Chapter 1024: A Thrilling Moment

~9 min read 1,727 words

Howard was so angry his face turned beet red, and even his thick beard began to tremble.

He Yuzhu couldn't help it and let out a snort of laughter, then interjected unhurriedly: "Manager Ma's mouth is truly relentless when he's in the right."

Howard immediately turned his spearhead toward him and barked sternly: "I didn't tell you to speak, why are you cutting in?"

He Yuzhu remained calm, tilted his head, and said in a flat tone that carried an undeniable force: "May I ask what you are called?"

Howard arrogantly lifted his chin and gave a cold snort: "I am the Director of the CIA East Asia Division, Howard."

He Yuzhu was still smiling, but his gaze was as sharp as a knife: "Who ordered you to kidnap our Manager Ma?"

Howard spread his hands, feigning an air of openness: "Naturally, it was by the direct order of the DCI Bureau Chief—who do you think you are? Why should I tell you? I am the one interrogating you now, not the other way around."

He Yuzhu sighed lightly and asked nonchalantly: "Bureau Chief, I'm just curious—if you really caught He Yuzhu, how do you plan to dispose of him?"

Howard slammed the table and roared: "Skin him and pull out his tendons!"

A faint, elusive smile curled the corners of He Yuzhu's mouth.

With a light flick of his wrist, the shiny handcuffs seemed to perform a magic trick; with a soft "click," they popped open automatically and landed lightly on the tabletop.

At the same time, the two burly men guarding the conference room door didn't even have time to grunt before they vanished into thin air.

To be precise, they had been quietly tucked away into He Yuzhu's space without even a splash.

Howard was dumbfounded, pointing at He Yuzhu, his tongue tied in knots: "You... you..."

He Yuzhu raised an eyebrow at him and said leisurely: "Weren't you shouting quite happily just now? Skin and tendons? Why don't you come over and try?"

Relying on the few years he had practiced Boxing, Howard gritted his teeth, twisted his neck, assumed a stance, and lunged fiercely at He Yuzhu.

He Yuzhu curled his lip: "Want to play Boxing? Then I'll play along with you."

Before the words had even faded, He Yuzhu was as fast as lightning, landing a heavy punch squarely on Howard's temple.

Howard's eyes rolled back, white foam bubbled from his mouth, and his legs kicked uncontrollably on the floor.

Ma Rui had his mouth wide open the entire time, his eyes round as saucers, staring blankly at his uncle, unable to close his mouth for a long time.

He Yuzhu waved his hand and tucked Howard directly into his space.

Ma Rui asked curiously: "Big Uncle, your ability to store people is too amazing, can you teach me?"

He Yuzhu gave him a slap and said: "Your Big Uncle's ability is innate; I can't teach it to you."

Ma Rui said: "Big Uncle, since you have this ability, why don't you rob a bank!"

He Yuzhu said helplessly: "Killing the innocent indiscriminately invites backlash; many of my abilities have been revoked before."

Ma Rui's eyes brightened as he asked: "To tell you the truth, when I was little, my mom said how amazing you were, but I didn't believe it. Now I finally do!"

He Yuzhu said: "This isn't the place to talk; we must first eliminate this Warship!"

"How can we eliminate such a big Warship!" Ma Rui said.

"Put a few more tons of Explosive into the ammunition room; what wouldn't sink!" He Yuzhu said.

"Big Uncle, if the ship is blown up, how are we going to run!" Ma Rui asked curiously.

"I can store others, so why couldn't I store you? However, the space damages a person's lifespan. The longer you stay, the worse the damage; stay for ten days and you'll become a dried corpse," He Yuzhu said, trying to scare him.

"Then I don't want to go in! I don't want to die yet! Big Uncle, I beg you! Don't make me go in," Ma Rui said, dodging backward vigorously.

He Yuzhu said helplessly: "It's fine, it's fine. I have another way. You follow me, we'll disguise ourselves as their sailors, and then we'll store everyone on the ship."

Ma Rui's eyes darted around, and he chuckled: "Big Uncle, that's great! I want to watch you clean up these bastards with my own eyes."

The reason He Yuzhu didn't hide this from Ma Rui this time was that he wanted Ma Rui to know what kind of people he had offended, and to make him more cautious in his requirements for himself and those around him in the future.

No sooner said than done.

With a thought, He Yuzhu released several sets of sailor uniforms from his space: "Hurry up and change, be quick. If it takes too long, problems will arise."

Ma Rui scrambled to put on the clothes and pressed the hat down while looking in the mirror; it actually looked the part.

He Yuzhu changed into Howard's outfit—a crisp suit, gold-rimmed glasses, and he pulled a mask from his space to touch up his makeup to match Howard's features.

He stood in front of the mirror and mimicked Howard's arrogant air, making Ma Rui laugh.

Ma Rui gave a thumbs up: "Big Uncle, I didn't expect your makeup skills to be so outstanding. They're even better than the makeup artists on our film crew."

He Yuzhu patted his shoulder and said: "Your Big Uncle has been doing makeup for decades; I count as an Expert at least. How many years have your makeup artists even studied!"

Ma Rui followed behind He Yuzhu, and the two walked out of the conference room, striding forward along the Warship's corridor.

He Yuzhu, wearing Howard's face, kept his back straight, walked with a swagger, and shouted curses in English at everyone he saw; no one dared to ask a single question.

In fact, Howard didn't belong to this Warship; they had only seen him when they lined up to welcome him at the naval port, so they weren't very familiar with him, which gave He Yuzhu plenty of room to maneuver.

Wherever He Yuzhu went, soldiers disappeared one after another—some had just finished saluting and hadn't even lowered their hands before they vanished; some were busy wiping their guns when a blur passed and they were gone; two others were smoking and chatting at a corner, and before their smoke rings had even dissipated, they were already in He Yuzhu's space.

Ma Rui followed closely, his heart thumping, his palms sweating with excitement, yet he had to pretend to be calm on the surface, which was incredibly uncomfortable.

The journey went smoothly, and they didn't run into any major trouble.

The two stepped into the dining hall one after the other, and the moment He Yuzhu pushed open the iron door, his pupils shrank slightly—

As luck would have it, the dozen or so people who had kidnapped them were sitting scattered around the dining hall eating.

When they looked up and saw "Howard" walk in, several of them stood up subconsciously, but then their expressions changed.

These people were acquaintances of Howard and were very familiar with his physique and gait.

This "Howard" before them seemed off in some way.

Especially the black burly man who looked like O'Neal; though he looked dull, he wasn't stupid. He was naturally sensitive to human movement habits and muscle exertion patterns, and he could tell at a glance if it was someone he had seen before.

He squinted and stared at He Yuzhu for two seconds, his alarm growing the more he looked. His gaze swept to the side and landed on Ma Rui; the boy's build and walking habits were exactly the same as the person who had been kidnapped earlier.

A "buzz" went off in Dawei's head, his face changed abruptly, and he roared at the top of his lungs: "Something's wrong! They aren't Howard! They're the two who were kidnapped!"

Before the words had even faded, the dozen or so other people in the dining hall were all battle-hardened veterans; upon hearing this, they didn't need any extra reaction time, and their hands reached for their waists in unison.

He Yuzhu didn't give them a chance to draw their guns; he flicked his wrists, and two guns appeared in his palms as if by magic, and he fired as he raised them—"Bang, bang, bang!"

The bullets whistled out, and the three men in the front hadn't even managed to pull out their guns before blood flowers bloomed on their chests.

Ma Rui rolled downward by reflex, sliding directly under a nearby table.

He Yuzhu pressed forward, firing with both hands, the bullets shattering the cups, plates, bowls, and dishes on the table into a clatter, with shards flying everywhere.

But that black man really had some skills; he dodged two bullets by leaning to the side, then took the opportunity to draw his Pistol from his waist with a clean and swift motion, raising his hand to aim—Bang!

The bullet grazed past He Yuzhu's shoulder.

He Yuzhu didn't even frown, turning the muzzle and firing a shot almost by instinct—Bang!

This shot hit him squarely in the heart, and the black man's sturdy body jerked backward, crashing to the floor like a small mountain, making the floorboards tremble.

He Yuzhu did not stop his feet, closing the distance to within twenty meters in a few long strides, then flicked his wrist, and an invisible force blanketed the area—the remaining few people didn't even have time to pull their triggers before they vanished into thin air, leaving not even a shadow behind.

The dining room fell silent in an instant, and Ma Rui poked half his head out from under the table, looking left and right to confirm that not a single enemy remained before coming out and sidling up to He Yuzhu, "Uncle, is this the most dangerous situation you've ever encountered?"

He Yuzhu tossed the two guns into his space and stretched his shoulder where the bullet had grazed him, shaking his head indifferently: "That's not it. I've been injured before, and there have been plenty of times far more dangerous than this."
