Chapter 835: Kesi Mo: Henshin!

~7 min read 1,260 words

Ge Lei Xiu also tilted the head, the light‑purple eyes looking at Heimu, and in that calm, natural tone asked, "Kamen Rider, what is it?"

Heimu waved a hand.

"A form that brings a belt to the face. You'll know in a moment."

Kesi Mo lowered the head, looking at the device in the hand, fingertips gliding extremely lightly and slowly over the frosted surface.

Kesi Mo didn't know what it was either.

When it was just taken out, it was a casual grab, but now the thing lay in the palm, its weight, texture, and color scheme perfectly matching Kesi Mo's own palette, unlike a random prank prop.

It seemed more like something that originally belonged to Kesi Mo, merely sealed for too long, finally jumping out when a topic needed to be shifted.

Heimu crossed arms, scrutinizing the device in Kesi Mo's hand.

He noticed the folding short handle on the side of the device; it was too obvious, that structure was meant to be inserted into a belt.

The mind had already automatically assembled the image of Kesi Mo as a Kamen Rider, thinking the Plot, though absurd, was only moderately absurd in today's experience.

Heimu lifted the chin and nudged the device.

"Perhaps you should put it on the waist?"

Kesi Mo raised the head, a hint of doubt flashing in the warm‑orange eyes.

But no question of why was asked; from earlier to now, although Heimu's words were few, each landed precisely on point.

Kesi Mo flipped the device over, looking at the folding short handle.

The short handle unfolded with a light flick of the fingertip, revealing several rows of fine metal contact points on the inner side.

Kesi Mo looked down at the waist: deep charcoal‑gray fitted long trousers, a simple black leather belt originally tied around the waist, the belt buckle made of metal.

Kesi Mo aligned the short handle with the left side of the belt and gently pushed it inward.

The moment the metal contacts touched the belt buckle, the warm‑orange gem at the device's center flared brightly.

An orange vortex of light surged inside the gem, spiraling rapidly along the gear ring, dyeing the whole gem an intensely bright warm orange.

The purple‑black pattern on the back of the device lit up simultaneously, dark‑purple energy seeping out from the grooves, flowing along the belt and spreading over Kesi Mo's entire body.

From an unknown direction above the sea came a low, metallic‑sounding electronic tone—"Henshin!"

Kesi Mo's body was instantly enveloped entirely by the purple‑black energy.

The energy expanded from the belt both upward and downward, covering the limbs; every inch from head to toe was wrapped in a dazzling dark‑purple glow.

Immediately the light began to solidify, rising from the soles upward.

The light on the feet solidified first; the original black thigh‑high boots were encased in a layer of ice‑blue metal armor, the boot shape becoming a streamlined knight's combat boot, the sole thickened by about two inches, and two sharp ice‑blue blade‑shaped guards extended from the ankle, their edges inlaid with ultra‑fine warm‑orange light threads.

The calf armor had a deep indigo base, the front covered with ice‑blue vertical stripe energy circuits, and a small warm‑orange oval gem set at each knee.

The thigh armor conformed to the leg's curve upward, with a pair of foldable ice‑blue thruster wing plates hanging on each side; when folded they pressed against the outer thigh, and when unfolded they formed a fan shape, the surface etched with ultra‑fine dense purple‑black patterns.

The solidifying speed accelerated, and the waist, based on the belt's purple‑black pattern, extended a complete knight's belt; the device on the front of the belt was already covered by an ultra‑thin ice‑blue transparent armor, upon which a rotating warm‑orange halo appeared.

The chest armor grew upward from the belt, its main body deep indigo, the center a massive inverted‑triangle ice‑blue plate, its edges inlaid with irregular geometric patterns of warm‑orange light threads, and a warm‑orange oval core gem larger than a fist set at the plate's center.

The back armor was heavier than the chest armor, each side bearing a pair of outward‑extending ice‑blue wing‑shaped thrusters; the thrusters' purple‑black patterns pulsed with breathing‑rate brightness, each flash casting a faint dark‑purple spot on the sea behind the duck.

The shoulder armor was the most flamboyant part of the whole set, soaring high from the shoulders to both sides, the tip's curve extremely sharp, overall ice‑blue; the upward‑facing side etched densely with purple‑black patterns, the downward side finished in warm‑orange matte material, and when moving the orange light threads at the tip left very short after‑images.

The arm armor extended from beneath the shoulder armor; the upper arm was covered by tight deep indigo armor, each elbow bearing a rhombus warm‑orange gem, the forearm was ice‑blue armor, its outer side from wrist to elbow embedded with three parallel purple‑black energy circuit lines.

The hand armor fit perfectly over Kesi Mo's original black‑orange mutated gauntlet, adding a layer of ice‑blue armored glove atop the claw‑shaped fingertips, the claw tips wrapped in an ultra‑thin blue transparent energy layer.

The helmet finished its formation.

Light gathered from the neck upward, forming a fully enclosed knight's helmet over Kesi Mo's head.

The helmet's main body was deep indigo, the visor part ice‑blue transparent material, etched with fine warm‑orange geometric patterns that expanded symmetrically from the nasal bridge outward, extending from the brow center to the jaw, resembling an abstract wing‑spreading design.

Each side of the helmet bore a pair of folded ice‑blue wing‑shaped antennas; when folded they pressed against the helmet sides, and when unfolded they extended diagonally backward, their edges inlaid with warm‑orange light threads.

An oval warm‑orange gem was set at the exact center of the forehead, its internal light flow rotating slowly.

The entire armor's color scheme centered on deep indigo and ice blue.

It matched perfectly the hue of the previous deep‑blue giant beast, but the form changed from beast to humanoid, retaining all of Kesi Mo's design elements; the horns' positions were replaced by the helmet's side antennas, the scarf was substituted by an ice‑blue semi‑transparent energy cape hanging from the shoulder armor, and the claw structure of the gauntlet was kept and reinforced into knight's gauntlets.

Height increased by at least a dozen centimeters, shoulder‑width to leg‑length ratio readjusted, the whole silhouette shifted from "slender youth (?)" to "tall, handsome knight".

After the armor solidified, the warm‑orange pattern on the helmet's visor flashed suddenly.

Kesi Mo looked down at the hand inside the armor, the ice‑blue armor covering the fingers, the claw tips wrapped by the energy layer whose edges faintly glowed orange.

Kesi Mo slowly rotated the wrist; the armor joints followed smoothly with the motion, the orange light threads at the shoulder‑armor tips left two shallow after‑images in the air.

Raising the hand to touch the visor, the fingertip struck the transparent material, emitting a light crisp "ding".

Only one thought remained in the mind now.

So cool!

The crowd fell silent.

Sakura's mouth corner twitched.

Ah, this…

Kesi Mo discovered that no strange feeling occurred at all.

Ge Lei Xiu can slash snakes with a Light Sword, Kesi Mo turned from a silent boy into an ice‑blue beast, then was beaten back into human form and pulled out a transformation device to become a Kamen Rider, which is normal.

Past World Paradise wasn't normal today!

Kesi Mo even began to wonder whether that foot‑long dagger should be examined for any hidden button or the like.
