Chapter 834: Underestimating Lin Feng, the College Student Non-Commissioned Officer!

(Studies at the national university are coming to an end. Next, we will form a new squadron and solicit a name for it.

Recently, the Lunar New Year is approaching; I've been purchasing supplies, cleaning the house, and guests have been coming constantly—time is too tight!

Updates are a bit slow; it's not that I'm cutting corners or being lazy. I ask the Chiefs to please understand.)

Amidst warm applause, the speech segment concluded.

Lin Feng's speech this time could not be called brilliant, but it hit the nail on the head.

Contemporary soldiers indeed face many dilemmas.

Difficulties in finding a spouse, difficulties in caring for the elderly, difficulties in children's schooling, difficulties in spousal employment, and so on.

As a low-income profession, it is inevitably looked down upon by others.

Everything, all of it, cannot be changed by individual will alone.

It requires the state to conduct popular science, promote it widely, and improve the public's awareness!

The speech ending did not mean the school anniversary celebration was over.

Next came the exchange, fundraising, and tour segments where the elites gathered.

One of the purposes of the school anniversary was to accept donations from outstanding alumni from all walks of life.

Lin Feng and Jiang Yuying symbolically donated twenty thousand.

It was not out of stinginess, but because there were objective reasons.

First, Lin Feng was a soldier, which was synonymous with being "poor."

Second, Jiang Yuying was a state-owned enterprise employee, and she couldn't give people the impression of being "filthy rich."

Third, both of them were in the establishment, and they saw through the filth within it clearly.

As a national-level key university directly managed by the Ministry of Education, Jiaoda was one of the top.

The funds allocated every year amounted to hundreds of millions.

There were also various fees paid by students; theoretically, they would absolutely not be short of money.

So what was the fundraising about?

Nominally, it was for scholarship systems, building various advanced laboratories, etc.

In reality, scholarships were allocated by the headquarters, and advanced laboratories would also be funded by cooperative units.

So, in the end, no one knew what the raised money was used for...

During the tour, Jiang Yuliang approached.

"Junior Lin Feng, how should I address you?"

"Senior Jiang, you can just call me Xiao Lin."

At the right moment, Department Head Mo Chunxiao walked over.

"Deputy Mayor Jiang, are you very interested in this kid?"

Hearing this, Jiang Yuliang nodded with a deep smile.

"Old Mo, you stayed at the school to teach back then."

"Although you have been diligent for half a lifetime and educated countless people,"

"your information is now blocked, and you are not sensitive to politics!"

Without a doubt, Jiang Yuliang and Mo Chunxiao were university classmates.

It was just because their choices back then were different that they had different career achievements.

Clearly, a department head could not be compared to a deputy mayor.

Seeing that his old classmate didn't understand, Jiang Yuliang's smile deepened.

"Old Mo, you have underestimated Comrade Lin Feng."

"According to the latest public announcement from the General Office, he has already been promoted to Deputy Director of the First Office."

What? Could such a thing actually happen?

"You kid, did you really get promoted to Deputy Director of the First Office?"

Facing the staring eyes, Lin Feng could only laugh sheepishly.

"It's just a concurrent post; my primary duty is being a soldier."

"By the way, you and Senior Jiang chat; I'll take my girlfriend around." ===== CHAPTER 836 =====
