Chapter 1546

Liu Wan smiled hurriedly: "Department Chief is thirsty? I'll go make you tea right now."

Walking into the office, Cao Weiguo sat on the sofa and took the documents from Hua Bo's hand. Even though he had delegated power to the maximum extent, most things still needed him, the department chief, to make the final decision. Looking at the application submitted by the Red Flag Machinery Factory, Cao Weiguo felt a slight headache.

The head of this Red Flag Machinery Factory relied on people above, and every few days he wanted food and things, really treating him as a god of wealth.

Cao Weiguo frowned: "You go to work first. I have to report this application to Bureau Chief Jiang before I can decide."

Hua Bo turned and left obediently. Liu Wan served tea to Cao Weiguo diligently: "Department Chief, what do you think of the application from Hongshankou Machinery Repair Factory?"

Cao Weiguo blew on the tea leaves and asked unhurriedly: "I know that the production tasks of Hongshankou Machinery Repair Factory have increased a lot. This coal application is approved. You arrange for people to go to Shanxi to purchase as soon as possible."

Liu Wan smiled: "I'll go arrange it."

After Liu Wan left with the documents, Cao Weiguo fished leisurely in the office, and only walked out of the office when it was almost mealtime to inspect the work style of each section.

Hua Bo is an old man in the Procurement Management Department. He has worked since 1959 and has become a deputy department chief and concurrently section chief of the first section step by step. In terms of seniority, Hua Bo is most likely to succeed as department chief. Unfortunately, his family background caused him to miss the promotion opportunity. If it weren't for his seniority and upright style, and no substantial errors were investigated, he might not even be able to keep his job.

When Cao Weiguo suddenly became the department chief of the Procurement Management Department, Hua Bo's emotions were quite high at first, but he couldn't stand Cao Weiguo's carrot and stick, using "sincerity" to move this old man, letting this old man regain his spirit and continue to shine in the Procurement Management Department.

In addition to the first section for which Hua Bo is responsible, the Procurement Management Department also has five section chiefs. The charming Liu Wan is one of them. This woman is a smart person. From the moment Cao Weiguo took office, she expressed her loyalty and unconditionally implemented Cao Weiguo's decisions, allowing her to become Cao Weiguo's "confidant" in the shortest time, repeatedly entrusted with important tasks, and becoming a big red person in the Procurement Management Department, making other section chiefs both disdainful and jealous.

Passing by the third section, Cao Weiguo glanced at it. Only to see Section Chief Lu Mingfei of the third section reading the newspaper intently, like a scholar who doesn't listen to things outside the window and only reads sage books. For this fence-sitter, Cao Weiguo just set a fire to extinguish his arrogance and then left him idle on the side, promoting a deputy section chief to take over the work of the third section, just waiting for the opportunity to exile him for three thousand miles.

Section Chief Zhou Hanmin of the fourth section is a veteran who entered the Municipal Industry Bureau two months earlier than Cao Weiguo. His way of handling things still carries a military style. Cao Weiguo has respect for this people's soldier who won a first-class merit. Under his deliberate association, the relationship between the two is considered harmonious.

Section Chief Liang Qingping of the fifth section wears glasses, buries his head in work, and doesn't care about politics. He is a pragmatic person promoted by Bureau Chief Jiang from the grassroots level.

Section Chief Tian Liye of the sixth section is a sycophant. Since Cao Weiguo stood firm in the Industry Bureau, he immediately turned into a dog-legged person, pouring tea and water for Cao Weiguo whenever he had time, and must visit and send gifts during festivals. As long as Cao Weiguo coughs, he immediately runs over to ask about his well-being, which may be more filial than to his own father.

"Hello, Department Chief."

Cao Weiguo walked to the stairs and met a beautiful girl with short hair.

This girl is named Li Guoxiang, a newcomer who joined the Municipal Industry Bureau during the May 1st period. Because of her outstanding appearance, she became a flower of the Industry Bureau in a short time. The young people pursuing her can already form a class.

Cao Weiguo smiled: "Little Li, it's mealtime, why haven't you gone to eat?"

Li Guoxiang said softly: "I'll go eat after I deliver the documents to Section Chief Liang."

Cao Weiguo said: "Oh, then hurry up."

Watching Li Guoxiang walk hurriedly toward the fifth section, Cao Weiguo was lost for a moment, and couldn't help but sigh for the beautiful and gentle Little Li in his heart. Such a beautiful flower, I don't know which cow dung it will be cheapened by.

"Brother Weiguo, finally found you."

"Brother Feng, why are you here?"

Cao Weiguo was about to go to the canteen to eat when Section Chief Feng, led by the guard, walked over, sweating profusely.

Section Chief Feng said with urgency: "Brother Weiguo, I am here to ask for your help. This time brother has encountered trouble, you must pull brother."

Cao Weiguo said: "Brother Feng, don't worry, it's mealtime now, let's talk while eating."

Leading Section Chief Feng to the canteen of the Industry Bureau, Cao Weiguo found a remote place to sit down and handed a meal to Section Chief Feng.

Section Chief Feng grabbed Cao Weiguo's hand and pleaded urgently: "Old Chen was taken away by the Ministry. This guy is not clean, dug the corner of the collective, left a bad debt for the rolling mill, the logistics department has a deficit, and the Ministry also sent people to our factory for a comprehensive review. Director Li asked me to be responsible for reception, but now the logistics department is empty, I really can't take out things to receive those comrades from the Ministry, and I can't make up for the deficit in a short time. I am at a dead end now, and can only ask you to save me."

Cao Weiguo said with a serious expression: "Let's talk about the deficit of the logistics department first."

Section Chief Feng confessed truthfully with sweat on his forehead: "Six hundred catties of cooking oil, five hundred catties of white sugar, six thousand catties of flour, five hundred catties of pork... Those things were misappropriated by Old Chen in various names. This dog thing has harmed me miserably."

Cao Weiguo thought for a while: "I will help you make up for the deficit materials. Can the accounts of the logistics department be seamless?"

Section Chief Feng said hurriedly: "As long as the materials are in place, the accounts will not be a problem. Hey, in fact, these things are on the accounts, and they haven't been deducted at all. If this dog thing Old Chen hadn't been arrested, these materials would eventually be broken into pieces and consumed bit by bit. But I don't know who reported Old Chen, plus the Ministry's action was too fast, making the factory caught off guard."

Cao Weiguo asked: "Does Director Li know about this deficit?"

Section Chief Feng said in a low voice: "Of course he knows. Old Chen drinks the soup, and he eats the meat."

Cao Weiguo secretly said it was indeed so. I am afraid that not only Li Huaide eats meat, but this Old Feng in front of him has also fished for a lot of oil and water.

After leaving Section Chief Feng for a while, Cao Weiguo frowned and said: "Make a detailed list for me. Tomorrow you personally take people and cars to Dongli Village, tell Director Li, this batch of materials is off-plan procurement, and the accounts will be made up one by one after the investigation."

Section Chief Feng hugged Cao Weiguo's right hand excitedly: "Brother Weiguo, you are my reborn parents!" ===== CHAPTER 1548 =====
