Jiude Mayi, clad in a black bodysuit, swiped her key card to unlock the door and stepped into the presidential suite, her steps slightly unsteady.

“Oh! Back so soon, long legs?”

In the living room lined with multiple LCD screens, a petite, beautiful girl lay on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, munching on a bag of chips with a crunching sound; on the screen before her, the view from Wu Xian’s room was displayed.

In the video, Wu Xian had just stepped out of the bathroom, a white towel wrapped around his waist, revealing his toned, lean upper body—his muscles defined but not bulky—drawing wide-eyed admiration from the girl.

“Looks like our little white rabbit #2 is into fitness, huh? Look at that physique, those abs… what a waste not to be a host at Takamagahara.”

“He’s no white rabbit—he’s more like a big bad wolf.”

Jiude Mayi, who had just entered the suite, snorted, peeled off her bodysuit, and muttered a complaint.

“Boss is so biased—why am I always sent on dangerous missions while you lounge on the sofa watching pretty boys? Do you know? I almost got sliced into five pieces by that little princess’s judgment.”

“Can’t help it—I’m the one handling the money. Here, take a sip to calm down.”

The girl on the sofa—Su Enxi, nicknamed “Chip Girl”—smiled and handed Jiude Mayi a glass of premium sake: Tengu Dance Yūhō Daiginjo.

Jiude Mayi sniffed but took the white porcelain cup, drained the sweet sake in one gulp, then exhaled a long, hot breath, as if loosening her stiffened body from the night’s cold wind.

“From your tone, our little princess has escaped her cage—so the second mission begins…”

Su Enxi took the empty cup, turned back to the sofa, and picked up a laptop, fingers flying across the keyboard.

Seconds later, one of the surveillance screens switched to a live feed of Tokyo’s bustling streets.

As the image zoomed in, a figure in red-and-white shrine maiden attire gradually came into focus.

The red-haired girl now wandered aimlessly through Tokyo’s streets, clutching a map and a sticky note, her naturally dazed, vacant expression oddly endearing.

After studying the girl’s pure, innocent face for a moment, Su Enxi whistled softly. “I have to admit—she’s stunning.”

“Not just stunning—dangerous.”

Jiude Mayi said, recalling something, her body trembling slightly.

Clearly, the red-haired girl in the footage was Uesugi Eri, the current head of the Uesugi family, whom Jiude Mayi had released from confinement an hour ago.

"Long legs, why did the boss arrange for Little White Rabbit No. 2 to meet this princess? It seems like he's trying to match them up."

"But according to the original plan, the male lead was supposed to be Little White Rabbit No. 1, right?"

Su Enxi rubbed her chin, her face full of confusion.

“Who knows? Maybe he suddenly thought the emotionless girl suited him better.”

Thinking of her unpredictable, capricious, infuriating boss, Jiude Mayi rolled her eyes, then walked barefoot, hips swaying, into the bathroom.

“They won’t meet for at least two or three hours—I’m going to soak. Keep a close eye on both of them.”

“You can trust me.”

Su Enxi gave a thumbs-up. Once Jiude Mayi closed the bathroom door, she lay back on the sofa, crunching chips loudly while idly watching the screens.

But she didn’t know that everything happening here was being watched by someone else.

“Shrine maiden attire, red hair—this girl is Uesugi Eri?”

Wu Xian, dressing with his back to the pinhole camera, frowned slightly, puzzled by Lu Mingze’s move.

Was he thinking women only slow down his brother’s revenge, so he just shoved the future sister-in-law (not really) into his arms to sever their karmic ties?

The idea was too absurd—he quickly dismissed it and decided to wait and see.

After all, saving the monster was one of his main goals in Japan, and Lu Mingze’s move suited him perfectly—he had no reason not to cooperate.

“Could this also be part of his plan?”

Slipping on his final black casual jacket, Wu Xian took a slow breath, then walked toward the hotel door with anticipation.

Akihabara—the legendary sanctuary of otaku.

This district housed over a thousand electronics stores, brimming with the latest games and gadgets, and Tokyo’s most upscale maid cafés, waiting for countless “dog-samas” to arrive.

Naturally, it was one of Tokyo’s busiest, most vibrant areas—even on non-holidays, otaku flooded in endlessly, their excited chatter echoing everywhere.

“Finally got it—no wonder Akihabara’s famous. This trip was worth it!”

A figure of average build stepped out of a game store, clutching several collector’s edition game boxes, his ordinary face glowing with satisfaction.

His name was Li Si, a Chinese man and a longtime “two-sword” enthusiast.

He came to Tokyo for tourism, partly at his girlfriend’s suggestion, but mostly to visit Akihabara and experience the legendary otaku paradise.

Now that his goal was achieved and he’d gathered some fine spiritual nourishment, it was time to return to his girlfriend.

Thinking this, he stuffed the games into his backpack, ready to push through the crowd—when his gaze shifted and caught a beautiful figure standing at the intersection.

A strange girl in red-and-white shrine maiden attire, as if stepped out of an anime.

Her hair was a vivid crimson—and Li Si swore it wasn’t dyed; no dye could produce such a perfect hue.

Beyond that, her figure was breathtaking. Though he only stole a glance, the flawless curves lingered in his mind.

But remembering he was a married man, Li Si forced himself to look away, quashing the urge to ask if she was lost—just to flirt.

He didn’t realize he was secretly afraid.

The girl looked so gentle and fragile, yet an aura of supreme authority radiated from her, making him instinctively recoil—as if even the thought of approaching her was perilous.

In fact, others felt the same—they all unconsciously avoided her path.

From afar, it looked as if an invisible, thick barrier had formed around her.

【Is this Akihabara?】

Eri stood at the intersection, her slightly cloudy rose-colored eyes reflecting the changing traffic lights.

This was her ninth time running away from home.

During her last medical checkup, she’d met a strange man. After a fight, he fled in disgrace, leaving behind only a few photos and a map—and destroyed the surveillance equipment.

Taking the opportunity, Eri slipped out of the house again.

Unlike before, the medical staff and guards vanished as if erased—no one followed or intercepted her after she left the building.

Following the map and photos, Eri finally reached Akihabara—but…

Staring blankly at the dense crowds and towering, neon-lit skyscrapers, she didn’t know which way to go.

The world is so big, so many people… a little scary…

The girl, like a fledgling bird leaving its nest, gazed at this utterly alien world with faint fear and curiosity.

“Are you lost?”

At that moment, a gentle voice came from behind.
