Chapter 846

Chen Bo is so clever, he immediately heard the hidden meaning in Su Yang's words.

She said: "County Magistrate Su really came up from grassroots training; he always sees things farther than we do. From now on we should still learn more from County Magistrate Su."

"If that's the case, then I have no resentment left; I need to hurry to the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department and personally submit this matter concerning County Magistrate Li. Then I believe the relevant leaders of the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department will promptly call a meeting of the Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee."

"By the way, should we make a report to Secretary Guo and Mayor Wang?"

Su Yang said: "Oh, you saying that really reminded me. However, I think there should be no problem with the Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee; the matter with Department Head Lu has already been settled. Whether it's Secretary Guo or Mayor Wang, they will definitely give some face to the newly appointed Organization Department Head. Moreover, in the eyes of these two bigwigs, the positions of county magistrate and secretary in the counties are what they truly weigh and treat seriously."

Of course, after saying that, Su Yang still called Wang Huaizhong after hanging up. However, when he called, the phone rang for a long time with no answer.

After a short while, the phone rang back, and Su Yang enthusiastically said: "Mayor Wang, hello, I congratulate you first. I should have come to the city to personally treat you to a meal to express my congratulations, but I was afraid of disturbing you; besides, I estimate that too many people have been calling these two days to invite you to a meal and apologize, so someone like me, a lowly grunt, really can't get in line."

Wang Huaizhong laughed heartily: "You kid, still trying this act with me? Don't you know my affairs? Besides, you know what kind of person I am. Many people have called to invite me to a meal, but I've refused them all; for those I really couldn't refuse, I had them eat at the agency cafeteria."

On the contrary, kid, if you genuinely want to treat me to a meal, I won't refuse; just come. Alright, stop beating around the bush here—tell me what you need. I've had all kinds of calls these past two days, and meetings too; I might still be busy later.

Su Yang said: "Mayor Wang, the Organization Department's Department Head Lu only yesterday told our county to immediately nominate a candidate for the County Party Committee Standing Committee; this candidate is the previously vacant position of Town Party Committee Secretary of Shuanggou Town. We originally recommended two people, but after County Magistrate Zhao and his team took office, they deemed them unsuitable, so we recommended a third candidate: our County Government's Li Lingyu."

She is already a Vice County Magistrate, fully qualified to concurrently serve as Town Party Committee Secretary of Shuanggou Town; even if she holds both posts, her work focus remains with the County Government, and Shuanggou Town will still be led by its current team. However, regarding the recommendation of Vice County Magistrate Li, County Magistrate Zhao and some other comrades might have different opinions, so the final outcome will depend on the decision of the Municipal Party Committee leadership.

Having said that, Su Yang had already made his meaning clear. Of course, at this time Wang Huaizhong was already the acting mayor. Su Yang originally wanted to go congratulate him, but he indeed couldn't make it and couldn't free himself, which is why he said those words just now.

Wang Huaizhong said: "I know about this matter; I expect Department Head Lu's side will agree, so this isn't a big problem. This batch of newly assigned comrades are all from the upper-level agency units; their work style may require you to adapt a bit, especially since you previously oversaw comprehensive work, now you should position yourself correctly."

But this doesn't mean you should completely abandon your own thinking and just follow others. The things you advocate that need to be done should still be carried out; the projects you previously initiated should still be pushed forward. If you encounter any difficulties, you can also find me, or of course find Secretary Guo.

Su Yang expressed thanks: "Thank you, leader, it's the leader who cares for me. My current pressure is indeed a bit great, but for now I can still bear it. After all, the top leader hasn't arrived yet; even if we have differing opinions, it doesn't affect the overall situation. Everything will wait until after the New Year when the top leader takes office, then perhaps I'll need to trouble you."

The two then chatted a few more sentences about other matters before hanging up.

Although he felt much more at ease, just as he lit a cigarette and prepared to soar through the clouds, a knocking sound came from the door.

After Shi Haoyun entered, he said: "County Magistrate Su, County Magistrate Li says he wants to report work; do you have time?"

Su Yang said: "Then please come in quickly. From now on, when County Magistrate Li and County Magistrate Jiao have matters, just let them come directly; no need to make it so complicated."

Logically speaking, both being Vice County Magistrates, even if he is a standing committee member, if Li Lingyu wanted to see him, she could simply call him directly to arrange a time. But Li Lingyu remains very low-profile; each time she first calls Shi Haoyun, making Su Yang seem like the county magistrate.

A few minutes later, Li Lingyu knocked and entered the room; her first words upon entering were: "Thank you, County Magistrate Su. Your concern for my matter has troubled me; originally I didn't even dare to hope for it, I just thought doing my current work well would be enough. But you suddenly wanted to give me such a heavy burden—I really don't know how to thank you."

Su Yang said: "Everything is for work; letting you serve as Town Party Committee Secretary of Shuanggou Town is actually also for the development of the whole county. Shuanggou Town can be called the biggest town in our county; if Shuanggou Town's economy cannot recover, then it will be difficult for our county's economy to get back on track. Not to mention far away, just saying that the Twin Ditch Large Koji Winery is located in Shuanggou Town—this requires a comrade with very rich experience to take charge."

Regarding our previous plan to set up a dairy farm, I have a new idea. The original plan was for Guantan Gou Zhen, which already had some farmers raising cattle and some innate advantages, but now it seems Guantan Gou Zhen is not ideal.

I think the outcome of your personnel adjustment should come out soon; after you go there, conduct a study to see what scale is appropriate and where to select the site. The basic requirements remain the same as before: the place must be spacious and transportation convenient.

We want to build a dairy factory, not a small-scale one, but to plan to become the largest local enterprise; this is a zero-to-one process, and without a comrade of comparable ability it cannot be accomplished, so this heavy responsibility must fall on your shoulders.

Moreover, Department Head Lu also values you highly; this recommendation of you mainly also has Department Head Lu's factor, so you don't need to keep thanking me—if you want to thank, thank Department Head Lu's discerning eye for talent, or thank your own efforts.

While Su Yang and Li Lingyu were discussing work on this side, in Zhao Nanxing's office, two cadres also came to report work.

One of them was a female cadre with a prominent figure and beautiful appearance.
