Chapter 91: Three Strikes Against Kayako (Requesting Monthly Tickets

~6 min read 1,158 words

"Worthless is worthless—alive, he’s trash; dead, he’s even worse. If I were your wife, I’d pile a truckload of green hats on you!"

Five minutes later, Wu Xian, still hurling insults to provoke the unseen Kayako, walked up to Saeki Takeshi, whose limbs were all severed, leaving only his torso and three heads.

With a thud, he raised his right foot and stomped down on one of the heads, grinding it hard twice, wondering whether he should eat this thing and seize the Asura Path’s authority as well.

Yet Wu Xian failed to notice that within Saeki Takeshi’s six eyes, besides endless jealousy and hatred, lurked a glint of cunning!

Without warning, a crushing pressure descended from the sky, locking all surrounding space into a solid mass—even Wu Xian felt his body stiffen, unable to move an inch.

At that moment, Saeki Takeshi’s body beneath his feet began to swell, carrying with it the thousands of malevolent spirits absorbed during its cultivation, launching its final self-explosion against Wu Xian, frozen in place.

BOOM—!!!!!

A white column of light, a hundred meters high, surged upward, forming a mushroom-like shape, then unleashed a shockwave rivaling a small nuclear bomb, obliterating everything within several kilometers, leaving behind a colossal crater.

Such an explosion was too much even for ordinary Primordial Chaos Stage Four cultivators to endure head-on—they could only flee at high speed to escape the blast radius.

To take a direct hit would leave one either dead or gravely wounded.

So… where was Wu Xian?

"Whoosh—!!!!"

A violent hurricane suddenly erupted, sweeping away all smoke and debris from the explosion.

Immediately after, a smoldering figure leapt out of the crater—it was Wu Xian, utterly unharmed.

The explosion of thousands of malevolent spirits was indeed terrifying, even carrying effects that damaged the soul’s origin.

But thanks to Chu Xuan and his joint modifications, the Black God Armor’s surface was now inscribed with countless defensive runes, especially against soul and mental attacks—every sect’s techniques were represented.

Even if the number of spirits doubled, it would be nearly impossible to pierce these runes.

Once the soul-damage threat was neutralized, only physical impact remained.

Fortunately, the Black God Armor inherently negated 90% of damage, and Wu Xian had mastered Reverse Life Second Stage, allowing him to briefly transform his qi into ethereal form with astonishing recovery—so the remaining 10% was negligible.

Thus, in direct combat, unless Wu Xian stood still and let a cultivator of Primordial Chaos Stage Four or higher continuously strike him,

it was truly difficult to inflict serious harm upon him under normal circumstances.

"That fireworks display was quite nice… So, beautiful Madame Kayako, do you have any other tricks up your sleeve?"

Wu Xian brushed ash off his black armor and smiled across several kilometers to Kayako, protected by her horde of malevolent spirits: "If not, then this game of hide-and-seek can end now!"

Hearing this, Kayako’s pale body trembled slightly; for the first time, fear and panic flickered in her bloodshot, venomous eyes.

For years, ever since she fused with the demonic spirit within her, discovered her mother’s family seal, and devoured fragments of the Yellow Springs’ authority to grow stronger, she had not felt this fear again.

It was greater than the terror she’d felt when Saeki Takeshi tortured and killed her, when the demonic spirit nearly consumed her!

"Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!"

A scream pierced the air as torrents of Yellow Springs miasma erupted from the ground around her, completely engulfing the area before rapidly sinking downward.

Yes, Kayako was fleeing—she would hide herself, even if it meant undoing all her efforts to break the seal, but she would never let that monster come near her!!

"Think you can run?"

Wu Xian sneered, raising the Heaven-Transforming Rod, his body flashing forward with a series of sonic booms as he charged straight into the swirling miasma.

"Did you ask me if you could?!!!!"

Flames of gold and crimson energy blazed around him as he spun three times midair, then brought the rod down with unstoppable might!

BOOM!!!!

Wu Xian shattered the Yellow Springs miasma’s defense and stormed inside, determined to press his advantage and crush Kayako, this wicked female ghost, beneath his staff!

But the instant his feet touched the ground, the scenery abruptly changed.

Tatami mats, shoji screens, a traditional Japanese house… everything was identical to the scene when the Zhongzhou team first entered the Ju-On world five days ago.

Gripping his silver-white staff, Wu Xian slowed to a stop, his brow slightly furrowed.

"An illusion? Hmph. Pathetic trickery—you’re truly out of options."

Saying this, Wu Xian squinted toward a slender figure standing in the corridor outside the door.

It was a girl, about ten years old, wearing a loose white dress, sitting alone on the wooden corridor, staring blankly into the courtyard, her long black hair obscuring her face, radiating an eerie gloom.

"Meow…"

At that moment, a black cat leapt from nowhere onto the girl’s lap, nuzzling her cheek with its cute little face, as if seeking affection.

"Kuro-chan!"

The girl’s voice sounded slightly joyful; she immediately hugged the black cat close, stroking its smooth fur, then whispered in a pitiful, helpless tone:

"Daddy and mommy won’t be home tonight again!"

The vast mansion held only the girl, stroking her black cat, waiting silently through the long night, steeped in loneliness.

"How pitiful…"

Watching this, Wu Xian sighed, his voice filled with pity.

The girl seemed to hear his voice—her body trembled slightly, then she turned her head timidly…

BANG—!!!!

The staff came down, the girl’s head exploding like a watermelon, followed by the cat’s piercing shriek.

The scene shifted again.

This time, it was a university classroom.

A beautiful girl with long black hair and a gloomy aura sat quietly at her desk.

Her dark, glossy eyes stared fixedly at the back of a handsome boy as he laughed and chatted with his friends.

At that moment, the boy seemed to sense her gaze, turned around, and smiled at her in greeting.

But due to shyness, the girl dared not respond—she lowered her head like a startled rabbit, hiding her blushing face beneath her thick black hair.

Only after the boy turned back did she secretly pull out a notebook from under her desk and scribble something with a fountain pen.

Since it was in Japanese, Wu Xian couldn’t read it, but according to the movie’s premise, its contents were almost certainly drenched in the sour stench of unrequited love.

"So, lickspittles never get good endings—whether man or woman, it’s the same."

Wu Xian shook his head and raised his staff again, bringing it down toward Kayako’s head as the girl.

And again, the cat’s piercing scream echoed…
