Chapter 6: Shanfeng Yidashiqi, Uchiha Aoba

~5 min read 965 words

"Rojie, Lei Menyue, Anko Yagumo."

Hearing his name, Rojie’s gaze shifted slightly, glancing toward the other side of the classroom.

There, Yagumo was smiling directly at him.

"Yay!"

Learning she’d be placed in the same class as her crush, Yagumo felt unusually elated.

In her triumph, she shot a mocking glance at Ino, her eyes brimming with smugness.

Seeing this, Ino slumped completely, like an eggplant struck by frost, sighing endlessly.

She helplessly glanced at her two teammates.

One was slumped over his desk, pretending to sleep.

The other was devouring potato chips as if no one else existed.

Ino silently cursed inside.

The future looked utterly bleak.

Damn family traditions—utterly heinous!

Once I become clan head, I’ll eradicate this trash without mercy.

After class assignments ended, Iruka gestured for everyone to sit with their teammates.

Then he added, "Your sensei will arrive shortly."

"Stay quiet and wait patiently."

After giving a few more instructions, Iruka turned and left the classroom.

Moments later, Rojie sat in the center seat, with Anko Yagumo on his left and a bulky, slightly vacant-eyed boy on his right.

He studied the boy’s appearance closely.

He bore a faint resemblance to Asuma.

Could he be the Third’s illegitimate son?

Rojie thought with malicious amusement.

If the Third really managed to awaken a kekkei genkai, maybe he’d get lucky and father a younger uncle for Konohamaru.

Though they were classmates, Rojie wasn’t familiar with Lei Menyue.

But upon hearing the name Lei Menyue, Rojie immediately recalled the future chairman of the mighty Lei Men Corporation in Konoha.

Yet according to his memory, although Lei Menyue’s son, Lei Denki, was a peer of Uzumaki Boruto,

Lei Menyue should be considerably older than Uzumaki Naruto.

Still, in the Naruto world, age was riddled with bugs.

Rojie shook off his thoughts, smiled warmly, and addressed Lei Menyue: "Hello, I’m Rojie."

Anko Yagumo also greeted him, her tone indifferent: "I’m Anko Yagumo."

Lei Menyue, naturally shy, grew nervous facing his two teammates and whispered: "Hi, I’m Lei Menyue. My parents are merchants; I like studying machinery..."

His voice faded to near silence by the end.

To him, Rojie and Yagumo were both star students, the center of attention.

Rojie was as handsome as Sasuke Uchiha.

Anko Yagumo was the heiress of the Anko clan.

He, meanwhile, was just an invisible nobody in class, as if from another world entirely.

Rojie sensed Lei Menyue’s discomfort and smiled: "We’re not interrogators—Itachi don’t need to spill your whole life story."

Then he raised his hand, beaming: "Looking forward to working together."

Such a dazzling smile.

It warmed Lei Menyue’s heart, filling him with emotion.

Eeh, with teammates like this, I’d die content.

Soon, footsteps echoed outside the classroom.

A man appeared at the door.

He wore green sunglasses, a blue form-fitting combat suit, and over it, a green standard ANBU vest.

"Anko Yagumo, Rojie, Lei Menyue—follow me."

His voice was low, echoing through the room.

Rojie stared—and his heart stirred.

Oh? Isn’t this one of the three top toku-jō? Konoha’s ultimate utility man—wherever Itachi need someone moved, he’s there...

Shanfeng Yidashiqi, Uchiha Aoba!

I never expected my sensei would be him.

Rojie knew a bit about Uchiha Aoba.

Though only a special jōnin in the Intelligence Division, his strength was no joke.

Uchiha Aoba mastered mind-reading, summoning, binding techniques—well-rounded in ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu, a rare all-rounder.

Cheap version of the weasel, the jōnin’s workhorse.

But Aoba’s real strength wasn’t combat—he was more of a reliable utility tool, a model support ninja.

Still, his taijutsu was formidable.

He could hold his own against the ninety-year-old Kaku, neither gaining the upper hand.

Round it up—he could even spar with the God of Shinobi.

Moreover, he possessed the rare true Fire Release that could burn people alive.

It wiped clean the shame of Fire Release being called a "kind" technique.

He could also summon crows.

This trick made him more Uchiha than the Uchiha.

Calling him a mini Shisui Uchiha wouldn’t be wrong.

Uchiha Aoba’s strength represented the absolute ceiling of a normal civilian ninja.

Having such a sensei was already a good deal.

Looks like I didn’t overhype the Third.

But for Anko Yagumo, Aoba might be underqualified.

Though the Anko clan had declined, now just a minor family in Konoha,

Yagumo possessed a kekkei genkai.

At minimum, she deserved a jōnin sensei.

Perhaps her health issues diminished her perceived value.

Or maybe the village couldn’t spare more jōnin for sensei roles.

In pure strength, Aoba wasn’t far behind Kurenai, the jōnin gatekeeper.

He just lacked a Hokage son as a boyfriend.

The ninja academy’s training ground.

Uchiha Aoba walked slowly to a shady spot and squatted down.

"Since we’ll be working together, let’s start with introductions."

"Name, hobbies, dreams—say whatever Itachi like."

Aoba spoke with bored indifference.

Lei Menyue wanted to speak but hesitated, nerves holding him back.

Anko Yagumo turned her gaze to Rojie.

Rojie, meanwhile, was staring intently at Aoba.

Aoba sensed the awkward silence.

He looked up at the sky, sighed softly, and broke it.

"I’ll start. I’m Uchiha Aoba. Hobby: raising crows. Dream? Retire early and live in peace."

His voice dripped with the resentment of a tired worker—his ninja life had clearly worn him thin.

After speaking, Aoba turned his gaze to Rojie.

Rojie cleared his throat, gathered his thoughts, and said:

"I’m Rojie. Hobbies: cultivation and reading. As for my dream? I want to be a homemaker, living a quiet life."

Even with a cheat system now, Rojie’s ambitions hadn’t changed.

Rule the ninja world?

Too much trouble.

He just wanted to be a day-to-day guy, watching the show.

Aoba listened quietly, his eyes behind the sunglasses narrowing slightly, revealing faint approval.

Looks like another one of those types.
