Chapter 960: Washing Away Charges with Bombs
Johnny led Inspector Frank and several agents to the door of Room 304.
Frank stepped forward first, pressed his ear against the door, and heard the television inside playing the news.
He signaled to those behind him, and several burly agents immediately positioned themselves on both sides of the door, striking a pose ready to pounce and make an arrest at any moment.
"Thump, thump, thump—" At Frank's instruction, Johnny began to knock on the door.
At this moment, He Yuzhu was sitting on the sofa, gnawing on a pig's trotter while sipping Rémy Martin, waiting for the FBI to show up.
He shouted toward the door with some impatience: "Who is it? What time is it? Are you not going to let a person sleep?"
The front desk clerk Johnny hurriedly lowered his voice and said: "Mr. He, a guest downstairs complained to the front desk, saying your room is leaking, and we need to go in and check the pipes. Sorry to bother you, please open the door!"
Upon hearing this, He Yuzhu cursed on the spot: "You son of a bitch, you're retaliating against me, right? You're annoyed that I didn't give you a tip! This excuse of yours is fucking old news."
Although he cursed like that, he still got up from the sofa, shuffled into his slippers, walked to the door, and pulled it open.
The moment the door opened a crack, the FBI agent in the very front kicked out impatiently, aiming straight for He Yuzhu's chest.
Who would have thought that He Yuzhu was like a prophet; he tilted his body slightly, his right hand reached out like lightning, his five fingers clamped onto the man's ankle like iron pincers, and he gave it a fierce twist to the side—
With a crisp "crack," that agent's entire thigh was dislocated by He Yuzhu on the spot.
He Yuzhu let go, and the man couldn't stand on one leg; he fell to the ground with a "thud," rolling around in pain and howling.
Inspector Frank and the other agents saw that things were going poorly and swarmed in, reaching out to try and pin He Yuzhu to the ground.
But He Yuzhu's fists were fast to the extreme; with both fists swinging left and right, after a few muffled "bang, bang, bang..." sounds, the several burly men were all knocked unconscious, lying sprawled all over the floor.
Johnny, who was standing to the side, only then came to his senses and turned to run toward the end of the corridor, but before he had taken two steps, he took a fierce flying kick to his lower back.
He lunged forward, hit the wall, bounced back, and fell to the ground, also passing out, clutching his waist and unable to catch his breath for a long time.
Just then, the fallen FBI Inspector Frank slowly regained consciousness and shouted at the top of his lungs: "You dare to assault an officer? In our country, this is a serious crime!"
Upon hearing this, He Yuzhu turned his head and cursed him out: "Assault your grandfather! In the middle of the night, without showing credentials or identifying yourselves, you come up and kick me—do you think I'm a soft persimmon to be squeezed? If you have business, can't you go through proper channels? I have diplomatic immunity, and you must give me an explanation today."
Frank still wanted to turn the tables and sneered: "You are a member of a diplomatic delegation, yet you participated in illegal boxing matches; isn't this reason enough?"
He Yuzhu laughed: "If you really dare to release the recording from that day, I'll admire you! I was invited by the big conglomerates of your country, and there was a proper contract for the boxing match."
Frank said: "You're on our turf, so what if you have a contract? The final interpretation still rests with our Bureau Chief."
He Yuzhu laughed again: "You probably didn't expect that I had already copied the full recording of this event and mailed it back to our country. If you want to make an issue out of this, I'll play along to the end. Soon, the entire recording from that day will be made public; let's see if you have the ability to bear the consequences!" He Yuzhu dropped these words with full confidence.
Only then did Frank realize he had botched the mission. In fact, Bureau Chief Fuli had never ordered them to arrest the person directly; he had only instructed them to check if He Jian was at the hotel, and if not, to wait on the spot. To arrest him when he returned.
It was clear that today's situation had completely exceeded Fuli's expectations; it was his own impulsive decision to try and forcibly take He Yuzhu away.
He suddenly realized that this He Jian was truly not easy to deal with.
However, Frank reacted quickly and promptly admitted defeat: "Mr. He, there must be a misunderstanding here. Could you let me make a phone call?"
He Yuzhu nodded; he wasn't afraid of these people, but after all, the delegation was still on their turf, and he couldn't go too far.
"I haven't tied you up, do as you please."
Inspector Frank called Bureau Chief Fuli directly.
After hearing the report, Fuli hesitated for a long time before finally ordering: "Withdraw the personnel for now, continue to keep a close watch on He Jian, and don't arrest him tonight."
Frank hurriedly said: "I understand."
He walked up to He Yuzhu and bowed deeply: "I'm sorry, Mr. He, we misunderstood the intentions from above. Please forgive us."
He Yuzhu waved his hand immediately: "Get out! Don't let me see you again."
Several agents carried their companion with the dislocated thigh and soon left the floor.
Once they were all gone, He Yuzhu, cooped up in the hotel room, felt angrier the more he thought about it, the fire in his chest surging upward.
He slammed the table, a cold glint flashing in his eyes—you suspect me, don't you? Then I'll pull off an even bigger stunt tonight!
With a thought, He Yuzhu used the Time-Space Shuttle again, and in the blink of an eye, he appeared in the ammunition depot of a B2 Stealth Bomber at Whiteman Air Force Base.
This was a location he had specifically chosen, because in this era, every important place in M Country was equipped with cameras, and the aircraft hangars were no exception.
He Yuzhu's goal this time was clear: to destroy several of the planes they treasured like gold.
Once inside the ammunition depot, he didn't drag his feet at all and quickly released the Timed Bomb from his space.
Then, with a shift of his mind, he shuttled into the cockpit of the next plane.
One, two, three... he flashed back and forth among the fleet like a ghost, each time fast, accurate, and ruthless; he placed the bombs and left, never lingering.
He didn't stop until he had placed bombs inside the eighth plane—because this was already his physical limit; if he forced another Time-Space Shuttle, it would endanger his life.
He shuttled directly back to the hotel room, collapsed on the bed, panting heavily, and took a large gulp from a water glass, yet a cold sneer appeared on his face.
An hour later, while the Pentagon was still in a state of chaos dealing with the aftermath of the oil depot explosion, another bolt from the blue struck—eight B2 Stealth Bombers were bombed simultaneously!
These were treasures worth 2.4 billion US dollars each; combined, the loss for the eight planes soared to over ten billion US dollars!
Once the news spread, the entire military high command was in an uproar; the sound of cups being smashed and tables being pounded in the conference room could be heard clearly from far away.
And at this time, He Yuzhu was fast asleep on the bed.
Outside the hotel, Frank received a call from Fuli: "Has that He Jian left the hotel?"
Frank was confused: "Boss, let alone He Jian, not even a bird has flown out of the hotel."
Fuli said in a deep voice: "Whiteman Air Force Base has been bombed!"
Frank was stunned, then said: "Boss, don't suspect this He Jian; he couldn't possibly have the ability to do this."
Fuli sighed: "Withdraw your men; it seems someone else bombed the airfield."
