Vol. 6 Ch. 64
"Are you sure she's not from your Red Flame Dragon clan?"
"Of course. She doesn't have our clan's emblem."
"She doesn't have ours either. Tsk, that's odd. Aside from your Red Flame Dragons and my Crimson Dragons, is there a third dragon tribe with a red theme?"
"Hey, sis, you're here too."
Isha turned around at the voice, and seeing familiar faces, she smiled and greeted them.
"Hey, little Lo, brother-in-law, and Senior Claudia."
Looking past the adults, she asked, "Where are the kids?"
"They've already gone to set up their stall. They're really excited about it."
Isha chuckled. "Alright then, I'll have to stop by my little darlings' ‘shop’ later."
Claudia crossed her arms, glancing at Old Kang before shifting her gaze back to Isha. After a brief pause, she spoke.
"I could have sworn I saw just one red figure earlier. How did the two of you show up all of a sudden?"
Leon also looked at Constantine. The two childish men didn't bother with warm greetings; they simply exchanged nods.
Isha blinked, thinking for a moment, then suddenly seemed to realize something. She pointed to the other side of the academy’s corridor.
"Senior, the one you saw might be over there."
"Who?"
Following Isha's direction, Claudia looked over.
Sure enough, amidst the crowd stood a slender red figure, glancing around hesitantly, looking rather flustered.
"Is she from your Crimson Dragon clan?" Claudia asked.
Isha shook her head. "Her clothing doesn't have our Crimson Dragon emblem. And she doesn't belong to the Fire-breathing Dragon clan either."
"Because dragon clans are complex, and as time passes, new color-themed tribes naturally emerge."
"For example, at first glance, the Crimson Dragon clan of Isha and the Red Flame Dragon clan of Constantine look almost identical."
"That’s why when dragons travel, they wear distinctive clan emblems on their attire to indicate their identity."
These emblems are crafted with unique magical energy, making them impossible to forge or impersonate.
"Oh? So that's how it works..."
Rosvisser found the topic interesting and turned to observe the red-clad figure.
"But from what I know, only you and Constantine lead purely red dragon clans. No third tribe should have such an unblemished red color."
Among dragon branches, many were named after colors.
This naming system was straightforward, serving both as identification and misdirection regarding their abilities.
"For example, when you hear ‘Black Dragon Clan,’ do you immediately think of them as land tanks with unmatched physical endurance?"
"But when you hear ‘Red Flame Dragon Clan,’ two things instantly come to mind:
Although the explanation wasn’t perfect, the general idea wasn’t wrong.
Naming based on color or ability was common.
However, this mysterious red figure didn't fit either category.
Constantine withdrew his gaze from the unknown figure. There was no need to dwell on it too much.
After a brief exchange, the topic shifted.
"Hefei didn’t come?" Leon asked.
"She went off to find your Muse."
Constantine paused before adding, "Something about hanging out with her classmates."
"Muse’s classmates, Muse’s classmates..."
Leon furrowed his brows and rubbed his chin. "Wait, let me guess—she’s buying food."
As they chatted, a staff member approached.
"Miss Isha, Miss Rosvisser, and Sir Constantine, the Outstanding Alumni Speech is about to begin. Please follow me."
Isha and Rosvisser nodded.
Leon, on the other hand, was stunned, looking at Constantine in disbelief.
"You’re actually an outstanding alumnus?"
"Why not?"
"How?!"
Leon rubbed his nose, muttering, "Your graduating class must have been full of wild lunatics."
Too lazy to bicker with Leon, Constantine flicked his sleeve and followed the staff member away.
"As for the incident where Constantine lost control at the academy back then, although the principal and Taran handled things behind the scenes among the dragons and cleared his name, Constantine never made a public appearance to explain it himself."
"So, they’re probably planning to use this Outstanding Alumni Speech as a way to finally settle the matter, huh? Come on, Ros, let’s go."
"Alright."
The Dragon Queen took two steps forward, following after Isha. But before they got too far, she turned back to Leon and reminded him,
"Make sure to find the girls. Don’t let them run off too far."
Leon waved her off. "Yeah, yeah, I got it."
The Melkvey sisters’ figures gradually disappeared into the crowd.
Lowering his arm, Leon turned to Claudia and smirked, "You know, more than Constantine being an outstanding alumnus, what surprises me more is that you aren’t."
"We Sea Dragons just don’t like being in the spotlight."
The blue-haired beauty folded her arms, smiling faintly. "Our clan rarely participates in public events like this. Only dragons like Rosvisser and the others, who need to maintain connections between different clans, frequently attend these gatherings."
The Sea Dragon Clan, with its deep heritage and long-standing isolationist tendencies, had no real need for social maneuvering.
Leon understood.
"You all go catch up with your old friends first. I’ll wander around a bit on my own," Claudia suggested.
"Alright."
And with that, Claudia left as well.
Suddenly, the area around him became eerily quiet.
For the first time in a while, Leon was alone.
He scratched his head and looked around, but didn’t see anyone familiar.
"Guess I should go find Noa and the others first—"
However, just as he was about to take a step, a voice called out to him from behind.
"Excuse me, h-hello…"
Leon turned around—only to find himself face-to-face with the mysterious red-haired dragon woman that Rosvisser and the others had been discussing earlier.
She was wearing an elegant yet striking red dress, with a shorter hem in the front reaching her knees and a longer back trailing to her ankles. The off-the-shoulder design exposed her smooth, fair shoulders and slender neckline.
Her waist-length crimson hair was vibrant like flames, and though her face carried the maturity of age, her beauty was undeniable. Her aura held a level of depth and sophistication that even Claudia couldn’t match.
But despite her overwhelming presence, at this moment, her expression was flustered and uneasy.
"Hello, is there something I can help you with?" Leon responded politely.
"Um… I’d like to ask…"
"Could you tell me how to get to the academic building?" the red-clad woman asked.
"Oh, just follow this road straight, and when you see a statue, turn right. Walk a little further, and you’ll find it."
"Ah, thank you! You just saved my life!"
"…Is it really that urgent?"
"And is it really that dramatic?"
…
The red-haired woman didn’t stay long. After thanking him, she quickly hurried into the crowd.
Leon stood there for a few seconds, speechless, then shrugged and moved on, not thinking much of it.
But just as he was about to take another step, the same red-haired woman suddenly came running back.
"Wait a second! Kind-hearted, tail-less gentleman!"
"…What the hell kind of nickname is that?"
Leon was dumbfounded.
The beautiful woman furrowed her brows and gave an embarrassed chuckle, awkwardly scratching her head.
"Aha… well, I didn’t know your name, so…"
"My name is Leon."
"Leon…"
The woman softly repeated his name.
"Hm? Do you know me?"
"Ah, no, no, not at all!"
She quickly denied it, then immediately introduced herself.
"My name is Cecilia. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Leon."
With that, Cecilia extended her right hand.
Leon shook it politely, though he couldn’t help but chuckle.
"You might be getting ahead of yourself, Miss Cecilia. You’re a hopeless case when it comes to directions, aren’t you?"
"…You caught on that fast, huh?" Cecilia laughed awkwardly.
"Come on! Was it that obvious?!"
Leon scoffed. "Only a directionally challenged person would have that exact mix of embarrassment, confusion, and sheer existential crisis on their face!"
