Chapter 648 : An Incredibly Long Kiss
Seiwa, Dunk District, Adelina's villa.
"Felyn, Felyn, we're home."
This was the first sentence Felyn heard after falling into a coma.
He had woken up, but not completely.
He could hear Adelina's words, smell her scent, and feel her placing him on the bed, but he couldn't speak or open his eyes.
"The doctor said you're recovering faster than expected. You're really amazing. Can you hear me now?"
"Let me wipe your face first, then I'll give you a sponge bath."
"I'm going to do some rehabilitation exercises with you now. The doctor said you can't lie in bed for too long, or your muscles will atrophy."
"Does it hurt? I'm bending your leg now. If it hurts, let me know."
"Ah, I forgot you can't speak."
"These past few days, they've all been asking about you. Her Highness sends me countless messages every day. It's really annoying, right? But I can understand. They're all very worried about you, and because of what happened in the Royal Capital, they can't see you."
Adelina's voice was the only information Felyn could access.
He lay in bed, longing to hear her voice.
Just as Olivia had once longed to hear Felyn's voice on her bed.
"I'm putting you in the wheelchair now. Shall we go out and get some sun?"
"Look, the flowers you planted for me by hand during our contract are blooming so beautifully now."
"The sun is a bit strong today. Do you want some water? I'll feed you."
This is nice.
Felyn thought to himself.
He had once told Adelina that he wanted to live by a lake, fish, and drink.
He liked a peaceful daily life, and his current life was not much different from his ideal.
Adelina would take care of everything, and he could just bask in the sun without doing anything.
Thinking about it this way, it seemed he had become a freeloader again.
No, no, change that. Change it to me and Adelina taking care of things together, basking in the sun together.
That's better.
---
Felyn woke up one afternoon.
He looked at the familiar ceiling, feeling that he had finally regained control of his body.
Sunlight streamed into the room through the gap in the curtains, spreading across the floor and onto Adelina.
She was asleep beside him.
Adelina was wearing a floral nightdress, her hands clasped together under her cheek, her lips slightly parted.
She was facing the slivers of sunlight, allowing Felyn to get a clear look at the Adelina who had been taking care of him all these days.
Her cheeks had the characteristic rosy glow of a young girl, and there were even faint marks on her face left by strands of hair.
She was the number one beauty at Lanche Academy, a famous beauty in the Royal Academy and even the entire Royal Capital District.
Such a girl was lying beside him, her nose almost brushing against his face.
Felyn lifted his arm and sniffed it, finding the scent of roses still lingering.
It seemed she had just given him a bath.
The ends of Adelina's hair were not yet dry, and her eyelashes would occasionally tremble slightly, as if she were having a nightmare.
"Felyn..."
As if sensing Felyn's movement, the sleeping Adelina wrapped her arms around his neck and subconsciously patted his back, coaxing him to sleep.
Felyn pushed aside Adelina's hair and placed his palm on her face.
"Mmm?"
She slowly opened her eyes, her eyelashes fluttering.
Seeing Felyn awake, Adelina rubbed her eyes, thinking she was still dreaming.
"Felyn, it would be great if you really woke up someday."
"Then if I did wake up, what would you say to me?"
Adelina closed her eyes again, hugged Felyn, and smiled faintly. "Of course, I'd confess to you. I asked you if you were willing to be my boyfriend back then, but we were interrupted by Flos."
"I'm willing."
"Is that so? I'm relieved to hear you say that. Go to sleep, Felyn. I have to take care of you when I wake up."
Adelina smiled with satisfaction, rubbing Felyn's head, wanting to drift back to sleep.
But the next second.
She abruptly opened her grayish-blue eyes, her lips half-parted in surprise.
"FELYN!!!!"
---
The room was in chaos.
Adelina, having come to her senses, wrapped her arms around Felyn's neck, constantly rubbing her face against his cheek.
She was practically pressing down on him; Felyn could barely breathe.
"Are you uncomfortable anywhere? Can you still move your hands? Can you still move your legs?" She tried hard to suppress her inner joy, her rapid, warm breaths hitting Felyn's neck.
"No, I don't feel any discomfort. And I don't feel weak either. It's like I only slept for a day."
"The doctor said your body wasn't injured, only your spirit was harmed."
Felyn's body was very healthy. Under Adelina's rehabilitation training, his time in bed had not left any negative effects on his body.
"I was so worried you wouldn't wake up... This is great... This is great." Adelina didn't know what to say, just kept repeating "this is great."
She was genuinely worried that Felyn wouldn't wake up, but she had hidden her worries in her heart and hadn't revealed them to him.
"Adelina, thank you for this period of time. When I arrived at this villa, I could already hear your words and knew what you did for me. If it weren't for you..."
Adelina shook her head. "It's nothing, Felyn. You took care of me before, now it's my turn to take care of you."
Felyn propped himself up with both hands, getting out of bed for the first time since his coma.
He stretched his body and found that there wasn't even any soreness.
Under the care of a top-tier medical team and treatment equipment, Felyn felt he could go directly to participate in the Hero's Festival after waking up.
"Adelina, I'm sorry. Because of me, you couldn't prepare for the Hero's Festival," Felyn said guiltily, as Adelina had wanted to win the Hero's Festival.
"I don't care about the Hero's Festival anymore, nor do I care about winning or losing." Adelina carefully supported Felyn as he walked a lap around the room, then sat back on the bed with him.
"Because..." she shyly covered her burning cheeks with the blanket, "because... I've already found the person I love most. The wish I made to the god back then has already come true."
Adelina had once sought true love from a god. For this, she had always maintained her number one spot, hoping to gain the god's recognition.
And now, she had found her person.
"Are you really okay?" Adelina was still worried about Felyn's body.
"I'm fine. I feel like I just had a very, very long sleep," Felyn shook his head.
After this sentence, the two suddenly fell into silence.
The sunlight slowly left the room. It drew the curtains, closed the window, and made their world become just each other.
Felyn and Adelina looked at each other. They both wanted to speak their inner emotions, but the overwhelming excitement left them at a loss for words.
Emotions do not necessarily need words to be released.
Feelings do not need sweet nothings to be felt.
Felyn took Adelina's hand and pulled the young lady to his side.
Their hands were held tightly together, and her rose-tea colored long hair fell onto the back of Felyn's hand.
The grayish-blue eyes drew closer and closer.
"Mmm..."
Their lips met.
Felyn kissed the Adelina beside him.
His hand rested on her hair, unwilling to be separated from her for even a second.
And Adelina was the same.
This was an incredibly long kiss.
This was a kiss that had gone through countless days and nights.
