Chapter 824: Shan Xu

After hearing the words of the Moon Goddess, Lao Wu was stunned at first before finally thanking the goddess. The injuries of his people from protecting the weak that night had made him headache these few days. Now that compensation was going their way, there was no way for him to decline as it was something they deserved. Moreover, the fact that the Moon Goddess is willing to give them compensation is enough to show her kindness. She isn’t like Great General Taiyang and the Immortal Star Emperor, Xing Xieju who just left after causing harm to the town without care.

Shan Xu, the old town master, responded to the words of the Moon Goddess,"We give our gratitude to the kindness the Goddess had bestowed upon us!"

Yue Xuexia said,"Alright. You take a seat."Then she looked at Pei Ju and covered her eyes with a black cloth then said,"The other one undresses you underwater and enters the tub. The concoction has been made ahead of time so we can start your treatment. Don’t worry I won’t look unless you enter the tub. Just to be warned, this treatment is painful and you cannot faint until the end of treatment."

Pei Ju grit his teeth and undress as he was told. He approached the wooden tub and stared at the boiling water with floating immortal herbs in it. He only hesitated for a few seconds before climbing in. At first, he was surprised that he didn’t feel the heat of the water or any pain in his body.

Yue Xuexia said,"Gulp a few of the water. You can only stop after drinking a quarter of it."

Pei Ju did as he was told and drank some of the concoction he was in. The moment he gulps a mouthful he felt cold at his throat at first and only when he swallowed that he felt the heat in his body spreading all over. The blocked and injured meridians that he lost touch had started to feel pain. The pain increases the more he drinks the concoction. However, instead of being afraid, he was delighted. Feeling pain in his meridians meant that his dead meridians are healing allowing his qi to flow.

Only when the concoction he is in had lost a quarter of its original volume, that Moon Goddess had made a move. She controlled the golden dragon needles to float in front of her.

She glanced at the town master and said,"Since he didn’t bring any of his son and only you, help him sit up. I will start the treatment."

Shan Xu didn’t dare to go against the command of the Moon Empress and slightly lifted the sinking Pei Ju from the wooden tub. In his panic, he forgot to protect his hand with his qi and fished Pei Ju.

She immediately commanded the puppet maids to take over Shan Xu’s job in supporting Pei Ju while Shan Xu fell seated on the ground almost unable to control the lightning inside his body.

The Moon Goddess stood up and controlled her qi and stabbed a few acupoints of Shan Xu with her fingers and suppressed the lightning energy in his body.

With a frown he said,"Another patient. Send it to take a seat. I will focus on Pei Ju first."

A few puppets support Shan Xu to take a rest on the sofa. His breathing was erratic due to the sudden pain from when the lightning energy in him had almost gone out of control. But he was even more amazed that just a wisp of lightning energy the Moon goddess injected in his body was enough to suppress this tyrannical lightning energy in his body.

He mumbles,"As expected to the princess."Then he continues to watch the Moon Goddess treat his friend.

Each golden needle hits the main meridians of Pei Ju. At first, it started bleeding with black blood which made it look scary. After a few more stabs the blood which came out from that poking had finally turned red. Only then did the Moon Goddess pull out all the needles and ask the maids to pour out the water that started to smell rotten and replace it with clean water. However, the only nearby water source in the backyard is the pond full of Immortal Mountain Dew and this is what the maid used to replace the dirty water.

Yue Xuexia said to Pei Ju,"Meditate and try to absorb more of the effects from the concoction and use it to heal your newly opened meridians."She already removed the cover on her eyes when her patient entered the tub.

Even though Pei Ju cannot move or speak he obediently followed the instructions of the Moon Goddess and meditated inside the tub.

Adding another session of concoction, one after another, only when the water was replaced thrice that the effects had finally appeared on Pei Ju. His whitening hair due to his injuries had started to turn back and he even regressed to his youth. From a sickly fifty old man to a young man in his early thirties. Moreover, his slightly brown skin was peeled and a snow white skin replaced it. When Yue Xuexia and Shan Xu saw this they were stunned.

The Moon Goddess looked at her puppet maids and asked,"Where did you get the water from?"

"Answering to the mistress, we took it from the pond of the young masters and young misses. Is there a problem?"The puppet maid asked, looking confused with her head tilted innocently.

Shan Xu, worried about his friend, asked,"Princess, is there something wrong with the water?"

"Not really. But the water they’ve used is the Immortal Mountain Dew with whitening and beautifying plus anti-aging effects. Seeing how much he had absorbed, he might return to his teenage state until the effects fades."Yue Xuexia added,"An old man with a teenager face plus a soft, milk-like white skin."

Upon hearing this, Shan Xu almost choked on the tea he was sipping and couldn’t help but hide his laughter behind the tea cup.

"Don’t worry. The effects won’t be permanent. It would last for a whole year thinking how much immortal mountain dew he had absorbed,"said Yue Xuexia.

"One whole year? Pfft! Ahaha~"The old town master could no longer hold back and started laughing at this bad friend of his.
