Chapter 776: He Yuzhu is Surrounded by Heavy Forces

~8 min read 1,459 words

He Yuzhu and Nina had a full meal, then returned to the hotel.

Waiting until midnight, the two of them disguised themselves simply and quietly made their way toward the Sheffield Steel Factory.

But they hadn't gone far when He Yuzhu keenly sensed that someone was tailing them from behind.

After turning a corner, he immediately lowered his voice and said, "We're being watched; we have to take care of these tails."

Before Nina could react, He Yuzhu raised his hand and delivered a precise hand-blade strike to the side of her neck.

Nina's body went limp, and she fainted on the spot.

He quickly put her into his space, then concealed his own figure and entered the space as well.

Not long after, five figures hurried in pursuit.

The white man in the lead was panting heavily; looking at the empty intersection, he cursed loudly, "Damn it, where are they? How did they just vanish into thin air?"

A black man crouched down and carefully examined the ground: "Could they have hidden in the sewer?"

Another white man nearby chimed in, "I've seen the wanted posters. Judging by their builds, those two are nine times out of ten from the Shadow Organization. If we can catch them, boy, that's a one-million-dollar bounty!"

The black man couldn't help but mutter under his breath, "John, you've gone crazy over money! Those two are notorious killers. Don't end up losing your life before you even see a cent."

John curled his lip in disdain: "It's all just exaggerated rumors. If it really comes to a fight, it's not certain they could beat a boxer like me!"

Just as the group was talking animatedly, He Yuzhu suddenly appeared.

His movements were as fast as lightning; in the blink of an eye, he had taken all six of them into his space.

He Yuzhu had heard the group's conversation clearly and instantly understood the situation.

It turned out that someone behind the scenes had already given orders and set a dragnet in advance. With things like this, there was no need to go to the Steel Factory anymore.

He made a prompt decision, changed his plans on the fly, and headed straight for London.

London, the financial core of all of Europe. Going there to look around might yield quite a few benefits.

He Yuzhu used his Scanning System to directly open the door of a Land Rover by the side of the road, then hot-wired it to start the engine and drove away.

He didn't know, however, that among this group, a man named David had gone to use the restroom halfway through and had fallen behind.

Just as he hurried to catch up with the team, he happened to see a figure appear out of thin air, followed by his companions being swallowed up as if by something invisible, vanishing instantly.

David was scared out of his wits, his whole body turning cold.

Subconsciously, he shrank into the shadows by the road, covering his mouth tightly, not even daring to breathe.

Not until He Yuzhu drove away did his legs go weak, causing him to collapse onto the ground, gasping for air.

After a long while, David crawled up, ran wildly, and dashed all the way to a public phone booth on the street.

When he picked up the receiver, his hands were still shaking uncontrollably.

"Hello, this is David. I ran into people from the Shadow Organization... That person is not a normal human at all! With just one move, all the brothers in our group vanished into thin air."

The person on the other end of the line finished listening to the report, their tone instantly becoming excited: "David, you did well. Tell me, which direction did that person go?"

David swallowed hard and replied in a panic: "He stole a Land Rover and drove off, I don't know anything else... Oh right, I memorized the license plate number!"

"What is the number?"

"A808SYD."

After He Yuzhu drove onto the M1 Highway, he stopped the car and released Nina from the space.

Nina slowly woke up, rubbed her sore neck, and the first thing she asked was, "Did you blow up the Steel Factory?"

He Yuzhu shook his head slightly: "The other side had already laid an ambush with a large number of men. Even if we forced an explosion at the factory, it would be time-consuming and laborious, not worth the effort. It's better to go to London and make a good haul."

Nina smiled helplessly: "Your way of thinking is truly unrestrained."

He Yuzhu said calmly: "I originally intended to leave the United Kingdom directly, but I'm a bit unwilling to let it go, so I want to stay here for a few more days and observe."

"Let me drive; you rest for a while, and we'll rotate later," Nina offered.

"Alright."

He Yuzhu pulled over, and the two swapped seats.

He closed his eyes and leaned against the seat, appearing to rest, but in reality, he kept the Scanning System active the entire time, remaining alert to the surroundings.

In the early hours of the morning, the system suddenly issued an alert:

"Host, unidentified armed personnel have locked onto the target. Threat level is extremely high. Distance: 150 meters!"

He Yuzhu opened his eyes abruptly. Nina, who was driving, instantly sensed the abnormality and asked nervously, "He Yuzhu, what happened?"

He Yuzhu stared fixedly at the rearview mirror, his tone calm: "The car behind is a pursuer. Keep driving normally; don't show any flaws."

Nina didn't ask further, steadied her mind, gripped the steering wheel firmly, and continued driving.

After driving another twenty-plus kilometers, the car behind remained at a constant distance, following them closely.

Just then, a dull, rumbling sound slowly drifted over.

The sound didn't come from behind, but from the sky ahead, and it was getting closer, deafening.

"Nina, turn into the small road as soon as you see one," He Yuzhu ordered in a low voice.

"Understood."

He Yuzhu took a deep breath, moved two hundred kilograms of High-explosive Explosives out of the space, stacked them neatly in the back row, and quickly began installing the trigger-activated detonators.

Nina caught a glimpse of the dense pile of explosives in the back seat through her peripheral vision, her eyelashes trembling violently, "He Yuzhu, what are you doing?"

"Since they insist on pestering us, we'll play a big game with them. It's a perfect chance to use this opportunity to slip away."

Nina seemed to understand but didn't press for more details.

The rumbling sound overhead suddenly exploded, filling the air.

It wasn't just one; three helicopters were lowering their altitude from three directions in a triangular formation.

Blinding searchlights locked firmly onto the Land Rover on the road, leaving it with nowhere to hide.

"Turn now!"

As soon as he finished speaking, several blinding beams of light shot out from the road ahead, and the shrill sound of police sirens approached step by step.

"We are completely surrounded!" Nina's voice tightened instantly.

"Turn in!"

Nina slammed the steering wheel to the lock, the car body swerved violently, and it charged straight into a secluded country road to the side.

The helicopter had not expected the vehicle to change lanes suddenly, and in its haste, it hurriedly turned around to pursue.

The police cars behind reached the bend and slammed on their brakes, the brake pads screeching with a sharp, piercing noise.

The small road was pitted and bumpy, with mud splashing everywhere.

Nina gritted her teeth, held the steering wheel steady with all her might, and charged forward at full speed for several kilometers.

Until He Yuzhu suddenly reached out and gently pressed down on her shoulder.

"Stop the car."

Nina slammed her foot on the brake, the car body skidded several meters on the muddy road surface before barely coming to a halt.

Everything around was silent, save for the roar of the helicopter's propellers in the distance, which was growing louder and approaching rapidly.

"Why did you stop?" Nina turned her head to look at him, her breathing rapid.

He Yuzhu did not explain; he raised his hand and swung it, delivering a clean and decisive hand-blade strike.

Nina had no time to be surprised before her vision went black, and she fainted once again.

He Yuzhu moved nimbly, tucking her into his space.

Without a second's delay, he immediately selected two of the people he had captured earlier in Sheffield, pulled them out of the space, and placed them inside the car.

Finally, he took one last look at the installed detonation device, confirmed it was correct, and with a flash of his figure, he hid directly inside the space.
