Chapter 253: Moon Hidden by Lead Clouds, Bird Divination by Watching the Wind
The banquet was nearing its end. Cheng Cheng Xinzhan saw that these people should still have something to say, so he took the lead to stand up and say goodbye. It was only when he returned to the balcony residence that he realized the evening smoke was already rising everywhere.
"Master, how was the banquet today?"
Cheng Zhaoli stepped forward and asked with a smile.
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan nodded with a smile,
"Not bad, all the wine drunk was fine wine."
Bai Long swallowed his saliva upon hearing this,
"Master, I want to go next time."
Before Cheng Cheng Xinzhan could answer, Cheng Zhaoli stepped on him,
"Master is socializing and drinking with friends, what are you following for? Wait until you reach Master's cultivation level before you go drinking."
Bai Long's face turned bitter, and he muttered in a low voice,
"Master started drinking when his cultivation was low."
"You!"
Cheng Zhaoli put one hand on her waist and wanted to pull Bai Long's ears with the other.
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan laughed loudly,
"I can take you to drink wine, as long as you can convince Cheng Zhaoli to agree."
After saying that, he stopped looking at the expressions of the two young attendants, sat upright on the balcony, with his five hearts facing the sky, and sat in meditation.
Today's banquet was clearly a private banquet for them. It should have been Daoist Mingding Old Daoist thinking that he was new here and they chatted quite well, so he called him over on a whim.
The names of those six Mingding Sanren were so similar, and their interactions were so natural; it was clear they were old acquaintances. However, there was one point: when the three young people spoke or toasted with the three old ones, if one looked closely, one could find that they still carried a trace of deliberately concealed respect.
Therefore, the relationship between these six people should not be the friends across generations they claimed to be; those three young people should be the juniors of the three older ones.
But for an outsider like himself, even if they were in a sect relationship, what was the need to lie?
And this sect of theirs was not simple. He couldn't see through Daoist Mingding Mingding Sanren's realm; he should be above the Third Wash. Daoist Tuo Yan and Master Huqing should have the strength of the First or Second Wash.
The most critical thing was those three young people, all of whom had formed Golden Cores at a young age.
The cultivation of young people best shows the strength of a sect. Such three young Golden Cores were enough to show that the sect behind them was not simple.
And judging from Daoist Tuo Yan Mingding Sanren's sword technique, it was not something that could be taught by an ordinary sect. And that Zhan Tao Mingding Sanren, his aura was like an abyss, bottomless. To be honest, he didn't dare to say he could win against him.
Daoist Tuo Yan Mingding Sanren mentioned that there was another person in Shu who was unparalleled in the Dao of Sword Rosy Light among the younger generation. He didn't know what kind of style that was.
There were countless capable people in the world, and heroes emerged in large numbers. He must not be impatient or arrogant.
With a slight sigh and warning in his heart, he took out the jade bell of Mount Sanqing and directly contacted Ancestor Ancestor Tongxuan, who was currently in charge of emergency affairs, reporting the westward flow of Qingzhou practitioners.
Regarding this matter, it depends on what position one puts oneself in. If one puts oneself in the position of a disciple of Mount Mount Mingyue, then this matter naturally has nothing to do with oneself. But if one puts oneself in the position of the Sect Master of Mount Sanqing and the future leader of the eastern Daoist sect, then this is a major matter of urgency.
But perhaps it was still his own shallow vision now. Maybe in the future, when he reaches a higher position, this will not be a matter.
However, Cheng Cheng Xinzhan could only take one step and look at three steps now, and he couldn't do the step of looking at three hundred steps for the time being.
After reporting this and chatting with the ancestor about family affairs for a while, the sky had completely darkened. Looking east, the spiritual light of Mount Mount Emei was increasingly dazzling in the night, as if it were a heavenly palace in the clouds.
After watching for a while, Cheng Cheng Xinzhan settled his mind and continued his practice.
He sat upright on the balcony, bathing in the moonlight, his intention returning to the Purple Palace.
Since the thunder tribulation opened the palace, his Purple Palace phenomenon was quite extraordinary. In the inner landscape world, it resided at the height of the nine heavens, with the color of hanging purple clouds, and the shape of a ten-story, twelve-sided jade palace.
This is the residence of the three souls and seven spirits. His consciousness came to the highest level, attached to the Shuangling primordial spirit. There were many golden slips and jade books piled up here, all of which were the concrete manifestations of his practice memories, so that he could review them from time to time. There were golden characters and jade traces turning into golden lotuses and jade swallows flying out of the books, circling and dancing in the Purple Palace.
In addition, he now had three Purple Palace treasures placed in the Purple Palace. The first was the "Purple Replacement Mirror," placed on top of the Purple Palace, which was a treasure of protection.
Besides this, he currently has three Purple Palace treasures placed within the Purple Palace; the first is the "Crimson Purple Life-Substitution Mirror," placed atop the Purple Palace as a protective treasure.
The third was the "Holding Brightness and Illuminating the Dark Moon Pendant," which was the moon pendant transferred to him by Bei Yin Tuo Wen Daoist Sukong. This was an ancient treasure, which was both a carrier of an ancient spell and the jade pendant itself was a Purple Palace treasure. When the jade pendant condensed, it became jade, and when it scattered, it turned into "Taiyin Soul-Slaughtering Divine Light," which was an extremely rare treasure of attack.
And the Taiyin spell recorded in this treasure was fully called the "Supreme Long Night Nine Nether Yin Mansion Jade Cabinet Bright Truth Spell." This spell was extremely obscure, using ancient moon-worshipping language with a long history. Even with Cheng Cheng Xinzhan's talent in spells, it was very difficult to study. The spell had been in his hands for two years, and he had only solved two spell characters.
Now the jade pendant was held in the hands of the Shuangling primordial spirit. At this moment, the bright moon was shining. Cheng Cheng Xinzhan, according to the treasure refining method taught by his master, pinched the magic formula, drew the Taiyin moonlight into his body, shone directly on the Purple Palace, and fell on the Bright Moon Pendant.
The moonlight was led by the Shuangling primordial spirit, condensed into a silvery talisman pattern, and printed on the Bright Moon Pendant. Thus, the jade pendant scattered into thousands of flowing silver threads, slowly floating and swaying in the Purple Palace, as if it were the Milky Way.
But such a stunning and gorgeous object was the "Taiyin Soul-Slaughtering Divine Light" that destroyed souls and spirits invisibly.
And after the jade pendant disintegrated, one after another light spots were revealed. These light spots had special shapes, like the pictographs of star officials, some like the Big Dipper ladle shape, some like the heart shape of the Heart Constellation, and some like the bird shape of the Wing Constellation.
But in fact, these star official pictographs were the strokes of the spell characters. If you want to get the complete spell characters, you must first understand the meaning of these strokes, and then restore the spell characters according to the arrangement of the constellations and the method of the strokes, which is extremely difficult.
In fact, his Bei Yin uncle also thought about solving the characters and understanding the spell after getting this object, but soon gave up. This is not to say that Chen Chen Suxing's talent was poor, but because he had been in the demon cave for a long time, his spiritual platform was covered with dirt, his heart and spirit could no longer be clear and transparent, and because he was in the demon cave, he had too many things to think about, which also made him unable to calm down and study.
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan studied the spell characters, and the time soon came to the Chou hour. At this time, a gray cloud drifted from nowhere, blocking the bright moon. Losing the illumination of the bright moon, the jade pendant in Cheng Cheng Xinzhan's Purple Palace immediately returned to its original form, thousands of flowing silver threads combined into one object, and at the same time, all the spell character strokes were covered up.
This is because Cheng Cheng Xinzhan had not fully understood all the spell characters, which meant that he had not fully refined this treasure, and currently he could only use the moonlight to solve the treasure, and had not yet been able to do whatever he wanted.
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan opened his eyes. He looked at the position of the Taiyin star, where there was a gray cloud, blocking all the crescent moon, and the gray cloud, under the illumination of the moonlight, showed a strange bright lead color.
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan frowned, because of the need to solve the Taiyin spell, so he had been drawing moonlight at night for the past two years, and he could clearly notice that the number of times the bright moon was blocked by lead clouds had been increasing recently.
And it seemed to happen at the Chou hour.
This is not a good sign.
The "Qingfu Transformation Scripture" records this moon phase, calling it: "Chou Hour Ghost Door, Moon Hidden by Lead Clouds."
The book says that this is the phenomenon of "Taiyin covered in dust, Yin evil seizing the pivot," which mainly leads to soldiers and weapons rising, and epidemics spreading. The book also says that if you encounter this celestial phenomenon, it is best not to raise corpses, otherwise the walking corpses will be washed by the epidemic Qi and easily turn into demons.
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan sighed secretly. This time, the signs of the demonic disaster were numerous and extremely fierce. I don't know what kind of killing tribulation it will evolve into. At that time, who will be the ten thousand withered bones, and who will be the successful general?
"Clang~"
In the Purple Palace, the Youjing primordial spirit struck the Awakening Bell, dissolving Cheng Cheng Xinzhan's scattered thoughts. He re-gathered his mind, and the Shuangling primordial spirit picked up another secret manual that had not been fully practiced.
"Baopuzi."
It is one of the supreme town-sect classics of Mount Sanqing, the imperial immortal classic left by the founding ancestor, Immortal Ge Hong.
It was the Sect Master Ji Hehe who used the "Enlightenment" supernatural power to reflect the immortal classic from his own Purple Palace to Cheng Cheng Xinzhan's Purple Palace before Cheng Cheng Xinzhan went out this time, and then added secret talismans to cover it. Outsiders would definitely not be able to see it, even if great cultivators used soul-searching supernatural powers and the method of seizing the body to borrow a corpse, they would not be able to find the trace of the immortal classic.
"Baopuzi" has five chapters, recording the five Daos of Golden Core, Talisman Spells, Corpse-Dissection, Strange Gates, and Divination. And what Ji Hehe passed to Cheng Cheng Xinzhan this time was only the divination technique ranked last among the five chapters, called,
"Bird Divination and Qi Watching Chapter."
Ji Hehe believed that the general trend of the world was about to change, and the flow of spiritual opportunity was becoming increasingly unpredictable. At this time, not only should one strengthen one's own practice, but one should also pay attention to the changes in the general trend of the world, and even more so, one should know how to judge good and bad luck according to the general trend of heaven and earth.
And in the final analysis, this is still the way of self-preservation, and it is still the care of a sect master for him.
This immortal classic is also obscure and difficult to understand. The opening of this divination technique says:
"Heaven has six Qi, earth has five elements. Wind is the breathing of heaven and earth; birds are the mysterious messengers of Yin and Yang. If you encounter a change in spiritual opportunity, the wind will turn into the shape of a bird of prey, and watching it can predict the good and bad luck of soldiers and disasters."
This means that when the spiritual atmosphere and mysterious opportunity between heaven and earth change, it will be reflected in the wind. The wind trace will turn into the shape of a bird. By watching the form of the wind bird, one can predict some things that have not yet happened, especially regarding the good and bad luck of soldiers and disasters.
The immortal called this technique "Bird Divination by Watching the Wind," believing that the flying, calling, rising, and falling of the wind bird, every move, all secretly fit the timing of soldiers and weapons.
The book also records many forms of wind birds and the predicted soldiers and disasters. The explanation of the formation of wind birds in it is both detailed and obscure.
And this secret manual is said to summarize the Dao of divination, but it is not just talking about divination, but also involves all aspects.
When talking about the flow of spiritual Qi of heaven and earth, the conversation often changes, and it talks about the Zhou Tian operation of the human body's small universe.
According to the book, the operation of Qi in the human body, spiritual Qi, and magical power can also be regarded as wind. The same bird shape can be seen in the wind, and from the bird shape here, one can see problems in practice.
Speaking of this, the bird shape of magical power is connected to the human body's pulse, and the conversation turns to Daoist medicine, the five internal organs and six internal organs, the Zhou Tian hundred acupoints, and the rotation of Yin and Yang.
Once the Zhou Tian hundred acupoints and the advance and retreat of Yin and Yang are mentioned, it will talk about arranging troops and formations and military strategy, which makes people dizzy and dizzy.
As the founding ancestor of Mount Sanqing and the founding master of the Wanfa Sect, Immortal Ge Hong's learning in his life included outer alchemy, inner alchemy, spirit storage, guidance, body refining, medical prescriptions, health preservation, talismans, fasting, rituals, astronomy, techniques, divination, escape armor, prophecy, military strategy, secrets, array diagrams, talisman spells, writing, establishing words, etc., etc., nothing he couldn't do, nothing he wasn't proficient in. He was praised by later generations as:
"Covering the mysteries of the nine truths, performing the subtleties of the eight scenes, the wings of the Daoist sect, none can surpass it."
The breadth and comprehensiveness of the comprehensive work written by such a person can be imagined.
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan didn't know how others felt when reading it, but in his view, interpreting it was even more confusing than the Taiyin spell.
The "Taiyin Spell" is that you can't understand the characters, and you have to piece together the spell characters according to your understanding of the Taiyin law and the constellations. And "Bird Divination by Watching the Wind" is that you recognize every character in it, but you can't understand it at all when connected.
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan had not received this immortal classic secret manual for long, and it was precisely the time when he was most racking his brains.
————
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan watched in the clouds and mist, not knowing the passage of time, until the rooster crowed in his heart, and he discovered that the east had already turned white with fish belly.
He put down the classic and began to eat Qi. Just after he finished absorbing the purple Qi, Daoist Tanbai Mingding Sanren came, and even took out a pile of books from the cave stone, saying that he wanted to help Cheng Cheng Xinzhan write the Ba-Shu Chapter and Xi Kang Chapter of the Earth Book.
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan was naturally very happy, and also told him that his Earth Book had already taken a nickname, called "Banana Leaf Collection." Daoist Tanbai Mingding Sanren nodded repeatedly upon hearing this, saying it had elegant interest.
When the two chatted, Cheng Cheng Xinzhan mentioned those three young people, and only then did he learn from Daoist Tanbai Mingding Sanren that those few people did not live on Yanhuai Mountain, but practiced in the Shu land on weekdays, but often met to come to Yanhuai Mountain to drink.
For the next period of time, Cheng Cheng Xinzhan lived extremely fully. During the day, he wrote books with Daoist Tanbai Mingding Sanren, occasionally drank a cup, and took the opportunity of writing books to openly understand the terrain and Daoist sects of Shu.
At night, he practiced the "Taiyin Spell" and "Bird Divination by Watching the Wind" alone.
After two months like this, he felt that he had made progress in the two Daoist techniques, but he also felt that the number of times Daoist Tanbai Mingding Sanren came was getting fewer and fewer, the wind and earth gazetteers he brought were getting fewer and fewer, and the time he stayed each time was getting shorter and shorter. He didn't know why.
On this day, the cool wind suddenly rose, and the autumn wind blew into the White Dragon Flag. The ice and snow white dragon on the top of the mountain was also more majestic than in summer.
Daoist Tanbai Mingding Sanren had not come for ten days. Cheng Cheng Xinzhan had doubts in his heart, so he took the initiative to go to the cave of this wine friend to find him.
He went there, but it was an empty space.
Going to the caves of Master Huqing Mingding Sanren and Daoist Mingding Mingding Sanren, there was no one at home.
Didn't they say they were hermits? How did they all run out, and they didn't return for dozens of days?
Could it be that they went to visit friends on other mountains together?
Cheng Cheng Xinzhan felt the biting autumn wind. He didn't know if it was because he had just glimpsed the door of "Bird Divination by Watching the Wind," but under the interaction of heaven and man, he actually smelled a trace of killing Qi, and he immediately felt that things were not that simple.
Well, then use bird divination to see the good and bad luck of Daoist Tanbai Mingding Sanren, measure his whereabouts and return date, and verify whether bird divination is as magical as the book says.
