Chapter 627: Luo Fu, the One Whom All the World Opposes!
In the Concealing Heaven universe, cultivators like Luo Fu, who have chosen to forge their own Dao, and those like Ye Hei, Pang Bo, and Hei Huang, who still walk the Concealing Heaven path, cannot mutually elevate each other unless they have reached the level of Dao Proclamation—truly standing above all, drawing wisdom from each other’s Dao from a higher dimension.
Otherwise, mutual cultivation and Dao discourse between them is utterly impossible.
Quite the opposite—they would instead inflict mutual harm.
This is evidenced by what happened after Luo Fu first forged the prototype of the Luo Tian Fa: Ye Hei, Pang Bo, and others could not even look directly at Luo Fu; merely glancing at him caused them physical discomfort.
Pang Bo suddenly recalled the strange, unsettling energy fluctuations emanating from Luo Fu back then.
A flash of insight struck his mind, and he blurted out: “Lao Luo, your… your Luo Tian Fa—could it be some kind of demonic cultivation path?”
Luo Fu chuckled in amusement. Though he had nearly been possessed, perhaps because he had received the Spirit Binding and Command Art from Luo Fu,
Pang Bo’s eccentric nature had not only returned to normal but had grown even more pronounced.
Pang Bo’s personality has always been eccentric; otherwise, back on the Burial Emperor Star, during the Mount Tai gathering, he wouldn’t have impulsively decided to surprise everyone—without even informing Ye Hei—and blindly charged up Mount Tai, accidentally stepping onto the journey of the Nine Dragons Pulling the Coffin.
“True cultivation has no such thing as orthodox or demonic,” Luo Fu smiled. “Itachi should have understood this long ago. Otherwise, by the standards of our Earth, Itachi—with your ancient demonic bloodline—would be nothing but a remnant of demonic clans.”
Pang Bo merely grinned; he had only made the joke because he felt melancholy at the impending separation.
After all, the many secrets Luo Fu had revealed about this universe had nearly shattered Pang Bo’s worldview.
But one thing Pang Bo had said was correct.
Though his remark about demonic cultivation had been a joke, Luo Fu—having forged his own Luo Tian Fa—is unquestionably an aberration in this universe; calling him a demonic cultivator is no exaggeration.
Don’t forget: even the Buddha Amitabha, because his cultivated Dao differed from the Concealing Heaven path and clashed with it in many ways,
Despite achieving Dao Proclamation as an Emperor, his Buddhist lineage remained firmly confined to the Western Desert.
Even though Amitabha’s Buddhist lineage, due to his Dao Proclamation, is technically considered a legitimate branch of the Concealing Heaven path, Buddhism is still regarded as an aberration—in factional divisions, Buddhist cultivators are even less accepted than the Ten Thousand Races.
And Luo Fu’s situation is even more difficult than Amitabha’s was before he achieved Dao Proclamation.
Amitabha’s Buddhist lineage, however aberrant, still operated within the framework of the Concealing Heaven path.
But Luo Fu’s Luo Tian Fa? It is a true, genuine re-forging of the furnace, an entirely independent school.
Unless Luo Fu truly achieves Dao Proclamation, he will remain an unwelcome aberration throughout the entire universe.
In a world where individual life holds immense power, principles are never spoken—they are fought for.
Even the compassionate Western Desert Buddhist sect survives and stands on equal footing with the Ten Thousand Races not because other cultivators truly believe in Amitabha’s compassion, but because Amitabha fought his way there.
Yes.
The Buddha Amitabha, known as the Buddha, truly conquered the entire world to solidify the foundation of the Western Desert Buddhist sect.
Clearly, the current Luo Fu cannot possibly possess the same power as Amitabha did in his prime.
Before he gains the strength to oppose the world, this cultivator of Luo Tian Fa will become an aberration in the eyes of every Concealing Heaven cultivator.
This isn’t about whether Luo Fu harbors hostility toward other Concealing Heaven cultivators—they won’t peacefully coexist with him regardless.
To some extent, Luo Fu himself, as a cultivator of Luo Tian Fa, is a thorn in the flesh, a dagger in the eye of every Concealing Heaven cultivator.
This is a struggle of Dao, a struggle of lineage—more brutal than any conflict over interests.
If Luo Fu openly walks the world, his existence will be like Bruno in the Middle Ages boldly proclaiming heliocentrism.
Why? Because Luo Tian Fa is fundamentally incompatible with the Concealing Heaven path; as long as he lives, his Luo Tian Fa is a glaring provocation to every Concealing Heaven cultivator.
This isn’t to say other Concealing Heaven cultivators are petty enough to forbid the existence of other systems.
Quite the opposite.
This provocation is like matter and antimatter: contact results in mutual annihilation.
The uncanny valley effect: humans feel fear when confronted with something that resembles a human but isn’t quite one.
In the eyes of other Concealing Heaven cultivators, Luo Fu—who has walked the Luo Tian Fa path—is even more unsettling than an uncanny valley figure.
Even Ye Hei and Pang Bo experienced intense discomfort when Luo Fu first stepped onto the Luo Tian Fa path.
This has nothing to do with cognition, interests, or ideology—it is a conflict arising from incompatible forms of existence at the very essence of life.
This conflict, rooted in the essence of life, has no possibility of reconciliation.
Perhaps some might ignore Luo Fu’s existence, but most Concealing Heaven cultivators will instinctively develop hostility toward him due to that uncanny valley-like sensation.
This hostility will make Luo Fu the target of all.
After the joke, Pang Bo said with concern: “Lao Luo… when are Itachi planning to part ways with us?”
“Now.”
The instant Pang Bo finished speaking, Luo Fu—as if he had anticipated the question—answered without pause, delivering a response that caught them off guard.
At the very moment Luo Fu spoke those words,
several streaks of light shot swiftly across the sky.
Though Luo Fu, having lost his past and future and existing only in the present,
renders him unlocatable by any means—even by Emperor Zun, the awakened Ferocious Great Emperor, the returned Wu Shi Great Emperor, the Immortal Emperor of Undeath, and others returning from strange spaces—
the commotion Luo Fu caused earlier was too great to ignore.
These streaks of light flying across the sky are precisely the result of that disturbance.
Fortunately, Luo Fu and the others had hidden well—but such concealment won’t last long.
The disturbance Luo Fu caused was truly shocking.
Only now, because his newly forged Luo Tian Fa—a system utterly unlike the Concealing Heaven path—has not yet been exposed.
Otherwise, merely the instinctive revulsion his existence evokes in Concealing Heaven cultivators—like the uncanny valley effect—would have instantly made Luo Fu a target more despised than Amitabha ever was.
Setting aside the difference between Luo Tian Fa and the Concealing Heaven path,
in fact, Luo Fu’s achievement in forging Luo Tian Fa is no less difficult than becoming a Mortal Immortal in an era where the path to Dao Proclamation is severed and Emperor status is the ceiling.
Yes.
Luo Fu’s Luo Tian Fa is, in essence, a true, unobstructed path to Immortality.
Though even Luo Fu, its true creator, currently possesses only the strength equivalent to the Immortal Platform realm of the Concealing Heaven path,
the accumulated foundation he shares grants him the confidence to reach True Immortal, even Immortal King status.
After previously forging the Nine Heavens Treasure Tree and realizing he already possessed the foundation of one life as nine lives—one life capable of achieving Immortality,
Despite his low power at the time, Luo Fu stood on the same threshold of Mortal Immortality as the Ninth Life’s Tribulation Heavenly Sovereign and the Ninth Life’s Ye Hei.
Achieving Immortality through nine lives isn’t simply living nine lives mechanically. It requires different methods.
Like the Immortality Herb: it allows an aging Emperor to live a second life, but after the second life, it becomes utterly useless to an Emperor.
In short, the path to Mortal Immortality offers no shortcuts; any method that succeeds is marked by the universe and can never be used again.
In the Concealing Heaven universe, achieving Mortal Immortality is like repeatedly exploiting loopholes in the cosmic Dao according to one’s own conditions.
But each loophole can be used only once.
Only by achieving the miracle of Dao Proclamation as Emperor nine times through nine distinct methods can one trigger a qualitative leap into Mortal Immortality.
Compared to other Concealing Heaven cultivators, who must exhaust their wisdom and talent to devise ways to live nine lives,
Luo Fu has clearly boarded the express train.
Now, Luo Fu’s greatest obstacle to Immortality is not external—it is himself.
Achieving Immortality through nine lives is difficult beyond measure, like a miracle—precisely because its probability is so low.
But given the vast number of cultivators in this universe, every time a Concealing Heaven cultivator breaks through a realm, it is like accomplishing a miracle.
To repeatedly seize miracles within miracles, one can imagine how difficult Dao Proclamation truly is.
Yet even so, the greatest challenge of the nine-lives path lies only in how, at the end of each life, to live another life using a method different from the previous one.
Once this hurdle is overcome, for a Concealing Heaven cultivator who has already achieved Dao Proclamation, repeating the process becomes as easy as riding a familiar path—merely creating a new Emperor Scripture and retracing the same journey.
This path has been trodden by countless others; the accumulated experience of countless predecessors shines like lighthouses on the Dao ahead, guiding the way.
As long as the direction remains true, the goal is crystal clear.
But Luo Fu is different.
Cultivating the Dao is like crossing a chaotic sea of suffering.
Whether the Perfect Method or the Concealing Heaven path—both are Dao paths clearly mapped out by greats after they achieved mastery; they are systems already proven and traversed.
But Luo Tian Fa—Luo Fu is its sole creator. Even though he knows he possesses the foundation to cross the chaotic sea of suffering and carve a path through it, after switching to his own Luo Tian Fa, Luo Fu is as if blindfolded.
His Luo Tian Fa has no predecessors to follow; from the moment he switched to Luo Tian Fa,
he lost his direction, lost his goal—like being trapped in a pitch-black room where all directions are invisible, and the only way out is to find a single narrow exit within the vast space.
In which direction is this exit? The Concealing Heaven path has its predecessor—the “Body as Seed” method, pioneered by the Vast Heaven Emperor.
It is like a beacon guiding all cultivators, giving them a common exit.
But Luo Fu? He doesn’t even know which direction his own Luo Tian Fa’s exit lies.
Hearing that Luo Fu would part ways with them so soon,
Ye Hei and Pang Bo were still stunned.
But Hei Huang suddenly bristled all over.
“Woof.” He lowered his voice and scanned the surroundings warily: “We’ve got trouble.”
“Not us,” Luo Fu smiled, his eyes gleaming with resolve. “This trouble has nothing to do with Itachi.”
“Lao Luo,” Ye Hei and Pang Bo now also noticed more and more cultivators approaching from all directions.
Luo Fu waved his hand. “Go! Leave now while Itachi still can. Today’s parting may be our last reunion for a long time. I’m unfit to be the Sect Master of the Tianxuan Sect—henceforth, the Tianxuan Sect is in your hands.”
As he spoke, Luo Fu flipped his hand and sent a golden book before Ye Hei and Pang Bo.
Ye Hei and Pang Bo recognized it at once—it was the Tianxuan Golden Book.
Although the Tianxuan Golden Book had originally been given to Luo Fu by the former Tianxuan Sect Master, now a wasteland slave,
since the Tianxuan Sect’s revival, Ye Hei and Pang Bo are considered disciples of the Tianxuan Sect.
And they had read the Tianxuan Golden Book—containing the sect’s legacy—more than once.
Previously, it was merely a matter of flipping through this Heaven-Spin Golden Book, but now, once accepted, it meant bearing the heavy responsibility of the Heaven-Spin Sacred Site’s legacy.
After a moment of silence, Ye Hei and Pang Bo exchanged glances, and finally Ye Hei took the Heaven-Spin Golden Book with both hands. “Luo Fu, Itachi must be careful—no matter what, Itachi are still the former Sacred Master of the Heaven-Spin Sacred Site.”
Luo Fu gave a slight nod; at this moment, he had no desire to indulge in sentiment with Ye Hei.
After explaining the sacred maidens, sacred sons, and other figures he had previously arranged for the Heaven-Spin Sacred Site,
Luo Fu immediately began urging Ye Hei and the others to leave.
After all, the cultivators who had gathered here had not previously known that their purpose in coming was none other than Luo Fu.
But now, Luo Fu might be able to deceive lesser cultivators with his Dual-Hand Technique, comparable to a weakened version of the Woxuanzaohua .
Those true masters of the Cover-Heaven Law system would likely recognize Luo Fu as an aberration at a single glance.
Luo Fu stood on the brink of becoming an enemy to all under heaven.
