Vol 6. Chapter 171: End-of-Arc Summary & Q&A (Author’s Notes)

~3 min read 487 words

This is my first time attempting a summary after finishing a story arc, and I’d also like to take the chance to answer a few questions readers have been asking.

There are two reasons I decided to write this summary:

First, because the “Shattered Crown” arc was really long—long enough to be its own standalone fantasy novella.

Second, because compared to other arcs, this one ended on a rather heavy note.

To be honest, when I first designed the characters of the Safina siblings, I had already planned out their ending. But I didn’t anticipate how popular they’d become—so much so that many readers are now reluctant to say goodbye to the Safina. Some are even afraid to keep reading because they’re worried more emotionally heavy plotlines are coming.

That’s absolutely the author’s fault, and I sincerely apologize. It really wasn’t appropriate to drop such a heavy main plot into what’s supposed to be a light-hearted family comedy.

But I promise: moving forward, there will be no more storylines like this. Starting next arc, we’re going back to “daily fluff with a dash of plot”—I guarantee you’ll be satisfied.

Here are some of the more common questions I’ve been seeing recently:

Q: Are the Safina siblings never coming back?

A: They will come back.

Q: Is the story ending soon? Are you just padding it with filler now?

A: It’s not ending.

It’s not ending.

It’s NOT ending.

I’ve answered this question countless times in comment sections and group chats.

Readers who ask might not think much of it, but those questions can unintentionally start a false sense of “the story’s ending,” which makes newer readers think it’s all wrapping up.

As for whether the story is “filler”—well, that’s subjective.

Some readers love the slice-of-life stuff, so they see main plot or battle scenes as filler.

Others just want nonstop action, and slice-of-life feels like filler to them.

I can’t satisfy both sides at once, so all I can do is try to balance daily fluff and major plotlines the best I can. I hope everyone understands.

Q: Isn’t Muse kind of a background extra? Isn’t she underdeveloped?

A: Yeah, I didn’t really figure out her growth arc when designing her. Her personality ended up overlapping a bit with Moon’s. I’ll try to give her more focus in the next arc and flesh out her storyline. Hope you’ll like her more.

Q: Isn’t the Queen kind of weak? Any plans to power her ~Nоvеl𝕚ght~ up?

A: The Queen’s not weak—it’s just that her husband is too strong, which makes her look weaker by comparison.

To put it plainly, the stats and mechanics of “Holy Spear Ros” are slightly above Odin’s. (New unit of measurement: “Old Odin”)

Still, I’ll give her some buffs in future arcs.

But remember this, brother—

No matter how strong you are,

()() will always be above you!

That’s about it for now.
