Chapter 606
"What kind of people are these!"
Shen Yu, hiding in the shadows, let his perception envelop the entire Qiu household. In his perception, this family could be summed up in one word: chaotic.
Concepts like propriety, righteousness, integrity, and shame were truly nowhere to be seen among them; from top to bottom, they all seemed utterly filthy.
Take Qiu Ziye, the second master who looked stern and imposing; having just left his elder brother's place, he didn't return to his own room, but instead seized an opportunity to head toward the inner quarters.
After checking that no one was around, Qiu Ziye carefully pushed open the door and saw a stunningly beautiful woman.
"Sister-in-law!"
"Second Uncle?" Upon seeing Qiu Ziye, the woman inside panicked and tried to shoo him away, saying, "This is no place for you, get out!"
"Sister-in-law!" Who would have thought that instead of leaving, Qiu Ziye looked at her with fanatical eyes and then seized a chance to grab her from behind.
The woman struggled desperately, but in the end, it seemed she was no match for him. A seemingly frail woman, she appeared to be no rival for him regardless of what she did.
"Sister-in-law, do you know? From the day you married my big brother, I started to like you. I can barely control myself anymore!"
"All these years, I've watched as my brother hasn't touched you once. He has abandoned you, and my heart aches for you. You need to think about yourself!"
Holding the woman in his arms and feeling her warmth, Qiu Ziye felt an indescribable satisfaction, the fanaticism and triumph on his face plain for all to see.
The woman in his arms struggled noticeably less, which meant his opportunity had arrived.
So much for being a chaste and virtuous woman; once he took matters into his own hands, she was easily conquered!
"My big brother loves young, beautiful, and inexperienced women; who in this whole family doesn't know he's fickle?"
"Sister-in-law, you've been left in an empty room for years. As your brother-in-law, I've seen it all. How about I comfort you on his behalf today?"
As he spoke, Qiu Ziye began to tentatively remove her outer garment, and she only offered a slight resistance before stopping altogether.
Sensing this, Qiu Ziye hurriedly carried her to the bed, impatient to begin what he had long wanted to do.
At first, Qiu Ziye was full of triumph. This was the person he had been obsessed with possessing, and today, he had finally done it.
After doing so much for his big brother, surely he deserved a reward; he might as well enjoy himself.
But not long after, Qiu Ziye began to discover with horror that his internal energy and vitality were draining away at an alarming speed.
He wanted to stop it, but found he couldn't, not even to slow it down. The power within him was flowing out like a torrential flood.
"This is... harvesting the yang to nourish the yin?"
He looked at the beauty before him in terror; such a seemingly flawless face now appeared to him as the most terrifying thing in the world.
A little lamb had suddenly turned into a fierce tiger, and he had delivered himself right to its door—how ridiculous.
"You, you!"
Before long, Qiu Ziye had become gaunt and withered, his eye sockets sunken. He looked at his delicate sister-in-law with fear, terrified of being sucked dry by her.
"What, surprised? You're much stupider than your brother. He guessed some things long ago, but you could never figure them out."
"Haven't you noticed why your brother avoids me every day? Tell me, aren't you a fool?"
"It's you!" As if suddenly realizing something, Qiu Ziye's face was filled with terror, and he instinctively shrank into the corner.
No wonder his brother avoided this stunning sister-in-law; it wasn't that he didn't want to or wasn't willing to touch her, but that he didn't dare. He was afraid, terrified.
"You can't kill me! I am a direct descendant of the Qiu family; if you kill me, the old man won't let you off!"
"How could I bear to kill you?" She gently stroked Qiu Ziye's now abnormally thin face; the movement was soft but chilling.
"Look, you've become so thin. You must take good care of yourself and put on some weight so you'll be delicious!"
"Don't worry, I only absorb a fixed amount of vitality each time; I understand the principle of not draining the pond to catch the fish. But you must try hard too—if you don't survive, don't blame me!"
"You useless people in the Qiu family are all so incompetent. Get out, and close the door!"
"Yes, yes!" Hearing this, Qiu Ziye felt as if he had been granted amnesty; he immediately grabbed his clothes and scrambled out, crawling and stumbling.
He was terrified. In such a short time, he, a burly man, had become so withered and thin that a gust of wind could blow him over.
He was supposed to be an expert, yet he could barely stand. He scrambled out—truly scrambling, because he couldn't walk steadily at all.
With his current physical vitality, he probably wouldn't recover for three to five years.
And this woman could target him again at any time. Now that he had become her prey, how could he possibly escape?
"What a piece of trash!" Watching Qiu Ziye's retreating back, she licked her lips, put on her clothes, pushed the door open, and walked gracefully toward the deepest part of the inner quarters.
Shen Yu's gaze followed the woman. For some reason, he felt that the aura around her was somewhat unusual.
Furthermore, he couldn't perceive anything in the depths of her mind; this woman likely held a great secret.
In a sealed secret room in the inner quarters, an old man was meditating. When the woman entered, the white-haired old man opened his eyes, a flash of wariness crossing them.
"You've come?"
"Yes, I've come!" She skillfully removed her clothes and stood before him without the slightest hesitation.
"You've changed your heart after all these years. If it were before, you would have rushed over impatiently!"
"Enough, Bai Qingnan, why must you put on an act in front of me?" Looking at the woman, a murderous intent flashed in the old man's eyes, but he quickly suppressed it.
"Did you lay a hand on Ziye? You promised me!"
"I did promise you, and I wouldn't take the initiative to attack your Qiu family's direct descendants. But he delivered himself to my door; you can't blame me for that. You Qiu family members are all the same."
As she spoke, Bai Qingnan sat in the old man's lap. "Don't worry, I'll leave them a way to survive, but it depends on whether you cooperate!"
"You!"
"What about me? How much better are you than me? I gave you that dual-cultivation technique back then, and didn't you start practicing it impatiently?"
"You've touched every woman in the Qiu family. You, the notorious flower-thief, are acting like a saint now."
Glancing at the old man with disdain, Bai Qingnan pressed her body against him impatiently.
Compared to the others, this old man was a much more delicious feast. Although his body was old, that pure, profound cultivation was exactly what she needed.
"Qiu Qianhe, do you think you have your current power because you worked hard enough? Come on, don't lie to yourself. You're just like Qiu Ziye—a useless piece of trash."
"The reason you became the ancestor of the Qiu family isn't because your talent is great, but because you've lived longer than everyone else. Plus, with me, you have your current strength. Otherwise, what do you think you are?"
"Bai Qingnan, is that all you have to say?"
"What, thinking of resisting?" Pointing a finger at the other, Bai Qingnan giggled foolishly.
"You are old and useless. I know what you are thinking—you are thinking that one day you will kill me, which is why you are desperately practicing dual cultivation to take your power to the next level."
"The world thinks you are blinded by lust, but they do not know you were forced into it. Yet you yourself should be clear: once you are tainted by some things, you cannot stop!"
"Give up; you can no longer stop, so why bother lying to yourself!"
"Sigh!" He let out a deep sigh; the woman before his eyes seemed to see through all his thoughts, making all his efforts appear exceptionally pale.
He knew that his Cultivation Method had been given to him by this woman, which actually meant that no matter how hard he tried, he would likely remain under her control. His so-called struggle was, in reality, little more than a psychological comfort to himself.
He had not expected that a moment of carelessness back then would drag his entire family into the mire; it was too late for regrets.
The Qiu Family had never known that the dark cloud hanging over them was a woman who looked harmless, desolate, and frail.
Those little lambs are sometimes the most terrifying of all.
