Chapter 520: Empty Classroom

~6 min read 1,096 words

At the end of the corridor, a tall figure stood there silently.

Dressed in a black priest's robe, with an expressionless face, those eyes lacking any spark like two bottomless dry wells, stared motionlessly at them.

Yan Feng Qili.

Lin's heart sank.

(That guy... really came after us...)

Lixiang widened her eyes at the Black Key on the wall, then glanced at the man in the distance, and a dry "uh" escaped her throat.

"Who… who is that? Did he just… want to kill us?"

Lin gave no answer, only tightened her grip on her hand.

"Run, banana!"

She grabbed Lixiang, turned, and fled!

The two sprinted down the corridor, rounding one corner, then another!

Lin's mind raced, desperately recalling the layout of this Teaching Building—

Empty Classroom!

Right, there's a row of Empty Classrooms ahead!

She dragged Lixiang into one, "bang" she slammed the door shut and locked it from the inside.

The lock clicked with a "clack."

Lin leaned against the door, took a few breaths, then hurried to the window and opened it to look down.

Third floor.

Not too high, but not low either.

If she jumped alone, her body, reinforced by Magic, should have no problem.

But with Lixiang…

She turned back to glance at Lixiang.

The orange‑haired girl was curled in the corner, her face pale, trembling all over.

"Tohsaka… why are we supposed to jump? This is the third floor! Jumping would break our legs!"

Lin clenched her teeth.

She was right.

With Lixiang's constitution, jumping would definitely cause injury.

If she carried her while jumping, given her weight… she could barely hold on, but after landing she certainly wouldn't be able to run.

The only way is—

"Saber, banana."

Lin looked at Lixiang, "Call Saber over, banana."

Lixiang was startled: "Call… call her over? How do I call?"

Lin's mouth twitched.

"You are the Master, so you can use a Command Spell to summon a Servant, banana!"

"Command Spell?"

Lixiang lowered her head, looking at the three red lines on the back of her hand, "This? How to use it? Just shout Saber and she'll appear?"

Lin inhaled deeply, striving to keep her tone Calm.

"It's not just shouting, banana. You must concentrate, banana—"

Before she finished, footsteps came from outside the door.

"Dong. Dong. Dong."

Very slow, very heavy.

Lin and Lixiang held their breath simultaneously.

The footsteps stopped outside.

A three‑second silence.

Then—

"Dong dong dong."

Knocking.

A very polite knock.

Lin and Lixiang exchanged a glance, neither moved.

A male voice came from outside, with a deliberately gentle tone:

"Um… Tohsaka? Fujimura? Are you inside?"

Lin was stunned.

This voice…

"I am Jiantong Shen'er."

The male voice outside continued, "When I passed by earlier, I think I saw you run in. Did something happen?"

Lin's brows furrowed.

Jiantong Shen'er?

How did that guy end up here?

Lixiang was also startled, whispering, "Jian Tong? How is he…"

Lin raised a finger to her lips, signaling her to stay silent.

There was silence outside the door for a few seconds.

Then Jiantong Shen'er's voice sounded again, his tone tinged with a hint of impatience:

"Hey, are you there or not? I clearly saw you run in just now. Open the door."

Lin remained silent.

Jiantong Shen'er knocked harder on the door:

"Tohsaka? Fujimura?"

"Bang bang bang!"

"Open the door!"

Lin's brows furrowed even tighter.

This guy… why is he suddenly so irritable.

She lowered her voice to Lixiang: "Don't make a sound, Jiao. The guy outside who's after us might still be…"

Before she could finish, a cold laugh came from outside:

"Chasing us? Ha?"

His voice came through the door panel, carrying a mocking tone:

"Tohsaka, your excuse is really clumsy, huh? Being chased at school? Do you think I'm a three‑year‑old child?"

Lin clenched her teeth.

Did that guy hear?

"Open the door."

Jiantong Shen'er's voice grew cold, and he hammered the door a few more times, "You two sneaking around in there must be up to something. Open the door for me!"

"Bang bang bang!"

The door panel trembled from his pounding.

Lixiang curled up in the corner, whispering, "Tohsaka… what should we do?"

Lin stared at the door, her mind racing.

Yan Feng is outside, and Jian Tong is also outside.

Going out means death; not opening the door… Who knows what that Jian Tong will do.

She took a deep breath and lowered her voice to ask Lixiang:

"Did you learn that thing I taught you earlier, Jiao?"

Lixiang froze for a moment, then nodded vigorously.

"I'll try."

She closed her eyes, and the Command Spell on the back of her hand warmed slightly.

Lin stared anxiously at the door panel.

Outside, Jiantong Shen'er was completely impatient.

He lifted his foot, ready to kick the door—

At that very moment!

A powerful Magic Wave erupted in the classroom!

Golden light burst from Lixiang's hand, and a figure materialized before her!

Silver‑blue armor, golden hair, emerald eyes.

Saber!

She looked around warily, finally fixing her gaze on Lin and Lixiang.

"Master?"

Saber frowned slightly, "What… is this situation?"

Lixiang, seeing Saber appear, almost burst into tears: "Waa— Saber, you finally came! Someone's trying to kill us!"

Saber's eyes instantly sharpened.

Meanwhile—

In the Burger Shop, a group of patrons watching "that super‑handsome blonde girl" all shouted in surprise.

"Where's the person?! They were just sitting here!"

"Is this a Magic trick? A big resurrection?!"

"No, she hasn't paid yet—hey, why is there a wallet on the table?"

The staff hurried over, grabbed the wallet and flipped through it, looking bewildered.

"What… what should we do…"

—

Back to the classroom.

After hearing Lin's brief explanation, Saber turned her gaze to the door.

"Yan Feng Qili is outside?"

Lin nodded.

Saber raised her sword, about to speak—

From outside, Jiantong Shen'er's voice came:

"Hey! What are you muttering in there? I heard someone talking!"

Saber's eyebrows twitched.

"Another person?"

Rin waved a hand: "Don't worry about him, he's just an annoying fellow."

Saber nodded.

"Given that, let's leave here first."

She walked to the window and looked down.

The third floor—nothing to her.

"Master, Miss Tohsaka, please come to my side."

Lixiang hurried over, and Rin quickened her pace to follow.

Saber grabbed one with a hand and leapt down!

The wind howled, and three seconds later they landed steadily on the ground.

Lixiang's legs went weak; she steadied herself by holding onto Saber.

"I… survived…"

Saber cautiously looked around: "This place isn't safe; we should first—"

"Bang!!!"

A huge crash came from upstairs!
