This is a gift,\" one said, laughing. \"We hit them where it hurts and didn't even have to lift a claw.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>By evening, Garuum made the call.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Move out,\" he shouted, his voice echoing through the trees. \"We're taking the site now.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The squads moved quickly. They were in formation but relaxed, like they had already won.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>When they arrived at the resource zone, the surprise was even bigger.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The place was clean. Some beasts broke off to search the surroundings; others began tearing down whatever was left behind.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Inside the old camp storage tent, one of the captains found a few leftover jars of spiritual water and shouted, \"They even left supplies!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>That sent another round of laughter through the ranks.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Garuum climbed a small boulder and raised his clawed fist.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Listen up, all of you! Humans aren't stupid.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"They left behind just enough scraps to make us think they ran,\" another said. \"But what if they're nearby? Waiting?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Maybe. Or maybe they want us to relax, lower our guard.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They looked toward Garuum, who was now grabbing a jug of fermented fruit drink and dumping it straight down his throat.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>One of the younger beasts approached them. \"Should we report this to the commander?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The older one shook his head slowly. \"He won't listen.
