Chapter 216

This made Cao Weiguo suspect whether what Li Xiuxia said about the copper burner was true or false.

"Xiuxia, who is this?"

A thin woman covered in patches walked out from the inner room.

Li Xiuxia said: "Mom, this is Director Cao, who wants to see the incense burner in our house."

Li's mother said: "Oh, Director Cao likes collecting?"

This sentence surprised Cao Weiguo; does this woman know the details of the incense burner?

Cao Weiguo said with a smile: "My old leader above likes old items, so if I come across them, I collect a couple."

Li's mother said with a smile: "I thought so; in this day and age, how could a young man like those things."

In this era, antiques and cultural relics are not "good things!"

While talking, Li Xiuxia took out a three-legged tripod-style incense burner from the inner room.

Cao Weiguo's eyes immediately lit up: "Auntie, do you know the origin of this thing?"

Li's mother said with a smile: "This is something divided from the landlord's house. I used to be a servant in the landlord's house and heard the landlord say that this thing is an old antique."

Cao Weiguo held the three-legged tripod and looked at it seriously, touching it seriously.

If there weren't people around, he would have loved to take out a magnifying glass to look at it.

Li Xiuxia asked eagerly: "Director Cao, do you want this thing?"

After an appraisal, Cao Weiguo's preliminary judgment was that this was a Song Dynasty incense burner.

Hearing Li Xiuxia's words, Cao Weiguo asked: "How much money does Sister Li want to exchange it for?"

Li Xiuxia looked at her mother, and Li's mother thought for a moment and said: "Ten yuan."

Hearing this price, Li Xiuxia was surprised.

Ten yuan!

Her mother really dared to speak, not afraid of scaring people away.

The next second, she opened her eyes wide.

Cao Weiguo said readily: "Okay."

Li's mother was also stunned: "Are you really willing to pay ten yuan?"

Cao Weiguo said with a smile: "This three-legged tripod is in good condition; my leader should like it."

Li's mother said: "Hey! No matter when, officials are officials, different from ordinary people!"

Cao Weiguo took ten yuan out of his pocket and handed it to Li Xiuxia.

This made Li Xiuxia very happy.

Back when she got married, the dowry given by her in-laws was five yuan.

Just for this five-yuan dowry, her in-laws scolded her for a long time, saying her family was greedy for money.
