Chapter 38: Chu Yang VS Snape
Hermione suddenly pulled Chu Yang's sleeve and asked in a low voice, "Can you tell me what's going on? I don't believe so many people would stay in the common room all night. What for?"
"I heard that the Slytherin common room is at the bottom of the Black Lake, dark and cold. What's fun about it?"
Hermione's thinking was more adult-oriented. In fact, even Professor McGonagall didn't quite believe this statement, so she went to the infirmary as soon as class ended, and visited Malfoy by the way.
Chu Yang was too lazy to make up any reason. Anyway, the fact that he beat people up couldn't be hidden for long.
Those people were just knocked unconscious by him, not amnesiac.
Chu Yang simply said it all, "They blocked me at the dormitory door last night, saying I wasn't pure-blood and didn't deserve to stay in Slytherin, and intended to make things difficult for me. I was tired and sleepy at that time and just wanted to sleep. I didn't have time to play with them, so I could only invite them all out."
Hearing this, Hermione paused, opened her mouth wide, and looked at Chu Yang in shock, asking, "The 'invite' you mentioned... is it the word we usually use?"
Chu Yang thought about it and shook his head, "There is a slight difference."
"I'm afraid it's more than a slight difference, right?" Hermione took a deep breath, feeling the temperature around her suddenly drop a few degrees, and asked, "Beating up classmates will be held accountable by the school. Aren't you afraid?"
"How can one person beat up so many people? It's more like they beat me up. I was just defending myself." Chu Yang rolled his eyes and spread his hands helplessly, "Do you expect me to stand there and let them bully me?"
"That's true. It was clearly them who started it!" Hermione, thinking of Chu Yang being excluded by other Slytherin freshmen because he wasn't pure-blood, felt the same way and couldn't help but feel indignant.
The two chatted about what happened last night and walked into the classroom.
"Isn't Hermione from our Gryffindor? Why does she always hang around Chu Yang!" Ron looked at Hermione and Chu Yang chatting happily and suddenly felt uncomfortable.
"Everyone is a classmate, there's no need to be so divided, right? And they should have more common language. After all, both of them are very smart and knowledgeable." Harry replied to Ron as a matter of course, not feeling there was any problem at all.
With the experience of the Transfiguration class just now, the freshmen sat in their seats quickly after entering the classroom, fearing they would be reprimanded by Professor Snape.
Compared to Professor McGonagall's seriousness and meticulousness, Professor Snape felt very terrifying, dark and horrific. It always felt like whoever offended him would suffer a very miserable punishment.
After the students were seated, Professor Snape walked in from outside the classroom.
He walked with the wind, blowing his robes to dance with the wind.
He might think he was handsome, but Chu Yang felt he looked like a big moth the moment he entered the door...
"This class doesn't require you to wave your wands foolishly, nor does it require you to chant spells blindly. I don't think many of you know how to appreciate the profound science and precise craft of potion-making."
Professor Snape leaned on the podium, not hiding the indifference on his face. Just as he was about to continue, his eyes swept over and he found that many students were missing.
"This doesn't seem to be the first class of the morning, right? Why are so many people late?" Professor Snape looked at the empty seats, his voice full of anger, "And they are Slytherin students?!"
Professor Snape slapped the podium heavily with a "thud," making everyone's heart shake.
Just at this time, a knock on the door suddenly sounded outside.
Professor Snape, who was about to continue scolding the students, frowned. Anyone would be uncomfortable if their speech was interrupted.
Professor Snape straightened his clothes and walked to the door like the wind. He opened the classroom door, and Professor McGonagall, who had returned from the infirmary, stood outside. Professor McGonagall first looked into the classroom, showed a helpless expression after seeing Chu Yang, and then signaled Professor Snape to come out and talk.
Listening to Professor McGonagall's account of the ins and outs of the Slytherin freshmen's absence, Snape was first a little dazed, then fell into silence.
The students whispered, discussing why Professor McGonagall called Snape, who was teaching, out.
This age is the age when people are very curious about everything.
About 5 minutes later, Professor Snape returned to the classroom with a strange expression on his face.
He didn't walk toward the podium, but walked straight to Chu Yang and looked at him coldly.
"Mr. Chu Yang, can you tell me how you used a pair of fists to make several dormitories of classmates unable to attend class the next day?"
"I am really curious, but don't tell me that you, who came from an orphanage, also know Eastern kung fu. That would be too ridiculous!"
Snape mocked Chu Yang without any scruples, and his words had already caused an uproar in the classroom!
The Slytherin students couldn't attend class because they were beaten by Chu Yang! For a time, the voices were loud! Harry and Ron were so surprised that their mouths couldn't close. Looking at Chu Yang, their eyes were full of admiration. Good heavens, were so many people actually knocked down by him alone?
Yesterday, Ron was still telling Harry that if a non-pure-blood wizard like Chu Yang went to Slytherin, the outcome would definitely not be good.
Harry was also very worried about Chu Yang's situation.
Seeing Chu Yang safe and sound this morning, he breathed a sigh of relief.
As one of the only two orphans in the first year, if something happened to Chu Yang, Harry couldn't help but feel a sense of sympathy.
Among the three major point-deduction figures, the calmest was Hermione, who had already learned the truth from Chu Yang, but she was still very worried about Chu Yang. After all, Professor Snape looked very angry.
Chu Yang stood up and replied calmly, "Professor Snape, I don't know kung fu, but as you said, I came from an orphanage. The geographical environment there is not good, and fighting is a compulsory course for every child."
"Also, forgive me for being blunt, a wizard who doesn't have a wand and can't cast spells is no better than a Muggle..."
Chu Yang's comparison of Muggles and wizards directly angered Snape.
He stepped forward quickly, almost face-to-face with Chu Yang.
"You made a big mistake, Mr. Chu Yang!"
Snape stared at Chu Yang fiercely and scolded loudly, "Don't think you can solve everything with your fists. It works now, but what about two or three months later? When those freshmen you bullied pick up their wands and learn spells, how will you deal with it? Still with your fists?"
Snape and Chu Yang's tit-for-tat made the already cold dungeon even more unbearable. The freshmen looked at the two in fear, not daring to breathe.
