Chapter 51: New Arrival
After Snape left, Dumbledore let out a long breath and complained, “I remember Itachi promised me last night to be quieter.”
Chu Yang thought hard but couldn’t recall ever promising Dumbledore to be quiet; however, seeing the old man’s displeased expression, he quickly nodded and offered sincere apologies.
Dumbledore’s frown eased slightly as he asked slowly, “First-years haven’t even taken Charms yet—where did Itachi learn that spell? Itachi defeated upperclassmen—that’s beyond my expectations.”
The students who lost to Chu Yang, Marcus and Harper, were both fifth-years.
Among the other students, the highest year was even a seventh-year graduate!
Upon learning of Chu Yang’s performance, even Dumbledore—who had seen countless extraordinary things—could not hide his astonishment.
Tom Riddle himself, later known as Voldemort, never displayed such extraordinary ability in his first year.
“Headmaster Dumbledore, I used all the stipend the school gave me to buy books,” Chu Yang said with a shy smile. “My trunk is filled with spellbooks for all seven years.”
“Seven years’ worth of books?” Dumbledore said, half-disbelieving, half-moved. “I admire your dedication to learning, but I must remind Itachi—Hogwarts textbooks aren’t fixed; they depend entirely on your instructors.”
“The books Itachi bought may only count as supplementary reading.”
Chu Yang fell silent for a moment, then said calmly, “It doesn’t matter. Reading more books never hurts.”
Dumbledore nodded approvingly. “Well said. A wizard’s power comes from knowledge; magic is secondary. Many adult wizards still don’t understand this.”
Then Dumbledore asked Chu Yang to demonstrate the spells he had mastered. Except for a few unsuitable for demonstration, Chu Yang cast nearly all the spells listed in “Elementary Spells.”
Though delighted, Dumbledore’s expression grew grave. Brilliant students bring teachers joy—but also fear they might stray down dangerous paths.
Dumbledore warned Chu Yang: “Itachi’ve felt the power of spells, understood the profundity of magic—so use it with greater caution. Remember: use it correctly.”
Chu Yang nodded. Dumbledore might as well have told him outright: Don’t become the next Dark Lord.
“Very well, Itachi may return. Don’t forget to go to the Great Hall for lunch,” Dumbledore waved, signaling Chu Yang to leave.
The heavy wooden door groaned painfully. As Chu Yang stepped out of the headmaster’s office, his vision blurred suddenly—the familiar sensation told him his Soul Palace was calling him.
In an instant, mist drew Chu Yang into the Soul Palace, where he saw two “selves” long absent standing beside the throne.
Beside them, Chu Yang spotted a third “self”—newly arrived!
The four naturally gathered, touched each other, and began sharing memories and power from this period.
After sharing memories, Chu Yang stared in surprise at the newcomer.
The newest addition to the Soul Palace was Chu Yang from the world of Demon Slayer.
Demon Slayer Chu Yang said, shuddering, “Itachi have no idea how terrifying it was—I lived alone in the mountains, and after dark, I never dared step outside!”
“The day before I entered this palace, I encountered a demon. If the Demon Slayer Corps hadn’t arrived in time, I’d be dead!”
Pirate Chu Yang asked curiously, “Where are Itachi now?”
Demon Slayer Chu Yang thought a moment, then replied, “Probably Butterfly House. When I was injured and unconscious, the Demon Slayer Corps brought me here. When I woke up, I found many patients—and I saw Shinobu Kocho.”
Naruto Chu Yang warned him, “Itachi must seize this chance to join the Demon Slayer Corps. Breathing Techniques are invaluable—they unlock human potential.”
“I never dared consider it before—I just wanted to survive until the story ended. In that place, just staying alive was hard enough,” Demon Slayer Chu Yang sighed. “But now, it’s no problem.”
Magic Chu Yang reassured him: “Don’t feel guilty. Newcomers always get free access on their first visit. We’re all one family—cooperation and mutual gain is the way.”
Naruto Chu Yang chuckled. “Fine, free access it is—I’m used to it. But honestly, magic’s kind of interesting. I’m tempted to pause my ninjutsu training and focus on magic for a while.”
Magic Chu Yang immediately shut down that childish idea. “Every time we return to the Soul Palace, our skills sync to the highest level among us. Each of us must specialize in one ability—dividing attention is wasteful!”
Naruto Chu Yang paused, then suddenly understood. He’d always assumed the Soul Palace’s skill sharing worked like talent stacking—adding everyone’s talents together.
Pirate Chu Yang nodded. “I only realized this after returning to my world. So lately, I haven’t distracted myself with chakra or Wood Release—I’ve been solidifying Haki.”
Magic Chu Yang said, “Haki is the strongest power in the Pirate World. At advanced levels, it can suppress and forcibly break Devil Fruit abilities. And Itachi must master Conqueror’s Haki as soon as possible.”
Pirate Chu Yang shook his head. “I know—but Conqueror’s Haki is innate. I might not have it.”
Magic Chu Yang countered, “For others, maybe it’s innate. But for us, it’s just a matter of numbers. Not now doesn’t mean never. Your task is to find experts who master Conqueror’s Haki—and experience its power.”
Pirate Chu Yang found Magic Chu Yang’s logic sound and began thinking about which Conqueror’s Haki users he might encounter soon.
Naruto Chu Yang teased, “Someone who’s read books really is different—Itachi’ve laid it all out for us so clearly.”
Although memories and innate talents are shared,
each Chu Yang’s personality diverges due to environmental and growth factors.
Following Magic Chu Yang’s advice, each Chu Yang chose to specialize in the unique power of their own world.
After mutual sharing, every Chu Yang’s strength underwent a qualitative leap.
The mist appeared on schedule, returning them to their respective worlds.
Pirate World.
After spending months aboard the Sun Pirates, Chu Yang gradually adapted to pirate life. He had learned many steering techniques from Sanji and occasionally even took his place.
As the incident of the Burning of the Holy Land grew more infamous, the Navy intensified its pursuit of the Sun Pirates.
During this time, Chu Yang helped the Sun Pirates repel several naval assaults.
In gratitude, Tegu repeatedly invited him to join the Sun Pirates.
But Chu Yang still refused.
Tegu had his own goals; the Sun Pirates’ direction was dictated by Tegu. Chu Yang had his own path—and that destined him to never truly belong here.
