Chapter 33: Itachi Damn Laid-Back Slacker, I

~6 min read 1,127 words

The Gray Mist Hall.

In the center of the hall stood a round table, its surrounding chairs empty.

In one corner of the hall, four Rojie sat together, boasting and chatting idly.

“Didn’t Huang Mao and Nai Long show up?”

The Hokage Rojie, the last to arrive, scanned the room and asked.

“That’s right.”

The Young Hero Rojie leaned lazily against the wall, looking utterly relaxed.

Like he’d entered Sage Mode.

He was practically a saint.

Hearing this, the Hokage Rojie said nothing more—he simply tapped the Young Hero Rojie and shared his memories.

Damn, just as I thought.

That despicable, shameless Cannon King of Wu Liang Mountain dared lay hands on the Princess of Dali.

Now, aside from the extra Ge Guangpei, even Mu Wanqing has fallen victim to him.

How enviable… so lowly.

“Hey, Itachi’ve already left Wu Liang Mountain?”

The Hokage Rojie, mid-binge-watching, suddenly noticed the battle location had changed—it was now the Dali Imperial Palace!

Having fun right under his father-in-law’s nose.

No wonder it’s me.

“That’s right—the future Martial Arts Alliance Leader is about to step onto his own Jianghu!”

The Young Hero Rojie stretched lazily and replied smugly, as if he’d already seen himself dominating the martial world and taking all the Jin Shu beauties into his harem.

The Hokage Rojie merely sneered.

So the Cannon King of Wu Liang Mountain is finally going to strike the Jianghu?

Sigh, how envious.

On the other side, the Pirate Rojie was chatting with the Student Rojie.

Probably having finished the series, their conversation was surprisingly serious.

“Why hasn’t the Holy Grail War started yet?”

The Pirate Rojie asked curiously.

The student Rojie shrugged helplessly and spread his hands: “How would I know? I’m just an ordinary citizen of Tōmiki.”

He paused, then added: “But it should be soon—I already have the premonition marks on my hand.”

“Besides, Miss Legwannian from the next class has already taken leave.”

Upon hearing this, the Hokage Rojie and the Young Hero Rojie immediately stopped talking and surrounded him.

It wasn’t because they heard news about Pump Princess.

They were just concerned about the Holy Grail War.

The Hokage Rojie spoke first: “Do Itachi have the qualification to become a Master?”

He stared at the Student Rojie, baffled.

“Wait, aren’t Itachi just an ordinary citizen of Tōmiki? Itachi have no Magic Circuits—how could Itachi qualify as a Master?”

“In short—Itachi’re not worthy!”

The student Rojie snorted: “Ordinary citizen of Tōmiki?”

“Wrong—I’m a Super Citizen of Tōmiki.”

“Besides, in the Fourth Holy Grail War, Uryū Ryūnojirō was just an ordinary man too—he didn’t even know the Grail existed at first, and he was worse than me.”

The young hero Rojie couldn’t help laughing: “Super Citizen of Tōmiki?”

“More like Super True Newbie.”

The Hokage Rojie had no patience for jokes.

He pressed on: “Don’t dodge. Ryūnojirō may have been ordinary, but the Uryū family had a lineage of magicians—they were old-school Zhengmo of Tōmiki.”

“What about Itachi? What’s your story?”

Saying this, the Hokage Rojie grabbed the Student Rojie and shared his memories.

“Wait, Itachi’ve got Magic Circuits now?”

After scanning the memories, the Hokage Rojie exclaimed in surprise.

The Student Rojie grinned: “Is it that surprising I have Magic Circuits?”

Sensing the hostile glares from the other three, he cleared his throat.

“Fine, I don’t really know—I suppose after sharing power, my body somehow gained Magic Circuits.”

“Honestly, I have no idea how it happened—I lack the knowledge.”

Hearing this, the Hokage Rojie shook his head in disappointment.

“Tch, what a waste.”

After all, the Student Rojie was utterly ignorant when it came to magic.

Like a bag of Lay’s chips—officially full, but in reality, barely any inside.

Itachi had to judge by the actual contents.

No point demanding more.

Meanwhile, the Student Rojie was immersed in the Hokage Rojie’s memories.

Suddenly, he gasped in surprise:

“Hey, Third Elder sent Itachi to organize the Forbidden Scroll Repository?”

“What’s the difference between that and letting a monkey guard the Peach Garden?”

The Hokage Rojie immediately bristled.

He frowned and retorted: “Of course there’s a difference.”

“I’m the man destined to become the Fifth Hokage—these are all my belongings.”

“I’m just retrieving what’s mine ahead of time.”

The Student Rojie wore a dismissive expression, muttering: “Yeah, yeah, sure.”

“When Itachi’re ready to go big, let us know.”

Suddenly, the Student Rojie remembered something and asked: “By the way, the Leaf Village Destruction Plan is about to begin.”

“With your current strength, can Itachi handle it?”

The Hokage Rojie sneered dismissively.

He patted his chest confidently.

“Who are Itachi looking down on? I’m a Kage-level combatant!”

The Student Rojie burst out laughing.

“Kage-level combatant?”

“The gap between Kage-levels is bigger than the gap between a Jonin and a dog.”

“What kind of Kage are Itachi? Kage gatekeeper?”

At this, the Pirate Rojie and the Young Hero Rojie also laughed.

The entire hall filled with mirth.

The Hokage Rojie’s face flushed crimson.

He felt insulted by himself.

Could he let this slide?

Even if they were all him—he couldn’t!

So the Hokage Rojie roared: “Bold! Itachi lot, the trash I’ve carried along, shut up!”

“It’s all your fault for growing too slow—if Itachi’d leveled up faster, I’d have already kicked the Five Kage and punched the Sage of Six Paths, dragging down that still-stunning Kaguya Otsutsuki to use as a thermal weapon!”

The Student Rojie frowned slightly.

He tilted his head: “Are Itachi a thigh?”

“Isn’t the thigh Nai Long?”

His words triggered another round of laughter.

But the Young Hero Rojie’s expression turned serious.

He spoke solemnly: “Show some respect—call him Fire Dragon Lord. Nai Long? Itachi trash aren’t even worthy to say his name.”

“Next time Nai Long shows up, he might be the Fire Dragon Lord himself.”

After the teasing, the Hokage Rojie sighed faintly: “Though my strength isn’t top-tier among Kage, I still have Senjutsu—I can handle Shukaku easily.”

“If Itachi have time, help me research forbidden techniques. I spent days memorizing most of them.”

The Pirate Rojie paused, stunned.

“So that’s your plan.”

“Itachi’re using us as tools.”

“How shameless.”

“But since Itachi’re begging so humbly, we’ll reluctantly agree.”

The other two Rojie nodded along.

Hokage Rojie heard this and flew into a rage.

He charged forward, raising his fist to beat the pirate Rojie senseless.

"Itachi damn slacker, I've had enough of Itachi."

At that moment, a sudden cloud of gray mist rose in the hall.

All four stopped, their gazes snapping to the chair before the round table.

"That seat has yet to be occupied," said the pirate Rojie, stroking his chin.

"Newcomer!"

All four reacted at once, their faces lighting up with excitement.

Is the big thigh coming?
