Vol 6. Chapter 150: The Heir of the Time God
In the sky, inside the Star Tower, Odin, Isha, and several other Dragon Kings were in the middle of a heated debate.
“Are we just going to wait for the Silver Dragon Queen and her husband to return before we officially counterattack?!”
“Odin, what if you’re wrong about the timing?! The Silver Dragon couple may be one of our main combat forces, but we don’t even know if they’re alive or dead right now! If we keep sitting around like this, we might as well hand the Void Realm the keys to the Sky Realm’s Great Wall! Odin, I respect you as a senior, but if you’re going to keep stubbornly waiting, then I’m going to take my people and launch a direct attack on the Void Realm right now...”
Their lands were under invasion. Two worlds were now at war. How could these battle-hardened Dragon Kings possibly hold back their rage?
Odin, however, remained seated, eyes closed, saying nothing.
A few evil dragons glanced at the old man, then looked at the most aggressive of the Dragon Kings and said:
“If you lot want to go off and die, no one’s stopping you. The door’s right there. Go now.
“You damned demons, what do you mean by that?!”
“It’s not obvious?”
This time, it was Claudia who spoke.
“The Void Realm’s army is far stronger than you think. Much stronger. The few of us who have fought them firsthand can tell you that clearly. So, attacking recklessly without Leon is a fool’s move. It will do us no good.”
Despite this, several of the Dragon Kings still refused to accept it.
“Leon, Leon — at the end of the day, he’s just a slightly stronger warrior! I don’t believe that without him, we’re not even qualified to fight the Void! Our Dragon Clan has at least hundreds of thousands of warriors!”
“Hundreds of thousands of cannon fodder, you mean.”
A deep, cold voice echoed from the corner of the meeting room.
The speaker was the Flame Dragon King, Constantine. He stood with his arms crossed, leaning against the wall, a sword resting against his side.
“If you don’t have the power to single-handedly turn the tide of battle, what use is numbers?”
Constantine’s words struck the Dragon Kings like a cold slap in the face.
Silence fell over the room.
After a moment, one of the newer Dragon Kings muttered, “But didn’t the Silver Dragon Queen herself say that Leon is just—”
Constantine’s sharp gaze snapped to the speaker, his eyes flashing dangerously.
“You’re one of the newly ascended kings, aren’t you? Kid, you may have some talent, or you wouldn’t be here at the Dragon Kings’ Summit. But that little bit of skill doesn’t qualify you to speak about Leon Casmod.”
Constantine’s eyes glowed, his voice dropping to a low, menacing tone.
“So, now — shut up.”
The young Dragon King immediately fell silent, not daring to utter another word.
On the other side of the table, Isha remained quiet, her face tense and anxious.
Normally, she would just observe without comment. But now, her face was full of worry.
Every now and then, she glanced at the Teleportation Crystal in her hand, desperately trying to locate her sister and brother-in-law.
But just like the Tower Lord, her crystal remained unresponsive.
“Ross... Brother-in-law... Where are you?...”
As Isha struggled with her anxiety, she suddenly noticed that the teacup on the table was vibrating slightly, producing a clear, rhythmic clinking sound.
She blinked, startled.
“What... what’s going on...”
The tremors grew stronger. Within seconds, the entire conference table was shaking violently.
“What’s happening?! Is the Void Realm invading here?!”
“That’s impossible. I’ve already reinforced the perimeter of Sky City with a spatial barrier. They can’t get in.”
“Then what the hell is—”
Before the speaker could finish, the Tower Lord’s Teleportation Crystal suddenly began to glow.
Her eyes lit up.
“Could it be—”
The next moment, a massive circular portal opened up in the ceiling of the meeting room.
A blast of freezing wind and snow poured in through the portal, chilling everyone to the bone.
Before the confused Dragon Kings could react, they heard a series of sharp screeches and the whistling of wind.
Then, a long spear, stained with a faint golden glow, shot through the air and impaled the conference table, piercing straight through it with a deafening clang.
Odin’s eyes flashed as he immediately shouted,
“Everyone, get back!”
At his command, the Dragon Kings leaped up from their seats and retreated several steps.
A split second later, a massive form fell through the portal, crashing down onto the conference table and splitting it in two.
The fallen figure was a six-winged white dragon.
On its back lay two people — Leon and a divine being.
The portal slowly closed behind them.
“Ross! Brother-in-law!”
Isha rushed forward, grabbing hold of Leon and Rosvisser, helping them up.
Seeing the blood-soaked couple, Isha immediately realized what must have happened.
“You... you were ambushed by the Void, weren’t you?”
The survivors were too exhausted to respond immediately. Their lips were dry and cracked, and they struggled to catch their breath.
Among them, Claudia immediately recognized one of the fallen figures.
“Father...”
After so many years, Claudia never imagined her reunion with her father would be under such circumstances... Father, you spent two months with Leon, and now you’re as insane as he is...
“Claudia...”
Poseidon saw his daughter and slowly stood up. Father and daughter walked toward each other and embraced tightly.
Odin and Constantine each pulled up chairs for Leon and Rosvisser, letting them sit down and rest.
After taking a deep breath, Leon reached out and patted the head of the massive dragon beside him.
“Thanks. If you hadn’t been with us, we wouldn’t have made it back.”
The dragon shivered, its feathers soaked with sweat. The once mighty wings now twitched weakly as if covered in ants.
“Prince, what happened in the Far North?” Principal Olette asked.
Leon forced himself to sit up straight and, in brief, disjointed sentences, recounted what had happened.
“The Dragonhawk appeared, carried us into the air, and we tried to escape the battlefield. But the Void creatures could fly too. They pursued us relentlessly. Fortunately, the Dragonhawk was fast. We managed to lose them after a while. Once we got far enough away, the Teleportation Crystal started working again.”
Olette nodded, her gaze sweeping over the survivors.
But then, she noticed two familiar faces were missing.
“Lux and Lokiah...”
“They... were both taken by the Void,” Rosvisser said, her eyes dropping. “Those creatures were incredibly strong... and there were too many of them.”
The Dragon Kings fell silent. Even the most battle-hungry among them finally understood.
They had all been aware of the Five-Spirit Crown’s power, a relic only the strongest could wield.
Yet, even those capable of wielding it had perished at the hands of the Void.
Odin muttered, “No wonder the Void Realm dared to launch a full-scale invasion of Samael.”
“If the crown was destroyed, then the Energy Cores you collected are now useless,” Morgon said.
Leon’s fists tightened, and he lowered his head, his expression full of helplessness.
The bitter taste of failure filled the air.
Isha noticed the strange look in Leon and Rosvisser’s eyes — a mixture of guilt, confusion, and a rare hint of despair.
“What is it? Ross, Brother-in-law, do you know something?”
Leon took a deep breath, holding Rosvisser’s cold hand. He lifted his gaze to Isha, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears.
“Sis... the power of Kronos, the Time ◆ Nоvеlіgһt ◆ (Only on Nоvеlіgһt) God, is about to fade. He is the last Primordial God. Once his power vanishes completely, Samael will be overrun by even more Void creatures.”
The room fell deathly silent.
“But before he fell, Kronos chose a successor,” Leon said, his voice trembling. “She will become the second Time God, taking his place on the throne of time, continuing to seal the Void Gate.”
Isha’s eyes widened. “Then we have to find this successor immediately! Who is she? Do you know her name—”
Leon’s voice quivered as he said each word with excruciating slowness:
“Aurora.”
“Aurora Melkvey.”
“She is the next... Time God.”
