..."

Immediately, he explained what happened in Shuishui Village this morning.

After hearing this, Fang Jingwen was indeed furious. Perhaps it was also because she herself was a woman. "This is too lawless. If you weren't on the scene at the time, or if your handling wasn't timely and decisive, and something really happened, how would you explain it to their parents?"

"This Cui Mingjiu is simply going too far. He has no organization and no leaders in his eyes at all."

"Then what is your idea? Are you going to question this Cui Mingjiu now?"

Su Yang said, "My preparation work here will take at least a week, so if the Discipline Inspection Commission wants to intervene, it will be almost the weekend before they can intervene in this matter. And it cannot be done with great fanfare; it must be done secretly, otherwise it will alert the enemy."

"With Cui Mingjiu's style, he will definitely counterattack frantically. In addition, I estimate that this person also has his own backing in the county or above, otherwise it would be impossible for him to have removed several Town Party Committee Secretaries and still be able to sit securely in the position of Town Mayor."

"So, if you don't act, you don't act, but once you act, you must take him down with the force of a thunderbolt."

"Regarding the suspicious villager at the scene and the two people with intellectual problems that I told you about, I have already had the police station keep an eye on them secretly. When the Discipline Inspection Commission is ready, they will also act at the same time and won't give Cui Mingjiu any chance."

After hearing these words, Fang Jingwen laughed directly. "With your personality, if such a thing happened, how could you wait so long? I estimate you would have called as soon as the incident happened."

"The reason you still want to wait is, on one hand, perhaps to give us more time for full preparation so that we can hit the target with one blow. This is also caused by the long-term influence of the village in the township."

"On the other hand, if I'm not mistaken, their weak and incompetent Town Party Committee Secretary probably can't continue to be the secretary, right? You have the idea of replacing him, but at the same time, you are worried that you were removed from the position of Town Mayor of Huatian Town not long ago, and you are afraid that if you take the position immediately, others will gossip, right?"

"You say you are a decisive person, when did you become so indecisive?"

"And I heard that you and County Mayor Zhou went to the provincial capital this weekend. Let the leader say a word, these things are justified, what are you waiting for?"
