Chapter 515: This Little Girl Is a Dragon?
“She is Gegelan, a warrior of our ‘Azure Rose.’ Though she looks rough, she’s quite reliable—but I hope you keep your distance from her.”
“Ibiruai, our team’s magic chanter. Though she joined us last, she’s the strongest among us.”
“It took all of us, plus another powerful magic chanter, to barely defeat her.”
“Tiya and Tina are twin sisters and exceptionally skilled assassins.”
In the square before the Wang Gong, Lahuosi, now dressed in adventurer gear, happily introduced her companions to Shengzai.
“The Azure Rose—I’ve heard of you all for a long time. It’s an honor to embark on this adventure with such outstanding adventurers.”
“My identity has surely been explained to you by Lahuosi, but while adventuring, please call me Shengzai.”
“And this is my companion—her name is Jin Long, also a magic chanter.”
Although the Azure Rose had never met Shengzai in person, they knew plenty about him.
Leaving aside Shengzai’s fame within the kingdom, their team leader constantly talked about him as her fiancé.
“So you’re the genius third prince Lahuosi talks about every day?”
“You really are a fine man—but judging by your appearance, you’re still a virgin, aren’t you? Haven’t you… with Lahuosi…?”
Before Gegelan could finish, her bulky body was slapped aside by Lahuosi’s magic sword.
Tiya and Tina, fellow teammates, were unfazed by the scene—they just hadn’t expected Gegelan to be so bold as to tease her commander’s fiancé to his face.
“I… Shengzai, this woman’s scent isn’t human—it’s a vampire.”
Jin Long paid little attention to the others, but when Lahuosi introduced Ibiruai, she immediately recognized her true identity and spoke up.
“Hmph, I’m a vampire, and aren’t you a dragon? Aren’t dragons supposed to be the most arrogant? How come you’re associating with mere humans?”
Jin Long recognized Ibiruai as nonhuman, and Ibiruai, in turn, recognized Jin Long as not human.
“Dragon? So Jin Long isn’t just got a weird name—she’s actually a dragon?”
Upon hearing Ibiruai’s words, the rest of the Azure Rose were equally stunned.
Dragons are one of the highest-tier races—possessing immense physical strength and the ability to wield magic, they’ve always reigned atop the food chain.
They never imagined their own team had a vampire, and now the third prince of the kingdom was accompanied by a dragon!
And a dragon capable of taking human form—surely that wasn’t an ordinary dragon.
Either she was an entity too powerful for them to comprehend, or she wasn’t pure dragon blood—perhaps a human with dragon lineage, like the queen of the Dragon Kingdom.
The Azure Rose members concluded Jin Long’s case was most likely the latter.
The reason was simple: as Ibiruai had just said, dragons are not only powerful but also among the most arrogant races.
For them to kneel as adventurers and travel alongside humans was simply implausible.
Moreover, they hadn’t felt any overwhelming pressure emanating from Jin Long. (She had suppressed her power.)
So they naturally assumed Jin Long was merely a special being with partial dragon blood.
Of course, even that was extraordinary—dragon blood meant her potential far exceeded that of humans, explaining why Jin Long, despite appearing as a little girl, possessed power equal to theirs.
“Shengzai, how did you meet Jin Long?”
Among the subhuman races with dragon blood, Lahuosi could only think of the Dragon Kingdom—whose current queen, known as the “Black-Scaled Dragon King,” Drolodion Oriclyus, carried the blood of the Dragon King.
And like Jin Long, she appeared as a little girl.
So Lahuosi now suspected Jin Long might have some connection to the Dragon Kingdom.
“I picked this thing up on the road. I asked her—she has no ties to the Dragon Kingdom.”
“Just treat her like a regular adventurer. Give her food, and she has zero dragon pride.”
“I… Shengzai, you’re being too harsh—I am…”
Before Jin Long could finish, Shengzai shoved a massive roasted meat leg—pulled from who-knew-where—straight into her mouth.
The aroma of the roast instantly silenced her, and she began greedily gnawing, completely abandoning all dignity.
Seeing this, the Azure Rose members felt their entire understanding of dragons collapse.
They now understood how Shengzai had “rescued” this dragon loli—and tricked her into following him.
The capital city, Adventurer’s Guild.
When the Azure Rose entered, every eye in the hall turned toward them.
The Adventurer’s Guild is a transnational organization with over a million members—but so far, only three teams had reached Steel Rank.
So it was natural for other adventurers to look upon the Azure Rose with admiration and reverence.
“I’m sorry, but this quest requires at least Bronze Rank. You’re Silver Rank, so…”
Seeing the guild official’s hesitation, Shengzai waved the Azure Rose’s banner: “No need to worry—I’m partnering with the Azure Rose on this quest.”
To confirm Shengzai’s claim, Lahuosi stepped forward: “It’s true. This ‘Shy Loli King’ may be Silver Rank, but his team’s strength rivals ours. No need to doubt.”
With the Steel Rank Azure Rose vouching for him, Shengzai successfully took the Bronze Rank quest.
But Lahuosi couldn’t understand why Shengzai chose the distant southern desert among so many Bronze Rank quests nearby.
The Ri Ye Sitijie Kingdom lies in the northwest corner of the continent; the southern desert they were heading to lay beyond the kingdom’s border—and even beyond the Southern Siren Theocracy.
Such a long journey, no matter how lucrative the reward, was pure hardship with little gain.
