Chapter 200 : Oh No
Zervanie returned to the lounge and took a quick shower, washing away the sweat on her body. She sniffed her hair and the back of her hand—it smelled nice.
After drying off, she slipped into a sleeveless crop top, threw on a gray jacket, added a hat, and buckled on the waist chain that Felyn loved the most.
The Princess’s car was already waiting at the venue entrance. After meeting up, the two of them headed toward the banquet hall together.
Zervanie turned her head and watched as the venue with her giant promotional poster faded into the distance.
Tonight’s performance was over.
But a new stage awaited her.
She didn’t know why Princess Dorothy had invited those people. Maybe it was something political—but she didn’t care. The only reason she was going to the banquet was because Felyn would be there.
She barely got to see him as it was.
And if she didn’t take every chance to see him, she’d probably be forgotten by him little by little.
Zervanie leaned against the car window, watching the scenery blur and retreat outside.
But even if she saw Felyn tonight… what could she really do?
She couldn’t even pursue him openly.
All this effort lately felt like it was just raising her "friendship level" with him. That wasn’t what she wanted.
To become Felyn’s close friend, only to watch him marry someone else—and then get invited to the wedding to officiate the ceremony?
No way! She wouldn’t allow that to happen!
Tonight, she had to take the initiative.
Zervanie made up her mind. This was one of the rare chances she had to spend time with Felyn.
“Zervanie,” Princess Dorothy said beside her, “Do help me keep what we just talked about a secret.”
“Of course, Your Highness. My lips are sealed.”
“Well, you know how it is… with my position, I can’t exactly decide who I marry, so feelings like these probably shouldn’t even exist…”
Hearing that, Zervanie gave Dorothy a look full of sympathy.
She’s right… Her Highness couldn’t even choose her own marriage partner. That was even more pitiful than her own situation.
At least when she had confessed to her parents about wanting to marry Felyn, they hadn’t approved, but in the end, they gave in to her determination.
The Princess must be feeling really heartbroken right now…
Dorothy leaned against the window as well. A soft purple reflection shimmered on the glass.
But she wasn’t heartbroken at all.
So the Princess can’t decide her own marriage? Fine—then once she became Queen of the Zervanie Empire, she would be the one deciding whom to marry. Why should she sacrifice her future to please those royal relatives who never liked her?
Only her Felyn had never pushed her away.
Only her Felyn would love her forever.
Once I become Queen of Zervanie, Felyn, you can marry me. I’ll take good care of you, and I won’t let any other girl come near you.
Night had already fallen. The royal capital was especially congested tonight. The streets were packed with fans returning from Zervanie’s concert, clogging up the roads.
By the time Dorothy and the others arrived, the banquet had already started.
This was a private gathering. Dorothy had chosen not to host it in the palace, but instead booked a rooftop restaurant reserved for royalty and nobles of the capital.
Aside from a few familiar faces, the banquet guests also included several young ladies who frequently interacted with the Princess. Among them, Felyn was the only male attendee.
“We’re late. If we go in through the main entrance, we’ll draw too much attention. Let’s sneak in from the back instead. That way, no one will notice.”
As she spoke, Dorothy led Zervanie to the designated floor.
There was a direct teleportation seal that sent them straight to the top floor.
Buildings in the royal district were generally much taller than those in the rest of Saiwa, so the view here was particularly breathtaking.
Saiwa was an expansive, fertile plain—wide open, but difficult to defend.
Beneath the capital lay the slumbering Demon King Zervanie. His vast, overflowing purple magic drifted into the night sky, forming a gauzy veil above the royal district.
Zervanie rarely saw a scene like this.
Standing before the floor-to-ceiling window, she wished she could share it with Felyn.
“Zervanie, you were accepted into the capital’s academy too, right? That means we’ll get to see each other more often.”
Once enrolled in the capital’s academy, students would begin their religious studies.
For Zervanie, her top choice was the Church of Harmony—known for enhancing one’s voice and appearance.
Some of the divine techniques taught in that church could amplify others’ powers through singing or disorient enemies through melody. That was the kind Zervanie had pre-selected.
There were even rumors that the more affinity one had with the gods, the more divine their appearance would become. Their looks would approach perfection, their skin would remain flawless, and their youth could be preserved indefinitely.
Some whispered that with high enough affinity, one might never age or die.
Soon, they arrived at the guarded entrance. Since royals were involved, security was naturally strict.
Dorothy glanced at the tall window nearby, then adjusted her hair and outfit.
She let down her twin tails. Her soft, fluffy pink-purple curls cascaded behind her, returning her to the elegant, demure figure she always presented in public.
“I’m a little nervous…”
Dorothy gripped the hem of her dress, watching as the guards slowly opened the side door.
This was her first time appearing in public with Felyn.
She silently hoped for more interactions with him tonight.
“Viloti! Let go of him!”
“No!”
The three figures that appeared before Dorothy fulfilled her wish.
Tonight, she would get plenty of interaction with Felyn.
Not just with him—but with the girls around him as well.
Zervanie, following behind, was still wondering why the Princess had suddenly disappeared. Then she saw the scene in front of her.
Even though this was the side entrance, the decor was still extravagant. Famous paintings lined the walls, and the gazes of those in the portraits seemed to all converge on the three figures standing on the cream-colored carpet, hand in hand.
To be precise, it was Miss Viloti and Miss Adelina—each holding one of Felyn’s hands.
The two girls were pulling at him, seemingly in the middle of a heated argument.
At that moment, a wisp of purple magic shimmered in the air.
It came from Princess Dorothy.
Her magic slowly drifted toward the trio.
No… this can’t be happening…
My Felyn… being pulled between two girls?
No way!!
Standing at the eye of the storm, Felyn suddenly felt like a furnace had lit behind him.
He quickly turned around—only to see Dorothy, her eyes glowing with violet light, and Zervanie beside her, equally stunned.
Oh no.
Dorothy’s about to snap.
