Qiao Hushui stepped out, and Lan Yue Niang stopped pulling the weeds.

Gao Shi was so angry she wanted to scold Lan Yue Niang, but she held back.

Gao Shi shouted at Qiao Hushui.

Lan Yue Niang couldn't stand it any longer; she stepped out, threw the weeds in her hand beside Gao Shi, startling her.

Lan Yue Niang said in a voice neither loud nor soft, "I just dropped a weed, I didn't hit you; don't wrong me."

Gao Shi's gaze turned toward Qiao Hushui standing nearby.

Gao Shi was very angry; she told Qiao Shanshui everything Qiao Xingsheng had said and the previous events.

Bai Zhaodi indeed went to the kitchen to boil water, but she kept an eye on the outside; upon learning that Qiao Sheng had opened a small restaurant, she ran out, "Mother, is it true? Did Qiao Lianhua really open a restaurant?"
