Chapter 255: In Great Song, Itachi
I think this spectacle can't be missed.
So I plan to take Azi to Guangming Peak to join the commotion.
Maybe I can even save a few virtuous maidens from the orthodox sects.
Demon sect demonesses are fine too.
Upon hearing this, everyone instantly became interested.
Flying Swallow Luo Jie scoffed: “Itachi’re stealing Zhang Wuji’s main quest.”
Marvel Luo Jie nodded in agreement: “That’s exactly right.”
“Itachi’re a man who comes with the protagonist’s aura.”
“This isn’t just freeloaded plot—this is tearing up their script and writing your own.”
Combined Martial Arts Luo Jie rolled his eyes:
“Am I really that extreme?”
“I don’t have a Wudang father, a Ming Cult mother, an Emei childhood sweetheart, or a Mongol princess chasing after me.”
“How am I stealing anyone’s spotlight?”
“But.”
Combined Martial Arts Luo Jie paused, a meaning-laden glint flashing in his eyes.
“I could still snatch a few women.”
Zombie Luo Jie asked: “For example?”
Combined Martial Arts Luo Jie cleared his throat, speaking casually: “For instance, the Emei maiden, or the Mongol princess.”
Marvel Luo Jie teased with a smile: “Let the Mongol princess see what a Great Song man’s strength really is.”
Combined Martial Arts Luo Jie glanced at him and corrected:
“I’m from Dali.”
Flying Swallow Luo Jie burst out laughing: “Itachi even distinguish nationalities?”
“The map’s a mess.”
Combined Martial Arts Luo Jie retorted: “I’m not like some people—who are Great Song people in Great Song, and Dali people in Dali.”
“But I could learn from a certain elder and establish a new dynasty.”
Marvel Luo Jie corrected: “Your elder was going backward, not truly time-traveling.”
“Besides, a new dynasty won’t match the Ming.”
Combined Martial Arts Luo Jie grumbled: “So what’s wrong with going backward?”
“We P She players love going backward—the more backward, the stronger.”
“In my Combined Martial Arts world, there was a Ming—but it’s long gone.”
“Then heroes rose up in rivalry, and Great Song, Tartar Qing, Jin, and Khitan emerged.”
Zombie Luo Jie couldn’t hold back: “All these worlds are mixed-up—yours is especially chaotic.”
…
In the Combined Martial Arts world, in a vast, endless desert.
Yellow sand filled the sky, winds swept through the clouds, heaven and earth were a vast, boundless expanse.
Luo Jie slowly opened his eyes, stretched, and loosened his limbs.
He looked up at the sky.
In the distance, a red sun rose slowly, painting the entire desert golden.
Luo Jie turned his head and saw a girl lying beside him, wrapped in a cloak, fast asleep, her face flushed, a trail of drool at the corner of her mouth.
The girl wore purple robes, her figure graceful, her skin fair, her features beautiful; though her eyes were closed, her lashes trembled slightly.
It was Azi.
Luo Jie lifted his foot and kicked her buttock:
“Stop sleeping—the sun’s shining on your butt.”
Azi groaned a few times, rolled over, and mumbled:
“Why are Itachi yelling so early? Can’t a person sleep?”
Luo Jie smiled and shook his head: “Itachi used to sleep until noon in the Star Sect too?”
“Didn’t Ding Chunqiu feed Itachi poison insects?”
Azi sat up instantly, rubbed her eyes, and sneered:
“What a joke—I’m afraid of Old Man Ding?”
“Besides, I’m one of his most favored disciples.”
Luo Jie raised an eyebrow: “One of them?”
“So there’s more than one?”
Azi nodded confidently: “So what?”
“I’m still the senior disciple of the Star Sect.”
Luo Jie chuckled: “The senior disciple who stole the sect’s treasured artifact?”
Azi glared at Luo Jie and huffed angrily:
“Itachi don’t understand.”
“In the Star Sect, who doesn’t shout ‘Long live the Master’ while preparing to stab him in the back?”
“If I didn’t flatter to survive, I’d be dead already.”
Luo Jie nodded seriously: “Good, good—it seems the Star Sect taught Itachi well.”
“So from today on, Itachi’ll flatter me every day.”
Azi blinked: “Huh? Why?”
Luo Jie pointed at himself, tone matter-of-fact:
“Because I caught Itachi.”
“And I’m your brother-in-law.”
Azi sneered: “Itachi say I’m from the Dali Duan family—who knows if it’s true?”
“Even if it is, I’m a Dali princess!”
“How dare Itachi, a lowly imperial son-in-law, command me?”
Luo Jie smiled, retorting calmly:
“Itachi haven’t even been granted the title of princess yet.”
“Even the King of Dali treats me with utmost respect.”
Azi snorted: “Liar—I don’t believe Itachi.”
Luo Jie flicked her forehead.
“Ow!!”
Azi jumped back, clutching her forehead.
“Why did Itachi hit me?”
Luo Jie shrugged: “To pack your things.”
Azi grumpily packed her belongings, muttering: “When I get the chance, I’ll make Itachi pay.”
After finishing her packing, she chewed on dried rations and asked casually:
“By the way, the Six Sects gathered at Guangming Peak to crush the Ming Cult.”
“Why are Itachi, from some tiny sect, going to join the commotion?”
Luo Jie smiled: “Look down on the Wuliang Sword Sect?”
“Do Itachi think the Wuliang Sword Sect is still that little sect hiding in the Yunnan ravine, practicing swords?”
“Now we’re a major sect renowned throughout the Central Plains.”
Azi mocked: “Are Itachi serious?”
“I’ve never heard of the Wuliang Sword Sect.”
Luo Jie nodded: “That’s normal.”
“Because your Star Sect is too obscure.”
“Disciples from small-town sects lack exposure—it’s only natural.”
Azi glared at him defiantly: “That’s regional discrimination.”
Luo Jie waved his hand: “It’s not discrimination—it’s fact.”
“Finish eating and let’s go.”
Azi bit into her dried ration and frowned: “Aren’t Itachi eating anything?”
Luo Jie smiled faintly: “I cultivate the Dao—I’ve long since transcended the need for food.”
Azi eyed him skeptically: “Liar.”
“Old Man Ding said he cultivates the Dao too—but he’s just putting on a show.”
Luo Jie raised an eyebrow: “Itachi’re comparing me to Ding Chunqiu?”
“And Itachi think I’m lying?”
Azi nodded seriously: “I think Itachi’re full of shit.”
Luo Jie sighed, speaking with solemn gravity: “Indeed—disciples from the Star Sect have no basic manners at all.”
“Itachi’d better get ready to return to Dali; I’m going to hire Itachi several etiquette tutors.”
“Start with how to speak less elegantly.”
Azi retorted defiantly: “At least that’s better than being a fraud who pretends to be a spirit medium.”
Rojie Landezhengbian : “Itachi don’t understand the cultivation realms of cultivators.”
“Enough, we should set off.”
Hearing this, Azi obediently slung her baggage over her back and trudged after him, muttering under her breath:
“I’ll see how long Itachi can go without eating.”
Not long after they set out, a group of riders appeared on a nearby dune.
