Chapter 841: Hitting People

Ma Rui roared, "The hell are you all waiting for? Get him to the hospital, or someone's going to die! If something happens, you'll all be expelled!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the remaining few showed fear on their faces.

But Chen Jiadong was different; he stared fixedly at Ma Rui, like a venomous snake.

Without a word, Ma Rui rushed up and threw two more punches, knocking the man unconscious instantly.

He turned back and shouted at Yu Zhiwei, "Help me get Zhao Weiguo to the hospital! Any later and he'll die!"

By this time, the hallway was already packed with people; Yu Zhiwei desperately pushed through the crowd in front, while Ma Rui carried Zhao Weiguo on his back and charged out.

At this moment, the people from the Photography Advanced Class arrived.

Ma Rui saw Zhao Hu and roared at him, "Hurry to the school infirmary and call a doctor! Quick!"

Zhao Hu took off running the moment he heard this, sprinting toward the infirmary.

Ma Rui placed Zhao Weiguo on the first floor and told Yu Zhiwei to guard him, then rushed into a phone booth and yanked out a boy who was in the middle of a call.

Seeing Ma Rui covered in blood, the boy wanted to curse, but upon meeting Ma Rui's murderous eyes, he swallowed his words instantly.

Ma Rui dialed Jiang Mei's number and spoke rapidly, "Aunt Jiang, it's Ma Rui! A classmate in our dorm was stabbed with a knife and is badly hurt. Please send an ambulance over immediately! I'm afraid he won't hold on if it takes too long!"

Jiang Mei replied immediately, "Alright, you're at the Film Academy, right?"

"Yes!"

After hanging up, Ma Rui pulled out a hundred-yuan bill and shoved it into the boy's hand, "Sorry about that."

The man clutched the money, stunned, muttering to himself, "Holy crap... that's generous?"

Ma Rui ran back to Zhao Weiguo's side.

The school doctor had already arrived and was administering a hemostatic injection.

Not long after, an ambulance wailed as it arrived.

Ma Rui and the people from the Photography Advanced Class lifted Zhao Weiguo into the vehicle together.

He shoved a card into Yu Zhiwei's hand, "Lao Yu, there's ten thousand yuan in here; use it for the hospital bills and whatever else."

Yu Zhiwei gave a thumbs-up, his eyes slightly red, "Brother, you're a stand-up guy. From now on, I'm with you!"

Ma Rui waved his hand, "I can't go to the hospital today, you guys take care of things."

No sooner had he finished speaking than someone from the department arrived.

Teacher Qi stood with hands on hips and asked, "Ma Rui, did you participate in the fight?"

As soon as Ma Rui heard this, he knew Li Xiang was bad-mouthing him behind his back, so he immediately said, "Teacher Qi, don't go slandering people! Chen Jiadong and his group charged into our dorm with Japanese knives to stab people. If it weren't for me, Zhao Weiguo would have been stabbed to death by them already! If a life is really lost, you won't be able to keep your job as head teacher either!"

Teacher Qi glared fiercely at Li Xiang, "Is that what happened?"

Li Xiang hurriedly shook his head, "Teacher Qi, don't believe him! He's the one who knocked Chen Jiadong unconscious! He even hit me; my ribs are broken now!"

Ma Rui sneered, "I know my own strength; don't give me that nonsense."

Not long after, Deputy Director Liu arrived.

He called everyone who had been at the scene into the office.

He questioned them one by one, and finally, it was Ma Rui's turn.

He sat with his legs crossed, looking coldly at Ma Rui, and asked, "Why did you help the people from the Photography Advanced Class beat up your own classmates?"

Ma Rui was speechless, but he patiently explained, "Deputy Director Liu, Chen Jiadong went crazy and brought a knife in to hurt people. If I hadn't knocked him out, Zhao Weiguo would be finished. How does it become my fault in your eyes?"

"Insolent!" Deputy Director Liu slammed the table and said, "You nearly crippled two of our class's students, and you're saying it has nothing to do with you?"

Seeing his attitude, Ma Rui slammed the door and walked out.

He didn't return to the dorm, but instead dialed Li Xiangxiu's number.

After hearing what happened, Li Xiangxiu said in a deep voice, "Son, don't worry, I'll send people to investigate this immediately. If your deputy director dares to cause you trouble, I'll make him pay dearly."

Ma Rui gave a bitter smile, "Mom, I feel like I did a good deed today, but instead I've offended the department. I'm afraid I won't have an easy life from now on. Do you think what I did was wrong?"

Li Xiangxiu comforted him softly, "Son, you did exactly the right thing. If not for you today, those hot-headed kids would all be going to prison. You saved them. They will be grateful to you in the future."

Ma Rui's eyes reddened, and he said, "Mom, I'm always troubling you lately... I'm sorry."

Li Xiangxiu laughed and scolded, "You silly boy, why are you being so polite with your mother? Come to me if you have any trouble."

Deputy Director Liu threw his hand down fiercely and turned to walk out.

Ma Rui had lost his sleepiness, so he put on his clothes, packed his bag, and prepared to go home.

Just as he walked out of the dorm building, a female voice came from behind—

"Ma Rui!"

He turned back to see it was Liu Wei from his class.

Ma Rui's tone was a bit cold, "Do you need something?"

Liu Wei walked up and looked at him earnestly, "Ma Rui, what you did today was right, I support you. I know Deputy Director Liu has always had an opinion about you."

Ma Rui sighed, "Thanks. I think the classmates in our class all hate me now; there's no need for you to get close to me, it won't do you any good."

Liu Wei whispered, "I think... you should talk to the Department Head. He is still very fair."

Ma Rui shook his head: "The Department Head will also side with the Deputy Director. I'd better go talk to the Principal!"

Liu Wei gathered her courage and said: "Can I go with you? I want to be a witness for you."

Ma Rui laughed and said: "You must be a rabbit, your ears are really sharp."

The two arrived in front of the Principal's office door; Ma Rui pricked up his ears and listened for a long while before gently knocking on the door.

A weary voice came from inside: "Come in."

Ma Rui walked in with a grin.

Dean Liu looked up at him and asked: "Young man, which department are you from? Do you have business with me?"

"Performance Department. Dean, I have a complaint to make to you today..."

Ma Rui told the story of what happened today from beginning to end, exactly as it occurred.

After listening, Dean Liu nodded: "Young man, go back. You did nothing wrong today. I will talk to your Deputy Director Liu."

Liu Wei hurriedly added: "Dean, I am Ma Rui's classmate, Liu Wei. I was at the scene at the time; those few people rushed in to cause trouble for Zhao Weiguo, and I couldn't stop them. If it weren't for Ma Rui, today's incident definitely would have escalated further."

Dean Liu glanced at her, nodded slightly, and said nothing more.

Ma Rui turned and walked out of the office, the frustration in his heart finally easing a little.
