Chapter 64: Shengzai: This Isn
Shengzai, who had shared the powers of multiple worlds, had long since developed acute senses; though the distance was great, he still heard Kirigaya and Sachi’s conversation, and was suddenly hit with a wave of dog food.
Because of my interference, the “Moonlit Black Cat Gang” can no longer be wiped out.
That means, as Kirigaya’s first love, Sachi won’t die now.
So here’s the question: Kirigaya’s true love is now Sachi—what about Asuna?
After all, according to the plot, although Kirigaya met Asuna first, the one he truly fell in love with first was Sachi.
After Sachi died, he even challenged the corrupted Santa Claus on Christmas Eve; upon learning the so-called “revival item” was only effective within ten seconds, he even considered ending his own life.
Clearly, back then, Kirigaya deeply loved Sachi—even Asuna at that time likely couldn’t match Sachi’s standing.
I changed a tragedy and saved lives that were meant to perish, yet I’ve now erased Asuna’s position as the main wife…
As evening approached, Shengzai and the others returned to the town of Gildstein on the 25th floor.
Declining the celebration invitation from the “Moonlit Black Cat Gang,” Shengzai watched the affectionate Kirigaya and Sachi, and couldn’t help but feel a headache coming on.
Judging by how intimate Kirigaya and Sachi were, marriage was clearly just a matter of time.
So what about Asuna…?
“Shengzai, where the hell have you been all day?!”
“Do you know I waited for you at your shop the entire afternoon? If not for Meiyi telling me I might find you here, I’d have…”
Just as Shengzai was about to bid farewell to Kirigaya and the others, a figure suddenly stormed over from afar upon seeing Shengzai, grabbed one of his ears, and twisted hard.
But quickly, Asuna, her face flushed with anger, realized that the people before her were now staring at her with curiosity.
This made Asuna instantly realize there were outsiders present, and she immediately blushed bright red.
“Oh? Kirigaya, you’re here too? Long time no see. And who are these people?”
In response to Asuna’s greeting, Kirigaya nodded politely, though he really wanted to complain that he’d been right here the whole time—she’d just seen Shengzai and ignored him.
But in the end, what came out was: “Yeah, it’s been a while, Asuna.”
“These are members of my current guild, the ‘Moonlit Black Cat Gang’: Sasamaru, Tie Xiong, Dakar, and Sachi.”
When Kirigaya introduced Sachi, Shengzai beside him clearly perked up.
After all, this was the brutal love triangle between first love and the main wife! Though it felt a bit disloyal to his buddy, as a fan of drama who loved watching chaos, his excitement over this scene was immense.
“I’m Asuna. Nice to meet you all. I never expected Kirigaya, who always preferred solo play, would join a guild.”
“I invited him many times before, but he always turned me down.”
“Now it seems his excuse about preferring solitude was just a lie—what he really meant was there was no one he cared about in my guild, right?”
As Asuna spoke, she deliberately glanced toward Sachi beside Kirigaya.
As a woman, Asuna was naturally perceptive in emotional matters; though she’d barely known them, she could instantly tell something was off between Kirigaya and Sachi!
Meanwhile, Shengzai, beside them, was eagerly anticipating how Sachi would respond to Asuna’s direct attack, wondering how this love triangle would end.
But then Asuna’s next words left Shengzai frozen in place.
“But Sachi, you’ve got good taste—Kirigaya may be a bit clumsy at times, but he’s a responsible man, nothing like that guy!”
“As his friend, I’m glad he found friends like you.”
Hearing Asuna’s words, Sachi bowed gracefully in thanks, while Shengzai, who had been waiting for blood to flow, stood there dumbfounded.
The love triangle ended like this? That’s not right! How weak is Asuna?!
Didn’t she used to fight fiercely in love triangles with other female characters in the plot? Or is Sachi actually a hidden master who just used some secret technique I didn’t understand?
“Shengzai, even Kirigaya, a famous solo player, has joined a guild—shouldn’t you consider giving up your stubbornness and joining our guild too?”
Hearing Asuna’s sudden, unexpected remark, Shengzai was completely stunned.
What the hell? You, Asuna, see Kirigaya cheating and don’t react at all—and now you’re targeting me?!
Kirigaya joining the “Moonlit Black Cat Gang” because of Sachi—what possible connection does that have to whether I, Shengzai, join your guild?!
“No, no, no, please spare me—joining a guild just isn’t for me.”
“Besides, you, ‘Flash’ Asuna, are a superstar of the Gonglvezu —every time I stand next to you, I feel immense pressure.”
“The male players already look at me like they want to kill me; if I joined your guild, it’d be better to just kill me now.”
Hearing Shengzai’s immediate and unhesitating refusal, Asuna puffed out her cheeks, then gave him a sharp elbow to the ribs: “Are you really that weak, ‘Saint’? Afraid of trouble?”
“And I’ve already found the thing you asked me to look for last time—if you don’t agree now, I won’t give it to you.”
Hearing Asuna’s words, the members of the “Moonlit Black Cat Gang” suddenly realized and exclaimed: “‘Flash’ Asuna and ‘Saint’ Shengzai?”
“No wonder I thought your names sounded familiar—it really is you two!”
“But aren’t ‘Flash’ and ‘Saint’ both big figures in the Gonglvezu ? Why are you friends with Kirigaya? Does that mean…”
Seeing there was no more hiding, Kirigaya didn’t conceal it further—he openly admitted he was also a member of the Gonglvezu .
But to Kirigaya’s surprise, even Sachi and the others in the “Moonlit Black Cat Gang” showed no great shock upon learning the truth.
They were young, but not stupid; since Kirigaya joined their guild, their progress had been smooth and their strength had skyrocketed.
They hadn’t noticed it before, but after seeing Shengzai’s performance today, Sasamaru and the others realized Kirigaya’s level and power were on a completely different plane from theirs.
And the thing Kirigaya had feared never happened—after learning his true level, Sasamaru and the others didn’t ostracize him; instead, they marveled at their luck for recruiting such a powerhouse.
