Chapter 263: Using the Chat Group to Exploit the Master God

~6 min read 1,173 words

The words had barely left his mouth when a blinding white light suddenly flashed beside him, then vanished the next instant—Zheng Zha was gone from where he had stood.

Immediately, every member of the Zhongzhou team saw the same chat group interface pop up before their eyes, vibrating with effects and sound, and almost simultaneously, two new lines of text appeared.

Your group member 【Scarlet Emperor of Decay】 has initiated a video call. Accept?

The group exchanged glances, all feeling intrigued, and each chose to accept.

The next second, their chat interface was replaced by a video feed showing Zheng Zha's pale face—enlarged.

"Captain! I really got teleported to the Fantasy World! The teleport function works fine!"

Zheng Zha's excited voice echoed in their ears, then he turned slightly, pivoting the camera toward a thriving field of sunflowers.

"I just don't know where exactly this is—the Sage of Demons isn't nearby."

Wu Xian said nothing, only stared blankly at the sunflower field before him, his eyelid twitching involuntarily.

Fantasy World… Sunflower Field… he now roughly knew where this was.

"Zheng Zha, did you step on any of those sunflowers when you teleported?"

"Ah, uh…"

Zheng Zha froze, looked down at the crushed petals beneath his feet, and offered a sheepish grin to the livestream camera.

"Heh, good luck to you."

Wu Xian shook his head without speaking, wearing the mournful expression of a man who'd just lost a teammate—leaving Zheng Zha with a string of question marks hovering above his head, utterly confused by his captain's words.

But the next instant, a dangerous aura surged violently—Zheng Zha shuddered, instinctively turning his head, only to see his entire field of vision filled with crimson light.

"BOOM————!!!"

"Uh… was that Fūkien Yūka's sunflower field?"

As the livestream automatically ended, Li Xiaoyi, the former high school otaku, finally snapped back to reality, scratching his head and glancing at his captain as if seeking confirmation.

"Maybe. Who knows?"

Wu Xian shrugged, then @ed both Fu Zha and Yagumo Shiki in the chat group—telling the former to report his current situation and location, and the latter to go retrieve the guy from the sunflower field before someone actually died.

Soon, according to Fu Zha's report, he had appeared near the Red Magic Mansion and was already being watched by a maid whose name sounded suspiciously like a hentai artist's—both sides were currently engaged in "friendly" conversation.

As for Yagumo Shiki, though she promised she'd keep an eye on them, everyone knew: for this top-tier mischief-maker who loved to spy, she wouldn't do anything serious until she'd finished watching the show.

Thinking of this, Wu Xian sighed helplessly, then swept his gaze across the other Zhongzhou team members, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"Now, it's your turn."

Thud!

The door shut. Wu Xian stepped out of Zhan Lan's room, silently counting five seconds—then the door swung open from within, and all the Zhongzhou team members emerged.

But unlike when they entered, each now wore different clothes and bore a visibly altered demeanor—as if they'd lived through countless events.

"How was your dimensional travel experience? Did the time match up?"

Wu Xian asked, curious.

"Exactly one month—no more, no less."

"Same for me."

"Me too."

Everyone nodded in unison, all arriving at the same conclusion.

After Zheng Zha and Fu Zha had been teleported to the Fantasy World, Wu Xian had sequentially sent the rest of the Zhongzhou team to several anime dimensions previously marked in the chat group.

Zhu Wen, Chu Xuan, and Wang Xia went to the Naruto dimension; Li Xiaoyi and Mu Gang to One Piece; Qi Tengyi, Lingdian, and Cheng Xiao chose Type-Moon; Zhan Lan went to Bleach; Zhao Yingkong went to Fairy Tail—all set to return after one month.

He did this to conduct an experiment—he had exchanged reward points with the Master God for an extra month of rest in Zhan Lan's private room, then used the chat group's dimensional teleport function to send each Zhongzhou member to separate dimensions, testing whether it would conflict with the Master God's system.

The result pleased Wu Xian greatly: the chat group and the Master God were two independent systems—he could use this method to simultaneously traverse multiple dimensions while spending only one set of reward points, effectively exploiting a bug in the Master God's system.

Wu Xian had even devised an even more permanent solution: spend a massive amount of reward points and plotlines to remodel one of the private rooms—for example, the Spirit Time Chamber from Dragon Ball, which had a 1: 00 time ratio with the outside world—granting him vast amounts of time to scavenge resources across worlds and strengthen himself.

Beyond that, Wu Xian planned to recruit characters from past horror movie worlds into the group—like Alice from Resident Evil, or Van Helsing from the Van Helsing world… That way, when they re-entered those worlds, they wouldn't waste extra reward points and could freely plunder plotlines—perfect.

"The experiment exceeded expectations."

As if sensing Wu Xian's thoughts, Chu Xuan adjusted his glasses and pulled a massive octopus tentacle from his storage space, speaking calmly:

"We attempted to capture a Tailed Beast in the Naruto dimension. Though we failed, it triggered a Master God side quest prompt—this proves the dimensions linked by this chat group are all contained within this multiverse, and the Master God can locate and connect to them."

"Oh! So that's possible!"

Wu Xian's eyes lit up at first, then narrowed as he realized something.

He had assumed Zhao Hao, like himself, was a transmigrant from beyond the infinite multiverse, and that the chat group's origin resembled the mysterious space—but now it seemed otherwise…

After a moment's thought, Wu Xian suppressed the thought and let it rest.

No matter the chat group's original origin, one thing was certain: it had now been assimilated by his own spiritual light—or rather, the mysterious space. Even if the original owner came knocking later, the chat group would react not at all.

Chat Group: Don't contact me anymore—I'm afraid Wu Xian will misunderstand. JPG

Imagining the scene, Wu Xian chuckled, then grew serious again, discussing with the group the renovation of Zhan Lan's private room.

Naturally, everyone approved.

After all, everyone was rational—they understood that the upgraded private room benefited everyone, with no reason to refuse.

"Alright, it's decided."

Wu Xian clapped his hands and smiled. "But no rush—go rest tonight. We'll discuss the details tomorrow."

With that, Wu Xian appeared beside Zhan Lan and Zhao Yingkong, wrapping both arms around them, and walked toward his room amid the envious stares of Zheng Zha and the disgusted glares of the others.

And then… there was nothing more.

At midnight, after finishing a batch of cream puffs, Wu Xian lay on his bedroom bed, hugging the exhausted beauties whose toes had gone numb, smiling like a man who had just won the jackpot.

Suddenly, overwhelming drowsiness struck—he blinked, his eyelids fluttered, and soon he slipped into sleep.
