Chapter 87: Words on the Launch
Finally, this exciting moment has arrived!
The book has struggled through over a month of progress, and will officially go live tomorrow at noon.
Come to think of it, I'm an old hand now; back then I wrote Jade Capital Mountain just for fun, never imagining I could later publish a premium work without an outline—so although the initial subscription was high, nearly five thousand, I finished after only over 700,000 words.
This is truly a regret……
And this book, Simulating the Primordial, was also written on a whim, yet surprisingly its performance is still great!
I myself didn't even expect that……
And actually, everyone can see that the beginning of this book wasn't very good.
In terms of recommendations, the book was hopeless at first; during its initial listing period it gained an average of only three new collections per day, so that by the first trial period it had fewer than a hundred total—just seventy-something……
Honestly, I almost dropped it then.
From then on, the average daily increase was 300 to 400!
While others averaged two to three hundred collections on the first day of a trial, I had only eighty—people were dumbfounded!
Fuchen senior also felt something was off, and overnight he had me change the title in an attempt to salvage things.
Then came the plot problem:
I've read plenty of simulation and primordial fiction, and I basically know their fundamental flaws.
Simulation fiction mainly suffers because the simulation sections crowd out the protagonist's screen time, making the better and longer the simulation, the harder it is to weave in reality; I can only try to compensate by linking the two plots through some format so they don't become too split.
Then I went through second, third, and fourth trials, breaking through all the way to the small horn and the Three Rivers.
I myself can't believe that changing the title could make such a difference…… but the fact is right in front of me, there's no way around it……
As for primordial fiction, the main issue is chaotic settings—for example, the power of sages: some sages aren't even as strong as a nuclear bomb, while others at the Great Luo level can randomly jump timelines……
The very day after changing the title, which was the second day of the trial, the increase jumped straight to 150!
Therefore this setting is neither low-spec nor high-spec; it has none of things like 'one proof eternal proof', 'reverse cause and effect', or 'all realms return to one'.
So there's no way around it……
Next is the launch subscription bonus chapters: for every few thousand initial subscriptions I'll add extra chapters, and I'll definitely keep updating!
For monthly ticket bonus chapters, every five hundred monthly tickets earns an extra chapter, to be repaid the following month.
So I persisted in writing and went through the trial.
The former is low-spec, with weak power, making it hard to sustain.
And I think veteran bookworms have always disliked titles like 'Simulation' and 'Primordial', as well as those with commas or colons in the middle, because they look like assembly‑line studio products.
Back then the title was 《I Advise You Not to Be Too Extreme》, and the senior said the title lacked distinctive flair and should have some keywords added.
Tomorrow at noon there will be three chapters, plus two more in the afternoon, for a total of five—not many, but I've done my best.
The latter is high-spec, with boxes piled haphazardly and settings collapsing in chaos.
This book essentially has only two realms: sage and below sage; sages are absolutely invincible, a pure mechanical descent of deities, and they won't appear unless necessary.
Fortunately, with Fuchen senior's encouragement, I at least managed to get through the trial once, then decide based on the results.
But later it proved that the senior was indeed a senior, and his words were not empty.
Then on the first day it gained fewer than eighty new collections……
So I hesitated when changing it, fearing a backlash, but I went ahead—and that's how we got the current title 《Simulating the Primordial》……
Finally, please subscribe for the launch! Please vote with monthly tickets! Please follow for updates!
The previous book Jade Capital Mountain had 4600 launch subscriptions; this book's recommendation performance is better than that, so it shouldn't be lower……
Thanks!
So most of this book's plot can only take place below the sage level, which causes the sage presence to feel lacking and the sage image to not be vivid enough—for example, Nüwa…… because her screen time is truly scarce.
Then comes the matter of updates:
In short, thanks to Fuchen senior's encouragement, I'm finally going to launch! Thank you, senior! I really want to improve!
As for bonus chapters from tips…… I don't know how to set it, since I've rarely received tips before; maybe everyone can comment here and give me suggestions before I decide.
After all, I really want to improve!
