Chapter 134: He Yuzhu Toys with the Thugs

~8 min read 1,537 words

Seeing that Liu Rusi remained unwilling to open the door, Tie Lin felt a surge of anger and began to pound on the heavy wooden door like a madman.

His fists struck the door panels with a dull thud, causing the door knocker to clatter, but that vermilion-lacquered door remained unmoved.

"Miss Liu!" Tie Lin shouted at the top of his lungs, the veins on his forehead bulging, "I know you have powerful backing, but I am just a brother following orders! If you don't open the door, don't blame me for being heartless!"

The observation hole on the door opened, and Pingping's stern face appeared behind it.

She pushed the American-made Submachine Gun in her hand forward, the muzzle pointing directly at the center of Tie Lin's brow: "Get lost! If you don't leave now, I'll blow your brains out!"

Tie Lin was forced back half a step by the muzzle, yet he still braced himself: "If you don't cooperate, the person coming tomorrow won't be as easy to talk to as I am."

Just then, two military trucks sped in from both ends of the street and screeched to a halt in front of the door, their bumpers less than two meters from Tie Lin. Tie Lin was so startled he stumbled back several steps, nearly falling to the ground.

The tailgates of the trucks dropped with a bang, and over twenty fully armed soldiers jumped out in succession, instantly surrounding the men from the Secret Service Bureau.

The leader was a major around thirty years old; he strode forward, his face almost touching Tie Lin's: "You have three minutes to get lost with your men."

Sweat broke out on Tie Lin's forehead, and his tone softened: "Brother, we're all just doing our jobs for the state..."

"Disarm them!" the officer commanded, and the soldiers immediately stepped forward.

A few of the secret agents tried to resist, but they were swiftly and cleanly knocked to the ground and tied up tightly with hemp rope.

"I'm leaving! I'm leaving right now!" Tie Lin pleaded repeatedly, "Brother, please show mercy!"

The officer, knowing when to stop, signaled for the soldiers to untie the men who had been bound.

"Get out of here! If you cause trouble again, I'll open fire!"

Tie Lin, looking dejected, led his men away and disappeared around the street corner in a sorry state.

Liu Rusi invited the officer into the living room and personally poured him a cup of hot tea.

"Thank you for your hard work, Battalion Commander Liu."

"You are too kind, Miss Liu." Battalion Commander Liu took the teacup and downed it in one gulp. "There is something I must tell you. My superiors are transferring me back to Nanjing, and I'm afraid I can no longer continue the guard mission for the He Family."

Liu Rusi nodded gently: "No matter. The power struggle above will soon be decided. Just drag it out if you can. In the end, they might not necessarily transfer you back."

"Understood." Battalion Commander Liu stood up to take his leave, his military boots clicking crisply against the tiled floor.

Meanwhile, the Hangzhou train station, a thousand miles away, was shrouded in a fine, misty rain.

The platform was packed with hurried travelers, and the whistle of the steam locomotive echoed through the damp air.

He Yuzhu and his group finally managed to squeeze onto the train, and just as they sat down in the hard-seat carriage, they saw several burly men walking toward them aggressively.

"Big Brother! This is Carriage 6, seats 30 to 37, these are our seats!" a small man shouted.

"Hey! So you're the ones who stole my tickets! Get out of here! Otherwise, don't blame me for being impolite!" The leader, a large man, pointed at the noses of He Yuzhu and the others and cursed.

Jia Xiuhua looked at the fierce-looking group and felt a bit scared; she quickly lowered her head.

Zhao Ying, however, looked at He Yuzhu with a smirk, as if mocking him for not handling things properly and getting everyone into an awkward situation.

He Yuzhu, thick-skinned as ever, pulled the tickets from his pocket, slapped them onto the small table, and said coldly: "Call out to them; if they answer you, then these seats are yours."

"Are you playing games with me, kid? I bought these tickets three days ago for Carriage 6, seats 30 to 37. Now these tickets are in your hands—how can you say you didn't steal them?"

"How shameless can you be? You don't even have tickets, you boarded illegally, and now you want to occupy my seats!" He Yuzhu stood up and pointed at his nose, cursing back.

At this, the surrounding passengers began to crane their necks to watch.

Seeing that He Yuzhu was small in stature, the large man's arrogance grew even more: "You're just a thief! If you don't give up the seats, don't blame us for being rough!"

Before he could finish his sentence, He Yuzhu had already lunged forward and slapped the large man across the face.

The large man was sent staggering back, and in a fit of rage, he swung his fist toward He Yuzhu's face.

He Yuzhu nimbly ducked, then landed a heavy punch directly into the man's abdomen.

The large man let out a miserable shriek and flew backward, knocking over two of his accomplices behind him.

"Do you really think I'm easy to bully? Conductor, how are you doing your jobs? How could you let these scoundrels board without tickets?" He Yuzhu shouted at a conductor.

A middle-aged conductor bit the bullet and squeezed over, "Everyone, what is going on? Why are you fighting?"

Zhao Ying quickly stepped forward to explain: "Sir, please judge for us. We have tickets, yet we are being groundlessly accused by these people who have none. Don't you think that's ridiculous?"

The middle-aged conductor asked the burly men: "You say your tickets were stolen; do you have any proof?"

The large man clutched his stomach and gritted his teeth: "We bought the tickets three days ago and even specifically wrote down the carriage and seat numbers in a notebook. Yes, and the ticket numbers too. But when we were about to board, we found the tickets were gone, so we had to buy platform tickets to get on, only to find our tickets in the hands of these people. How can you say they didn't steal them?"

The middle-aged conductor said: "Fine, then take out your notebook and let me see. I'll check if the ticket numbers match!"

The burly man immediately shouted: "Lao San, bring over your notebook."

Lao San walked over and searched his backpack for the notebook, but after searching for a long time, he couldn't find it. In fact, this notebook had already been taken by He Yuzhu into his space.

"Make it up, keep making it up! Do you think this is a stage where you can make up stories however you like?" He Yuzhu mocked.

"Everyone, if you don't have tickets, get off the train immediately," a young man said.

"That's right, conductor, he even said himself he came on with a platform ticket. The train is about to leave, hurry up and kick him off!"

Most of the passengers in the carriage shook their heads, clearly no longer believing their story.

Suddenly, the large man reached into his pocket and discovered there were actually seven train tickets inside. He took them out and muttered in disbelief: "Impossible! Impossible! This is absolutely impossible!"

Seeing the tickets in the large man's hand, He Yuzhu said loudly: "Conductor, take a look! The person who called me a thief has the tickets in his own hand, yet he came to frame me! Hmph, if he doesn't apologize to me, I'll definitely beat him again."

The conductor hurried over and said: "Sir, what exactly is going on? How can you just start fighting without rhyme or reason? You, you should apologize to this gentleman. Otherwise, I won't care about your business anymore!"

The large man looked bewildered and said: "That's not right! My tickets were clearly for Carriage 6, seats 30 to 35. How did they become Carriage 7, seat 1? This is too strange."

He Yuzhu said coldly: "Are you sick? Do I have nothing better to do than swap tickets with you for fun? If you don't apologize today, you aren't leaving this carriage!"

The large man had seen He Yuzhu's power; one punch had shifted his internal organs, and he didn't want to take another, so he quickly said: "This gentleman, I'm sorry, I remembered wrong."

He Yuzhu said: "Get lost, looking at you is annoying."

After the men left, Zhao Ying leaned on He Yuzhu's shoulder and laughed uncontrollably.

"How exactly did that person offend you that you had to mess with him like that?"

"He glared at me!" He Yuzhu said with a smile.

"You're too bad, to be able to play like that. What if the others had come up too?" Zhao Ying said.

"Then just let them fight like dogs!" He Yuzhu raised his eyebrows triumphantly, drawing a coquettish, playful punch from Zhao Ying.
