At this time, the lifespan is also relatively sufficient. Calculated based on the two hundred and twenty years of remaining lifespan when forming a Jin Dan at the age of eighty, each Dan-washing interval is sixty years, but after each Dan-washing, the lifespan will increase again. This increased lifespan is uncertain, between ten and thirty years, mostly twenty years. So after five Dan-washings, the lifespan is four hundred years, and they have actually passed three hundred and eighty years, with twenty years of lifespan remaining.

But these twenty years are definitely not enough to leave a backup. What if one Dan-washing tribulation comes late? What if one finds that the actual increased lifespan is less than twenty years after a Dan-washing?

So in the Third Realm, Jin Dan cultivators must also do one thing, which is to open the Purple Palace.

It is precisely because of this reason that as long as it involves life extension and avoiding the tribulation, elixirs and precious materials will attract looting. Just imagine, an old Jin Dan, the fifth Dan-washing tribulation is coming in two years, but he only has one year of lifespan left. At this time, what can he not do?
