Chapter 338

~8 min read 1,420 words

Princess Laila felt dizzy and her vision blurred; she leaned against the wall, wobbled back to her room, kicked off her shoes, and collapsed onto the bed, falling into a deep sleep without even closing the door.

Before long, the High Priest and his attendant, Reggie, appeared at the doorway.

The High Priest looked at the delicate flower in the boudoir and instructed his attendant, "You stay outside."

With that, the High Priest walked into the room, closed the door, and headed toward the Princess on the bed.

"Princess Laila, it's been a long time. I never imagined you had grown into such a beautiful young woman."

The High Priest walked to the bedside and took a deep breath; the fragrance filling the room intoxicated him, further fueling the desires within his body.

"I like untouched girls the best, especially the moment they become true women..."

The High Priest took off his glasses, pulled off his headscarf, and his rough hands lifted Princess Laila's skirt, exposing her crystal-clear little feet to his sight.

The High Priest saw the half-World Tree on the Princess's ankle, the symbol of the Order of Deliverance.

"As expected, the Princess is my follower... Well, don't worry, beautiful and lovely Princess, I will certainly help you complete the most important lesson of your life. Your good friend completed it a step ahead of you with my help; although you won't remember it later, you will surely be grateful to me forever."

The High Priest pulled his robe up to his waist, and his large hands gripped the Princess's soft, smooth ankles.

"Hmm..."

Princess Laila frowned and let out a faint, dreamlike murmur; this soft, delicate moan reached the High Priest's ears, driving his excitement to its peak.

The High Priest's body trembled, and he wore a lewd smile: "Princess, you will surely have a beautiful dream."

………

Chen Che ran upstairs, searching floor by floor, until he finally spotted the figure of the attendant, Reggie.

Chen Che narrowed his eyes and walked toward Reggie: "Hello!"

He spoke in the Ansley language.

However, Reggie merely glanced at Chen Che coldly and made no further move.

Chen Che didn't mind and quickened his pace, but then suddenly slammed on the brakes.

Something was wrong!

He had been living in the palace for a few days, and he recalled that this floor was not open to the public; it was said to be where the royals lived.

As for exactly which royal lived here, he wasn't sure, but in any case, it was highly abnormal for Reggie, the High Priest's attendant, to be here.

The attendant had left with the High Priest, so his presence here meant the High Priest was here too.

Chen Che remembered Yuri saying the High Priest had gone to rest; would the King really be so generous as to give the High Priest a room in the royal quarters?

There was another point: it was too quiet.

Chen Che hadn't seen any guards on his way up, and there wasn't a single person on this floor.

All these signs indicated that something was wrong!

Chen Che stopped and thought for a moment, then slowly stepped forward; before he could even reach him, Reggie stepped up to meet him, looking vigilant and defensive.

"Is something the matter?" the young attendant asked.

Chen Che looked Reggie up and down and said, "My name is Chen Che, and I have something I'd like to ask the High Priest."

"The High Priest is resting and is not seeing guests."

Reggie refused coldly.

Chen Che narrowed his eyes; the young attendant was dressed in an exquisite white robe with delicate gold thread embroidered along the edges, forming a sharp contrast with his Eastern-featured face.

His hair was like a black waterfall in the night, straight and glossy, meticulously tied back to reveal a smooth forehead.

His eyebrows were long and thick, like the outline of distant mountains, complementing his deep, dark eyes.

It could be said that he was very handsome and refined, yet there was something so strange about him.

Most importantly, his eyes were cold, vacant, and devoid of any emotion.

"I mean no harm; I really have something I'd like to ask the High Priest."

Chen Che said sincerely.

"I already said, the High Priest has no time and is not seeing guests."

The attendant Reggie remained cold and indifferent.

Chen Che frowned and deliberately took a step forward.

Reggie immediately stepped forward to meet him, while the aura of true energy circulated around his body.

Chen Che spread his hands and took two steps back: "Then I'll come back when the High Priest has finished resting."

Chen Che turned and left, looking back from time to time, only to find that Reggie was still standing there watching him.

Suspicious, Chen Che activated his ocular technique and glanced back.

With that one look, he was suddenly stunned.

"You bastards! How dare you?!!"

Chen Che was furious; he turned back instantly and shot toward the Princess's room.

Reggie remained expressionless, his body wreathed in true energy, standing his ground to block Chen Che.

"Get lost!"

Chen Che arrived in the blink of an eye and swung his long arm; Reggie crossed his arms to block, but was still sent flying, slamming into the wall with a thud.

"Bang!"

Chen Che shattered the door with a palm strike; the High Priest, who was just about to get to the point, turned around in shock and shouted, "Reggie!"

"Reggie your grandfather!"

Chen Che lunged forward and kicked the High Priest, sending him flying into the wall.

Chen Che went to the Princess's side, briefly checked her condition, and then took out his Ghost Gate needles, inserting them into the Princess's acupoints.

The High Priest fell from the wall and, taking advantage of Chen Che treating Princess Laila, quickly ran toward the door.

"Trying to run?!"

Chen Che flicked his wrist, and a Ghost Gate Needle pierced through the Cult Leader's knee, causing the Cult Leader to fall to the ground with a thud.

"Leiji! Leiji!"

The Cult Leader crawled toward the door, calling out for his Follower Leiji over and over again.

Chen Che appeared behind the Cult Leader and stepped onto his knee.

"Crack!"

"Ah!!!"

With his knee shattered, the Cult Leader let out a heart-wrenching scream.

"Whoosh!"

A fierce figure flashed over and slammed into Chen Che.

Chen Che stumbled and nearly fell, staggering back two steps.

Clang!

The Token fell to the ground, emitting a crisp metallic clatter.

The Cult Leader's expression of pain changed abruptly the moment he saw the Token, and he looked at Chen Che with a face full of disbelief.

Chen Che did not notice the change in the Cult Leader's expression; he stared intently at the Follower Leiji before him, lightning flickering in his palm:

"Grandmaster Great Perfection, it seems you are also a genius, but compared to me, you are still twenty thousand years behind!"

Chen Che struck first, his hand-blade wrapped in silver-white lightning slashing swiftly toward Leiji's neck.

Leiji leaned back to dodge, but before he could counterattack, Chen Che had already kicked up.

"Bang!"

Leiji was sent flying backward again, his body crashing through the wall, his entire upper body protruding outside.

The violent shaking upstairs startled everyone in the banquet hall.

Hogan frowned deeply, and after looking around and discovering that Yuri was missing, he became even more anxious and uneasy; he drew the blade at his waist and roared, "Everyone stay in your seats and do not move!"

For a moment, the banquet hall fell into silence, and everyone looked at each other in panic, not knowing what was happening.

Xie Wanning narrowed her eyes, and her figure vanished from her seat.

King Abdullah looked at Hogan in confusion and asked, "Hogan, what happened?"

Hogan did not answer; he stared fixedly at King Abdullah, the knuckles of his hand gripping the blade creaking.

He was hesitating whether to make a move.

"Boom!"

Another violent tremor came from upstairs, making even the chandelier in the hall sway precariously.

"Oh my god! Laila is up there!"

Queen Fatima exclaimed, and disregarding her dignity as Queen, she lifted her skirt and ran wildly toward the stairs with a clatter.

King Abdullah was also worried about his daughter's safety and ran toward the stairs as well.

Seeing this, the officials and ministers present all rushed toward the upstairs.

Hogan had no choice but to take his guards and follow.
