Chapter 1848: Year-End Summary
First of all, I wish everyone health, happiness, emotional stability, a strong inner core, and lasting wealth!
Then let's think about what I should report to you all today...
There's quite a bit.
Let's go through it one by one.
First, my health status. I've gained another five jin this year, becoming even rounder, but fortunately, I'm fair and chubby, so I look wealthy (this isn't narcissism; everyone says so, so if there's a misunderstanding, the world must be deceiving me).
My height remains the same.
My thyroid is the same as always; one doctor suggests medication, another doesn't. I have high blood lipids, blood sugar risks, and fatty liver (due to certain genetic factors), but fortunately, after medication and dietary control, everything looked quite good in the January check-up, which makes me very happy and satisfied.
(By the way, I was so busy in January that I lost three jin.)
Emotions: Overall happy. My sleep was adjusted at the end of the year, going to bed after twelve and getting 6-8 hours of sleep—super happy.
My emotions have reached self-consistency, not the forced happiness from before. For example, when I fell out of a window and landed on my butt, hitting my head on a flower bed (it was quite embarrassing, so I won't go into details), my first reaction was to get up as if nothing happened, and then think: Wow, I'm so lucky! Grateful to all my guardian spirits and the world consciousness!
When I realized what happened, I was happy again.
In short, I'm happy overall.
Many things happened this year. My waist, cervical spine, and sacroiliac joints were all protesting (don't worry, they're being managed quite well now; after all, I'm in my early thirties).
And there's the dyshidrotic eczema that's still ongoing; because of the constant peeling, I still can't unlock my phone or smart lock with my fingerprints.
My mom broke her leg a few months ago and still hasn't recovered. There were some annoying things in my family planning, and some economic aspects...
However, during this period, I gained countless good friends. Many people I've never met or only spoken to once or twice took the initiative to help me.
I'm extremely grateful and feel that I've been quite successful as a person. Because of this, I feel my inner core must be quite strong too.
Enough about people; let's talk about the book.
"Song Tan" has been serialized for almost three years!
It started publishing on July 13, 2022, and now it's 2025. The story is still very long. I felt extremely exhausted many times in the middle, but I gritted my teeth and held on.
I will tell it slowly and in detail, hoping that everyone will gain happiness from it. I won't talk about values or elevate themes; my stories are always intended to make everyone happy.
In 2025, I will still work hard to make everyone happy.
In terms of writing, I still lack a lot. I will never catch up with hot topics or traffic codes, and explosive popularity seems to be out of reach.
But I have always been improving myself. I am currently continuing to read and listen to some online courses.
This year's annual courses come from Teacher Dai Jianye's paid online courses, Teacher Yan Buke's public courses on ancient history, Teacher Chen Suzhen's ancient history, and Teacher Feng Shi's ancient Chinese astronomy and calendar...
And some courses by Teacher Cui Li Hua from the Party School related to politics that might be blocked. You can't find these online, but I've listened to public lectures, and they are very exciting.
I dare not say I listened very carefully; it belongs to the kind of thing I must listen to when taking a bath or doing handicrafts. Most of the time, the knowledge flows out quietly, but psychological comfort has been achieved.
For many years to come, I will still work hard to present more and more beautiful stories to you.
Because if I want to tell a story, I must truly love it, and even the process of writing it is happy. I am also fortunate that there are so many people in the world who share the same joy and preferences as me.
Every protagonist—perhaps my writing skills weren't up to par back then, my words didn't express my meaning, or my thoughts were outdated... but when I described them, I was presenting them earnestly.
I wrote over 2 million words in 2024. In 2025, I hope to work harder; I don't want to be a pigeon anymore!!! I really swear every day that I must work hard, but it's too difficult! There are still many, many details to write for Song Tan.
The next book will be about ancient infrastructure or urban god-level wealth...
By the way, my HP fan fiction, which I'm doing for love, really needs to be dragged on again, because I watched the movie and compared it to the original work two days ago and found that I had forgotten many details!
Also, the free extra chapters of "Huai Yu" are accumulating. Because I don't know if I can still publish chapters after the end, I want to try to write them all at once.
So—
Please check the "2024 Annual Report of the Song of Thorns"
2025, full of blessings.
I'll come to pay you a New Year's call with full updates at the beginning of spring!
Wish everyone a Happy New Year, health, and happiness! Refuse internal friction, maintain yourself!
