Chapter 800: Mysterious Fen Mao Girl

~7 min read 1,237 words

Heimu's gaze swept from head to toe, then from toe back to head.

Pink hair, yes.

Long fox ears, yes.

Knife, yes… is that right?

Apart from that, nothing else matches.

This face is far younger than Ying's, overall aura more like a student period, and the face still carries a clean, unworldly freshness.

But what halted Heimu's gaze were the lines on the other's cheek.

They were several ultra‑thin lines, extending from beneath the cheek to the jaw edge, shaped like etched traces on a circuit board, with uneven widths and right‑angled bends, no rounded corners.

Each line emitted a faint green phosphorescence.

Heimu narrowed his eyes slightly.

Invasive Lawgiver.

When those four characters popped into her mind, she herself thought it absurd.

Invasive Lawgiver is a being from the Honkai Three Worlds, possessing extremely strong Corrosion ability against Data Space.

But here it is inside her body, within System Space.

She has never imported any Invasive Lawgiver data into Le Tu.

Where did this thing come from?

A second possibility flashed in her mind.

Aha.

That Fun God certainly has the power to forge something akin to an Invasive Lawgiver and shove it into her system, watching her being chased and slashed in the corridor by an unknown Fen Mao girl.

Aha doing this isn't the first or second time.

But she didn't see any entry.

She just used the system's quick scan on the opponent's data; the panel showed the name as Ying, yet the behavior‑mode tags contained no trace of any joy entry.

This completely contradicts Aha's usual style.

The entries Aha implants are usually brazenly hung on the data panel, lest she miss them, and sometimes even add emojis and snark in the description.

Could Aha have changed style?

The other gave Heimu no time to keep thinking.

Pink blade light flared again.

The girl swung the knife with a fierce posture wholly at odds with her student aura; the blade's arc in the air was extremely short and swift, the tip flicking upward from below, aiming at Heimu's left shoulder.

The initial motion of that slash was covert, the wrist slightly pronated, the blade pressed to the side, almost invisible, only the pink blade flash suddenly bursting forth.

Heimu's body shifted right.

The tip brushed her cuff, so close that the black lace trim of the cuff was flipped by the blade wind, revealing the black fabric lining beneath at the instant it turned.

Her footwork was lightning‑fast; the high heels made almost no sound on the carpet, each step landing precisely in the gap of the blade's transition.

She stepped half a step left to evade the second slash, leaning her torso back to dodge the ensuing horizontal cut.

The blade edge swept past a point just above her nose tip, the gust lifting all her bangs, which floated in the air for over a second before settling back.

As the blade flash passed, she felt a chill brush her skin, as if someone dragged a piece of ice across a spot just above her face.

She continued to observe the opponent while dodging.

The girl's attack style indeed bore Ying's imprint: precise blade angles, fluid power control, each strike's landing point calculated, not random.

But unlike Ying, her swordplay included an extra element.

Ying's blade was pure speed and sharpness, each cut hitting the most lethal spot, clean and decisive, leaving no room.

Yet this girl's blade, besides speed, left a trailing green filament at the tip of each pink blade flash; the filament lingered in the air far longer than normal blade light, as if the cut itself were being corroded by something.

The Corrosion property is attaching to the weapon.

Heimu noted this in his mind.

Three consecutive slashes came snapping forward.

The first slash came diagonally down from the right; Heimu crouched and slipped beneath it, the blade flash grazing over her head, cutting away a fist‑length of air above the hat's tip.

The second slash rose from the left; Heimu planted one foot, spun mid‑air, her skirt unfurling a black‑purple bloom, the lace hem swinging a circular arc as she rotated.

The third slash was a straight thrust, the tip aimed at the spot where she would land.

Unable to change direction in the air, she pressed the Magic Staff downward, its dark‑purple gem striking the blade tip.

The two forces collided, exploding a halo of intertwined purple‑pink light that expanded at breakneck speed outward from the impact, like ripples from a stone dropped into water.

The impact shoved both of them back half a step.

Heimu's landing posture remained elegant.

Her knees bent slightly to absorb, the Magic Staff swung half a circle at her side to shed the remaining force, its shaft's path leaving a dark‑purple trace in the air.

Her ash‑white long hair swayed lightly with the landing, the ends brushing her waist.

The Witch Hat's brim cast a crisp shadow under the pale‑green light, covering half her face, leaving only the chin and pursed lips visible.

Heimu's mind was processing several layers of information.

In the corner of her eye lingered a live feed from Xi Lian's side; that pink light point still raced at high speed, its trajectory now even more chaotic, with not only straight lines and right‑angle turns but also several irregular arcs, as if Mei Bi Wu Si had begun improvising.

In her ears she could faintly hear the subtle rustle of snake scales from the comm channel, and occasional brief exclamations from Xi Lian, as if shouted out and instantly shredded by the next swing.

Can't delay any longer.

She must quickly deal with this unknown Fen Mao girl who appeared out of nowhere.

Heimu steadied her footing, gripping the middle of the Magic Staff with her left hand, while her right hand gave a light swipe across the dark‑purple gem at its tip.

The motion was like winding a spring on the gem; after her fingertip brushed the gem's surface, its glow surged from a pale violet to a rich deep purple, brightness increasing at least threefold, illuminating half her face.

A violet light spread from the right hand to the arm, then crawled up the shoulder onto the side of the face, reflecting a small cluster of violet glimmer deep within the purple‑black eyes.

She lifted her head, and the purple‑black eyes, through the shadow cast by the brim of her hat, looked toward the other party.

"Although I'm not quite sure who you are,"

Heimu opened his mouth, voice steady, "but you have blocked my path."

The other party gave no reply.

Those gray‑purple eyes appeared even deeper under the dim green light, the pupils reflecting Heimu's silhouette, the outline clearly discernible.

She tightened her grip on the hilt again, the knuckles beneath the glove slightly bulging, revealing the amount of force.

The next instant, she continued to draw the blade.

The Foot-long dagger slashed upward from her side, its blade's path leaving an extremely long and wide pink blade‑light in the air.

This blade‑light was completely different from before; its width was at least half a meter, its length over three meters, abandoning the previous fine, precise style, suddenly swelling, tearing to both sides, as if someone were prying it open from within.

From the fissure torn by that blade‑light, a massive pink fox burst out.

The Giant Fox was astonishingly huge!
