Chapter 28: Together, They Can
Its body, from head to tail, stretched nearly five meters, with a height approaching three meters.
Its pitch-black form glowed with a cold, metallic sheen under the light, while its perfect yet grotesque body contours revealed a chaotic yet powerful beauty.
On its flattened, mushroom-like head, there were no facial features—only a fearsome mouth bristling with sharp teeth. Below it, two slender, out-of-place claws, caked with fresh meat scraps, dangled uselessly.
Finally, there was the spear-like tail, now piercing through the gangster’s chest, swinging him like a toy in midair, leaving the other two gangsters frozen with terror, unaware their pants were soaked.
“Bang————!!!”
Unexpectedly, the first to strike was not Wu Xian, nor Zhan Lan, who had already mastered telekinesis—but the silent assassin, Zero.
A flash of fire erupted as a 12.7mm bullet shot from the Barrett’s barrel, traveling faster than the eye could follow, straight toward the alien’s head.
Yet perhaps due to its battle instinct being too sharp, at the very instant the bullet was about to strike, the alien somehow shifted slightly sideways, avoiding its head being blown to pulp—but at the cost of its entire left arm being blown off.
“Roar roar roar————”
With a shriek, the alien hurled the impaled gangster away, then charged forward itself, raising its remaining claw, ready to brutally kill the insect that dared harm it.
But by then, Zhan Lan had reacted—she unleashed invisible telekinesis, halting the gangster’s corpse, then swung it violently into the alien’s face.
Taking advantage of its stunned moment, she immediately fired her Gauss pistol.
High-intensity bullets, streaking like lasers with blue arcs, struck repeatedly against the dead gangster and the alien, reducing them both to piles of shredded flesh in an instant.
Blood mixed with yellow-green, acid-like fluid splattered everywhere, sizzling against the metal walls and floor, releasing a pungent, foul odor.
A sudden crash came from behind—the ventilation duct had been violently torn open, and another, slightly smaller alien emerged, crawling slowly along the ceiling.
Zero spun around, aiming the Barrett at the alien, but did not fire. Zhan Lan remained still, her cold gaze fixed deeper into the corridor’s bend.
This wasn’t just due to Friday’s warning—her telepathy also “saw” a greater threat lurking there.
As expected, seconds later, the sound of grinding metal echoed from the darkness—two more aliens appeared.
Surrounded on all sides, even if they perfectly replicated the previous move, they could kill only one alien in an instant—while the other two would certainly not stand idle, but launch their most vicious attacks without hesitation.
“Still not going to act?”
Chu Xuan adjusted his glasses, looking at Wu Xian, who had watched coldly from the sidelines, speaking in his usual calm tone: “From that man’s address, you must be the captain of the Zhongzhou team—I assume your strength ranks among the top in the group.”
“If you can’t eliminate both aliens at once, I suggest using these two worthless individuals as bait to create an opening for attack.”
Upon hearing this, the two gangsters who had urinated themselves froze, then realized “worthless individuals” referred to them—they glared at Chu Xuan with fury, wishing to tear out his tongue.
“First, the Main God has rules: Lunhuizhe cannot kill each other, or they lose reward points. So unless they commit unforgivable acts during the mission, I generally won’t take their lives.”
As he spoke, Wu Xian suppressed the two gangsters with mental force, then smirked at Chu Xuan: “Second, you seem to have misunderstood something.”
“What?”
Chu Xuan asked in return, a flash of white light glinting again across his flat lenses.
“My strength isn’t just top-two in the Zhongzhou team—everyone else in the Zhongzhou team combined can’t even match one hand of mine.”
With that, Wu Xian snapped his fingers.
Instantly, countless silver-white lights materialized around him—upon closer look, they were miniature blades, each finger-length long, now dancing wildly through the corridor under invisible control.
A chorus of identical growls erupted—the three aliens, moments ago searching for an opening, froze rigid the instant the blade storm appeared, then turned and fled as if encountering their natural predator.
The one crawling on the ceiling scrambled like a gecko, the scene instantly becoming absurd.
But their speed was too slow—three streaks of silver light shot forth, and from the hidden darkness came the thuds of heavy bodies hitting the ground.
【Killed Warrior Alien: +500 reward points】

【Killed Warrior Alien: +500 reward points】
……
The Main God’s kill notification echoed in his ears, making Wu Xian’s eyes narrow with a faint smile.
Whether the next mission was “Ju-On” or a team battle, this unrestricted point-grinding felt deeply satisfying.
According to Friday, at least fifty more aliens remained aboard this ship—even if evenly split with Zheng Zha and the others, he’d still earn at least 5,000 reward points.
For Wu Xian, this was merely waving his hand a few more times—roughly speaking, it was as good as free money.
“Wait, this is too generous. Could there be a trap?”
Wu Xian wasn’t prone to overthinking—but the Main God’s nature was exactly this.
The Main God never assigned missions guaranteed to kill, but it never spared the Lunhuizhe from endless complications.
Even point-grinding couldn’t be truly effortless, especially after a high-score horror film.
“Captain! Captain!”
At that moment, Zheng Zha’s voice came through Friday’s team comms.
Wu Xian’s heart jolted—he thought the Main God had begun acting—but kept his tone steady: “What’s wrong? Are you in trouble?”
“Not at all. We encountered two aliens, but the three of us took them down quickly.”
In another corridor, Zheng Zha pulled his metal great-axe from the alien’s skull, sounding triumphant, then glanced at the half-dead Mediterranean man in the cabin, whispering:
“But I met a synthetic human—probably the one from the movie. I spoke to him, and the Main God notified me I triggered a side quest: investigate the cause of the ship’s anomaly.”
“Oh! You’ve already found a side quest?”
Wu Xian raised an eyebrow and checked his Main God wristwatch—sure enough, a new message appeared.
【Side Quest: Discover the cause of the Nostromo’s anomaly. Reward: C-class side quest, 1500 reward points】
“Good job. When we return, two extra hours of training—consider it your reward.”
Ignoring Zheng Zha’s grumpy expression on the other end, Wu Xian’s face turned grim.
As he suspected—the ship was definitely Youwenti !
Thinking of this, Wu Xian waved his hand—three silver blade storms instantly returned, then merged under his will into a single silver-white rod, two meters long and five centimeters thick—Hun Tian Yan.
“Let’s go.”
He spun the rod casually over his shoulder and addressed the group: “Pay attention—I’m accelerating now. Anyone who can’t keep up, I won’t wait.”
