Chapter 26: I don't believe it!
Ron felt like he had punched cotton. Helpless, he could only turn to complain to Harry.
"Hey, why is your friend so strange? Is this the time to study?" Ron sat in his seat and shook his head, "When we get to school, there will be plenty of time to study."
"Yang likes reading, there's nothing wrong with that." Harry grabbed a Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Bean and threw it into his mouth, and his face changed immediately.
Ron curiously took a bean of the same color and put it in his mouth, then said with a bitter face: "Earwax flavor, really annoying!"
The two chatted about future school life while eating snacks.
"Finally found you!" The girl pointed at Chu Yang excitedly, as if she had found a treasure she had been looking for for a long time! Ron and Harry looked at Chu Yang in confusion.
The girl's voice was very loud, startling Chu Yang from his reading. He pointed to himself, "Me?"
"Yes, that's you!" The girl sat down next to Chu Yang and asked impatiently: "What magic did you use in the wand shop?"
Chu Yang said helplessly: "That's not magic, I just waved the wand according to Mr. Ollivander's instructions!"
The girl showed an incredible expression, then shook her head and said: "Impossible, how could simple magic power cause such a terrible effect!"
"Then I don't know, I'm just a freshman like you." Chu Yang explained casually, then lowered his head and continued to read.
"Hey! Can you tell me what happened!" Ron looked at the two with itchy heart, just like a big mother who loves to gossip.
Harry also looked curious.
So the girl told them what happened in the wand shop before.
After hearing this, Ron and Harry also showed expressions similar to the girl, looking at Chu Yang in amazement.
"By the way! I haven't introduced myself yet, my name is Hermione Granger, you can just call me Hermione." Hermione introduced herself generously.
Ron and Harry were also introducing themselves, but when it came to Chu Yang, there was no sound. Hermione turned her head and found that he was lowering his head to read books.
"Here we go again!" Ron rolled his eyes speechlessly, "Buddy, I'm serious, there's no point in pretending for us, we're all classmates."
Harry pulled Ron's sleeve and whispered: "Ron, don't say that..."
Ron laughed angrily and asked back: "Look at the way he flips through the book, does it look like he's studying properly?"
Harry hesitated for a moment.
He really hadn't seen anyone read a book like Chu Yang.
Hermione stood beside Chu Yang, tilted her head to look at the cover of the book, and read casually: "Practical Defense Against the Dark Arts?"
"This book doesn't seem to be a first-year textbook." Hermione frowned. She clearly remembered that the only textbook related to dark magic was called "Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection" (Defense Against the Dark Arts).
She had read that book thoroughly, and it was obviously not the same book as the one in Chu Yang's hand!
A thought flashed through Hermione's mind instantly.
This is not a first-year textbook, but a senior textbook!
Hermione snatched the book from Chu Yang's hand and read it carefully.
"Your behavior is really unpleasant, Miss Granger!" Chu Yang frowned: "Whether as a wizard or an ordinary person, you should maintain the most basic politeness."
Hermione stiffly returned the book to Chu Yang and said unconvinced: "This book is much more profound and obscure than 'Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection'. Can you understand it?" Chu Yang said indifferently: "As long as you finish reading 'Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection', then reading this book will not be very difficult."
Hermione choked when she heard this, and turned red from her ear roots to her neck! As someone who had completely memorized "Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection", this sentence sounded like Chu Yang was saying she was stupid! Hermione shouted loudly: "Partiality is a very bad thing for wizards! It's useless for you to only read about dark magic! What's more important is 'Magic Theory', that's the foundation!"
Hermione's loud voice made Chu Yang's head ache, so he impatiently recited the content of the first page of "Magic Theory" to block Hermione's mouth.
Sure enough, after hearing Chu Yang's recitation, Hermione's voice stopped abruptly. She looked at Chu Yang in disbelief, "I don't believe it unless you memorize it all."
Then Chu Yang really memorized the whole book! Seeing Hermione still unconvinced, Chu Yang calmly recited the first chapter of the other textbooks one by one.
Every time Chu Yang finished reciting a chapter, Hermione's expression would become excited.
"Your parents must have given you lessons in advance, letting you learn this knowledge early so that you can perform better at school." Hermione was indignant. If she had such a family, she would only learn faster than Chu Yang!
Chu Yang closed the book and said slowly: "I did read these books in advance, but it was after I got the admission letter, and I studied by myself at the Leaky Cauldron for a month. No one gave me any lessons."
"Self-taught to this extent in just one month?" Hermione shook her head firmly, "I don't believe it, it must be your parents who taught you!"
Harry couldn't listen anymore, stood up and shouted: "Enough! Both Yang and I are orphans, we don't have parents, and no one taught us these things!"
"Orphans?" Hermione looked at Harry blankly. After coming back to her senses, she covered her mouth, full of regret in her eyes!
For those from an orphanage, the greatest pain is mentioning their parents! "I'm sorry, I... I didn't mean it, I didn't know you were..." Hermione apologized to Chu Yang in a panic, her voice even with a hint of crying, which was a sincere apology from the heart.
This atmosphere is what Chu Yang least wants to see! Can't you just sit quietly and go to Hogwarts?
Chu Yang sighed and tried to squeeze out a smile, "Miss Granger, actually I don't care about my status as an orphan. Although the orphanage I came from is small and old, the people there are very kind."
"Dean Anna celebrates birthdays for the children in the orphanage every year, telling us that even if our parents are not around, someone will love me well for them."
"I grew up in a very good environment, and I will not feel ashamed or inferior because of my background."
"Yes, yes, I know." Hermione nodded repeatedly, still full of apologies. She felt that Chu Yang was pretending to be calm, and the more calm he looked, the sadder she felt.
Even Ron stood up and began to apologize for his attitude. For a while, the snacks in his hands didn't taste good.
The kind-hearted two stood in front of Chu Yang and apologized constantly, and the atmosphere in the compartment became more and more heavy.
Oh my god!
What are you doing? I just want you to be quiet and let me read!
Is it necessary?
Helpless, Chu Yang grabbed the snacks at hand, stuffed them into Hermione and Ron's mouths, and said viciously: "Eat them all! I will forgive you after you finish eating, which is a punishment for you."
The two ate without saying a word.
The compartment was quiet immediately, Chu Yang smiled with satisfaction, and continued to lower his head to read.
Harry looked blank.
Is there such a way to punish people in the world?
